Headband is a strain that has been on my cannabis bucket list for a long time, and was recently just able to acquire some. I was giddy with glee when I was finally able to crack open the package. My nostrils were automatically assaulted with the spicy, earthy aroma of Headband. Each nug was colorful and vibrant, covered in trichomes and bright orange pistils, with visible flecks of purple. Absolutely gorgeous. The densely packed buds broke down nicely for blunt rolling. Provides a wonderfully balanced high when smoked in smaller quantities, and causes a severe case of couch lock when consumed in higher doses. Overall one of the better strains I’ve had the pleasure of smoking. An absolute must for any connoisseur.

As far as the high goes, it’s amazing. Headband is right because the pressure in your skull is so intense from this. I rated this strain 4/5 only because the high didn’t last long enough for me. I found that I had to consume way more than usual to get a lasting high. Doesn’t have a taste I particularly care for but it’s way lighter on your lungs than the smell might lead you to believe. Good strain not exceptional.

Great for headaches!

Hadn't smoked since the '70's, when I loved Thai sticks a friend used to bring back from Vietnam. Yeah, weed has definitely changed! Tried an indica-heavy joint (forget the name) and nodded off for two hours straight; not my cup of tea. I asked at the dispensary if there was one with: X, Y, Z psychoactive effects, but A,B,C medical effects, if possible. The budtender recommended this. Wow! It was just like old times, except WAY better. Yes, it does have a "headband" effect, which worried me some since I have chronic migraines. However, it's a mild sensation only. This baby stopped a migraine in its tracks. Moreover, my mind became clear as a bell, and I laughed constantly while watching "A Fish Called Wanda." About 90 minutes into it, I became more relaxed than "high" in a very comfortable and pleasant way. I did experience a shady memory loss, so don't try to do your taxes on this stuff. There were some munchies. Otherwise, it's highly-recommended.

Dispensary- RISE Bethesda Kind of overrated imho. The high is very strong and sedating. Very psychedelic stone. Extreme couchlock and slowing down of the perception of time. High kicks in extemely quickly, and creeps in getting stronger over the first 10 minutes of the high. Good strain if you "just wanna get f@$!+d up." I would not recommend this for new or novice smokers.
