Westside Wellness

2/27/2018
I first visited Westside Wellness about three years ago after receiving our medical cards and is fairly close to where we live. The place was cool enough, people working were great, but prices were a little high compared to other dispensaries after getting up to speed on Leafy and able to shop around. I would still visit if there was some good deals. Then they started selling recreational. The shop was split between rec. and med. and separate counters and menus. They also had a very limited menu for med. compared to rec. for some reason. Rec. always had more selection and when I asked if I could get something from the rec. menu I had to pay rec. price. I understand that was the way the state policy was set up at first. But why offer some strains on one menu and not the other? Needless to say, I stopped going to Westside, but still do check out their menu once in a while. I did this Sunday 2/25 evening and found very great deals on two different strains. They were good strains and cheap, perfect for cannabutter. The menu had just been updated and I was going the next morning, which I did. But before going I finished somethings around the house, waited until around 1130am Mon 2/26 and verified their menu before I left. Both strains were still listed and off I went. I arrived shortly, checked in, etc. I asked the nice budtender for an oz of both strains, Animal Cookies (lower THC than one listed now) and LSD Afghani. To my amazement, she quickly stated both were sold out. Since I already made my 35-40 min trip, there was no sense walking out empty handed. I picked up four different 1/2 oz that were priced fairly, just under $280 for two ozs. My goal was to pick up the four strains I did get (lesser amount 1/4 oz) and the two cheap oz's, which would have been three oz's for just over $300, great deal for butter. I ended up walking out with less product and spending more money. I was pretty p...d off. I decided to do a little observation to Westside's menu updates. I checked their menu a couple hours after I got back home, around 230-3pm and both the cheap strains were listed. I then checked again at 911pm last night and the Animal Cookies was no longer listed, but the LSD Afghani was still listed. I am writing this review at 232p the next day and the LSD Afghani is still listed, same prices, everything. So I wonder why? I doubt I am the only person who relies on correct dispensary info, updates, and correct menu selection. This does not happen all the time, but I feel this time it is a blatant act. It is either to get people in the door, unethically, or the budtender just flat out lied. Either way, they gave me (and others) bad information, more-less they lie. So again I ask, why was I told what I wanted was sold out? And why is it still listed on the menu over 24 hrs later? I have decided Westside Wellness has unethical business practices and need to do some kind of company restructure. I would not and am not returning and I encourage everyone else to pass on Westside Wellness and find a more ethical and caring dispensary. Trust me, Westside Wellness is a dispensary that is not a must visit, it is a do not visit.
