Gary Payton reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Gary Payton.
If someone wants to know what it is like to be stoned versus high, this is the strain I would recommend. Gary put me in a couch lock at the end of a long night, making me raid my pantry for snacks as I listened to music before I went to sleep. He put my mind into a post-meditative calm and loosened my muscles enough for me to drift off to dream land after scarfing down some pringles. To me, being high feels uplifting and cerebral, but to be stoned is the opposite: becoming like a stone, which Gary does a supreme job at. As much as it is recreational, it also has great medical value as well. Gary's also good at dealing with any form of anxiety, pain, and sleeping problems, and great for digestion as well! Keep this in your night drawer, it's not recommended for day use outside of a lazy weekend. 5/5 for me.
Been going to the dispensary for about a year now trying different strains and i have to say this one is the best all around. Between this strain and "That Badu" strain both tie as my #1 favorites out of all the different strains in my opinion.#2 Kush Mints and #3 Purple ice cream cake. I read this strain has won many awards and I see why. I would recommend it for depression, stress , anxiety , pain insomnia, not much desire for munchies, but it is one of the best all around strains on the market in my opinion. You can't lose with this one. Will definitely put a smile on your face 😁.
Extremely peppery with a smooth apricot finish that leaves your face numb
Gart Payton has become my favorite strain. I really love the euphoric feeling Gary Payton gives.
Picked up an ounce of Gary Payton for the first time at ReLeaf out in Wayne, Michigan. As someone suffering from chronic pain, I tend to smoke every day with my dry herb vape. I also tend to lean towards more balanced hybrids, mostly so I get relief while I can still function.
Honestly, this batch of GP doesn't disappoint. The nugs are moderately sized and colorful, with a mix of greens and oranges. They also grind surprisingly well every time, crumbling into the perfect chunks for dry herb seshes. In terms of flavor, it's a savory mix of peppery and skunky. Vapor is incredibly smooth, too.
Effect-wise, I love this a lot. My chronic pain is quickly soothed after the first few puffs, leaving me well-medicated and creative without sacrificing function. Overall, it's a really stellar strain, but not for your first time, as it can take you by surprise with its strength. I recommend Gary Payton for more experienced users, for sure.
I dislike this strain. It's an anxiety thing. I am a daily smoker and this made me anxious and paranoid like crazy for 15-20 minutes. And I take meds for anxiety. However, once that passed and I smoked it a second time, it was much more enjoyable. But, the chance for paranoia is way too high.
Amazing. Strong. Chill. Relaxed af
I'm not often impressed with strains to the degree I am with Gary Payton. I'm a veteran smoker; I've medicated for almost 20 years. I've microdosed dab at least six times a day for the last two years.
The first hit made me relax after a long day. The second made me dance to the song in my head as if it were playing out loud. The final hit made me tingly, which equals arousal for me. My anxiety and ADHD-related racing thoughts are GONE. My psych meds can't do that. I have energy but not to the point I'll get stuck in a mental feedback loop of things I need to do. My chronic pain is almost gone. I'm hungry but I don't have heavy munchies. It's the closest to feeling buzzed like I've been drinking alcohol I've ever felt from a strain. 100 out of 10. New favorite strain.
