Gary Payton reviews
Snatched this bad boy up from Grow Science in AZ. There GP has always been fire but this little rosin cart smacked me into another dimension. Really strong and pungent diesel flavor that tastes like gas! It’s actually mouthwatering at the moment and I drooling on myself. Go get some!
Form- Flower.
Method- Smoked from a freshly cleaned bong.
THC %- unknown.
I'd like to start this review by saying my husband grows weed for a living, and one of the perks is that his company gives their employees free weed. The bags do not have anything other than the strain name on them, so I don't have any info about THC % or terpenes (It is not listed on their website yet either). I am a daily smoker with a very high tolerance, and this Gary Payton has me feeling high as f-ck right now! This is definitely one of my new favorite strains! 100% top shelf all the way. The nugs are sticky and dense. They are dark green with some orange hairs and a light layer of kief visible. The smell is peppery and VERY STRONG. I highly recommend that you invest in strong patchouli incense or a good air freshener spray with this one. As far as effects go, I've smoked about two bowls, and I feel happy and relaxed, and a floaty head high feeling is starting to creep in as I'm typing this. I can feel dry eye setting in a bit. I am not experiencing any paranoia or munchies so far. I suffer from Bipolar 1 (aka manic depression), anxiety, and PTSD, and I think that Gary Payton will help me treat all of them.
Gary Payton huh? I was taken by surprise in a in a spacious creatine inspired art and thoughts bsskd awareness and self projection in visualizing my self I'm the futire and sweinr where it is insane to be five years from now and continue to make the changes daily that will get me there later if I do what needs to be done now . Very thought provoking which then turns inspirational after instant euphoria and I could not do nothing I was propelled into activities that are healthy and beneficial I had clear focus of that and the whole time feeling lovely and pain free singing out loud sometimes and freestyle rapping for sure I'm from the south old school screw head to it's on the high ana psychedelic side for sure with a lovely feeling and you can get into something or just your mind will trip to . It's what you want but didn't know it yet for me . I always passed on Gary Payton till just an 1hiir ago and it's lit and lovely tastefull snellfull longlastinr strong and potentbflower weed smoke over all a great selves and will become a favorite of if 1st-2hits am I forgot when session starts or when it might not end . Any one will appreciate Gary Payton and also chief and chong in that strain some more doe sure at. Great rates it is potent and strong and effective immediately under fire good great strain 💪
Gary Payton (from Agro Couture) has been my favorite strain for some time now. I live in Oregon but drive 30 miles across the Colombia River into Washington state to get a hold of that fire. Because it’s that good. I've been smoking ganja for 3 decades and I have a very high tolerance, and these dark dank nugs can still get me high in a way that most weed cannot anymore. In fact GP is on my personal Mount Rushmore of cannabis strains, along with Perfect Pair, Chemdawg, and Kali Mist. But I think GP is the best of them, certainly the most complete. It doesn't just check all the boxes for what makes for a good high...it checks them with VIGOR. You might say it checks them, circles them, puts Xs through them, and then slams an ice pick down through each square.
I would describe the high as one of deep physical relaxation coupled with intense cerebral energy. I cannot even say that it leans sativa or indica because it absolutely crushes it on both counts. If you are new to cannabis, your face will surely melt.
Taste-wise, GP is delightful and hits you with flavors of apricot, lemon and lavender, but always with a strong diesel backbone. Think Jet Fuel flavors, but smoother than that, and with added nuance. There is even sweet vanilla to be detected by a discerning palate.
Tl;dr—Don't keep yourself waitin, buy Gary Payton.
I've actually tried this strain in flower and rosin, and they both have this very distinct smell and now I can definitely identify a cut of GP anytime I come across it, Best way I can describe it is it's kinda got this sour zingy pine🎍 type smell with some diesel ⛽ mixed in their, buds are light green, kinda skinny longer shaped buds with lots of orange hairs everywhere, definitely an uplifting type high at first, very cerebral, this one actually had me sitting at the computer at my job trying to clock in, but I was just staring at the screen have a deep conversation with myself in my head, now I haven't had that happen in a good minute, took some to smoke with 3 other friends and I got everyone wrecked, raiding the kitchen, asking me what the hell was in the that joint, lol ohhhhh and plus still to this very day, I bought a jar of Gary Payton hash rosin that was cold cured and let me tell you that was that best looking jar of rosin Ive every personally laid my eyes on, if you're thinking about trying this strain, and it looks like its a quality cut, you should definitely try it out its one of my all time faves now, but be cautious I can't say this one is for beginners REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER THE PERCENTAGE IS
This strain broke my depression streak, eliminated my daily struggle with anxiety and as a result broke my antisocial behavior and got me out of the house and social.
The munchies are real and strong, so I would very highly recommend this for anyone going under long term pain management or cancer treatment.
Overall pain relief and relaxation, uplifted spirit and finally got my appetite back. Getting couch locked is almost inevitable, but welcomed when finally able to relax.
As for smoking it, in a glass piece you are able to make some very dense and potent hits, but the flavor falls off a bit. Blunt paper seems like to work the best as far as how well it burns after going through a grinder, my personal favorite is smoking joints of this. Nice balance of how well it burns and the flavors you get which to me personally taste like a fruity sour diesel. Smells great burning, attracts attention in a good way.
Last aspect worth mentioning is the very noticeable increase in amount and quality of sleep I’ve gotten while trying this strain for the first time. I deal with a number of sleeping problems, all of which just seemed much more tolerable to the point of with no other sleep aids like melatonin or sedatives I am getting more and better sleep overall.
Well done to the biologists and botanists who made this hybrid! It’s the strain I never knew I needed. Feel free to contact me if you need a tester/reviewer. JNeistCYO@yahoo.com
The absolute best strain I have ever smoked, I’ve been buying ounces on ounces of this stuff. The high you get from smoking this just eases on so incredibly well, it’s not a light strain…IT WILL have you on YOUR ASS, but that’s what everyone loves! It’s got a perfect ratio between body and head highs. I’m a chronic smoker, others would say a stoner, I smoke maybe 8-10 grams a day, mainly for anxiety and stress. If you’re new to smoking I would only recommend you to load half a bowl, that’s how powerful this strain is.
As I said, I’m a chronic smoker. I’ve smoked multiple strains ranging from top of the shelf exotic, to just straight CBD bud. The Gary Payton bud in itself is a sight to see. It will sparkle in the light with its encrusted THC diamonds, look to long and you’ll get even more lost in the beautiful, vibrant purple Terps. Not only that but the smell is such a beautiful one. It has that stink musk that weed is known for but it’s countered by such a sharp sweetness that’ll leave your nose running! Not only is it extremely beautiful but it’s also immensely ambrosial.
Now, when I gutted my rillo and grinded my weed I noticed how easily it was to roll. I’ve never noticed this but I’ve heard someone say that Good weed will roll itself, and I have to say it most definitely WILL. It takes maybe 5 minutes to put together the ideal blunt. The trouble free rolling process isn’t even the premier of this paragraph. It all starts when I put my lighter to the blunt. I spark my lighter, and with my thumb and my index finger I gently roll my blunt to get a nice even burn, moving it to my mouth, slowly puffing in and out to provide and even burn. I’ve never in my life seen such a smooth and aesthetic smoke fall. The smoke was streaming through the blunt like a slow river current.
I love weed, everything about it..the smell, the feeling, the history, the chemistry, the biology, the manufacturing, just everything about it amazes me. If you actually read this review I really appreciate it, and I truly hope this persuades you to try some Gary Payton the next time you go Bud Searching, and when you do come across this beloved strain I hope it treats you as it has treated me.
Truly a wonderfully strain. 💨🍃
Got this as a Cookies™ cart at their store in Tacoma, WA. It's a potent antidepressant and antianxiety herbal godsend. For us who suffer from debilitating depression and anxiety, Cookies potent yet gentle uplifting, relaxing, euphoric strains offer significant relief. GP is no different. The cart tastes amazing, hits hard, a few puffs anytime to relax and chase the blues away. I don't know if it's the Cookies™ cart or what, but it's a great strain for vaping on the go, hitting hardand fast, 2-3 puffs on Low is all I need. Will get again. Their 'official" grows are expensive, but worth it. Flower or cart or concentrate. Gary Payton 5★/5. But we might be biased in Seattle 😉
