Uncle Ike's - Central District

6/24/2016
Uncle Ike's is the quintessential tourist dispensary located in a trendy neighborhood. The budtender was not knowledgeable and the service felt rushed and the prices were outrageous for what your actually buying. The one saving grace of Uncle Ike's was the quality of their Joints. I toked down a 36.1% GDP one gramer and huffed it all down, it was divine! I had never actually tasted such well grown bud since my days in Canada. The Hybrids and Indica's are a real treat up here! Strong & fruity, pungent, yet light when smoking. Very refreshing! Overall, it is a nice shop but way to busy and cramped to really get into the buds and speak with someone who is not trying to sell you 40 mg lemon-ginger soda's at $30 a pop! *In Denver, similar drink would cost $8-10 bucks on rec. market.

Seattle Cannabis Company - Recreational

6/24/2016
I got off the plane and the driver whisked me to SCC! I am on a world tour reviewing and blogging about all the new and established legal recreational and medicinal dispensaries across America. Here is my criteria for all my reviews: 1). Location 2). Knowledgable Staff/good vibe type atmosphere; welcoming. 3). Cleanliness 4). Pricing 5). Quality of product The location of SCC was in a pleasant and easily accessed neighborhood by taxi or Uber. I was pleasantly surprised at how much the staff knew and could explain about the synergy between CBD, CBN, THC Etc... The bud tender recommended I try a "Cherry Bliss" 80 mg soda just to feel the Seattle vibe. He was very clear that the product contained a 1:1 Ratio of THC to CBD. It was blissful just like the bottle and my bud tender said! Only 80 mg of THC but whomever brewed this batch had experience and 80 mg seemed just right. If your a novice purchase the 40 mg little brother and start with a 5-10 mg dose. I was shocked to find that: Seattle does not sell Gummy Candy because it is viewed as easy access for kids. So, I bought 10 bags of "Stoney Pebbles" and sucked on hard candy for a week! My teeth still hurt! Plus there is a ton of light corn syrup in these things so I decided to go for the capsule route of medicating. I first bought the sativa gel caps and after (25) minutes of carefully unwrapping, the reward was kind of a dud. For a non pro these are great daytime medicine but if you have a daily tolerance of delta 9 then you'll want the indica caps. The indica caps blend in melatonin and a pretty heavy Indica brow-riding, red eye, sleepy type effect. I thought out of all the edibles, besides chocolate, that his was the best route to go for price/10 mg dose and effect. If your looking for smoke, try the Allen Wrench Strain! I hit a nail like a roofer but this stuff blew my mind!!! Boasting a mere 22ish % THC it has a surprising 1.3 mg of CDB. The joint was rolled to perfection and it was one of those sesh's you just remember and want to share! Allen wrench was a perfect example of Pacific-Northwest Bud! Light and fruity with a refreshing right away the cerebral effects kick. 10-15 minutes later, the 2nd wave and the third wave just melts the stress! Don't miss this strain. Great for PTSD, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain and Stress. SCC had good pricing, was very clean, nice atmosphere and a very knowledgable staff. I will be back for more soon! Thanks guys!!!
