MTF reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain MTF.
One of my go to favorite heavy Sativa strains. Usually around 25%, and stones me really good. Relaxed but not couch locked, like I'm really stoned but still want to do stuff. The buds themselves are kind of average to look at, but this shizz will f#@k you up. The taste and aroma have an earthy and slightly citrus or lemony finish.
I am not going to debate the origins of this strain or the pedigree of what I bought. The dispensary sold this to me as MTF, and that's what I will review.
This flower came in at 18% THC. The nugs are a pleasing lime green with streaks of orange and tiny patches of purple. Despite the coloration, the citrus forward fragrance is most reminiscent of lemon. The citrus dominant fragrance is pleasingly accented by mint & pine notes; finished by a subtle note of sage.
I smoked this in a joint. The taste up front is like unsweetened marmalade, not bitter but more like citrus zest. The roach is harsh, as most are. This would be a great strain to dry vape for those that appreciate the subtle flavor notes of their herb. It does, however, make for a flavorful smoke as well.
The high I experienced was reminiscent of the head pressure often described with headband. For me the high was much more euphoric than I've had with headband. It's as if the euphoria of MTF is forcing itself on you, squeezing your mind until it seeps in with a rush. This would be a strain I would recommend to someone looking to break out of depressive episodes. I would be careful with this strain if you worry about anxiety when you smoke. Some reviews have mentioned effectiveness with stress or PTSD; I won't speak to that since I'm not in complete agreement based on my own experience.
I believe that decarbing this strain would be an excellent alternative method of consumption, but have not tried that yet personally.
Would put this up there with classic sativas like sour d, green crack, and durban poison. A very clear headed and creative euphoric calm focused high. It also seems to last longer than average at around 3 hours with a clear finish that fades away without any noticeable fatigue. Exquisite blend of terpenes and delicious taste. If you are a sativa snob you will like this. Will most definitely be buying this any time i come across it in the future
One of my new fave strains.
I don’t smoke sativa much because I’m prone to getting anxious and paranoid. BUT this strain absolutely slaps with 0 anxiety/paranoia, even after taking a BIG amount.
Really good for activities/being social.
A positive in my view is that it doesn’t give you the big munchies like other strains. So you can enjoy a night out without feeling hungry all night lol.
I am a very lucky Medical Cannabis Patient that has after nearly 50 years of Cannabis Growing and Consuming and in that time I have made fabulous connections with tonnes of Medical Patient Growers who continually reach out to me when new strains are in the offering. This stain came out of a trade between a Matnauska Valley, Alaskan Grower and myself for Quebec Grown Gold Star Strains.
The Matanuska Thunder Fuck Sativa strain is a Mythical Strain that is supposed to be a hybrid between a Northern Cali Sativa and a Ruderalis Sativa that would have come from Iran or Kurdistan or Southern Russia where the Ruderalis strains hail from.
She can be a problematic to Medicate with as her smoke is a bit on the acrid side akin to really Skunky Skunk even when it originated in British Columbia in the early 80's. (Even though Leafly does not concur with this origin)
Any that can get beyond this slight side-point that most would find off-putting will be automatically rewarded with a wondrously long lasting up effects only usually available in long lasting pure Sativa Landrace strains.
This strain also has one of the most intriguing and complex flavour profiles of any sativa that I currently use

The thunder is all head off the rip. It got me up and at em' vacuuming, and cleaning the house. I even took my dog out skateboarding on the track at our local park. The high was pretty speedy, had me talking rather fast but I didn't get anxious. I read a few other reviews mentioning a bit of a body high but I just really didn't detect much of that, although I'm not using this strain for such reasons. I did get a slight rose/'flowery' scent and taste that was pleasant. It's really a great strain causes me to crash a bit on the comedown if I over do it though, similar to Sour D. 9/10
A great pleasure full to make à strain review for this formidable . Matanuska Thunder Fuck was one of the earliest strains that my Growfather got from his Vietnam War Vetrans Brothers in Arms who moved as far away from the Lower 48 States all the way up North to the Mythical Land of Freedom Alaska and we are situated in the very late 60's and the early 70's Yes Dorothy . In 1973 we made a pilgrimage of a sort from Prince George, BC the quickest way there along the Alaska Highway to our ultimate destination the Matanuska-Susitna Valley where those who wanted to be off the map, wow were we ever there. Over 2500 kms of bug bitten not the finest roads. And we sure ate dust ! But, we did take 2 mothers back with us and 20 clones all boxed up, and She survived the trip and lo all these years later the strain survives !! Shall we say Landrace Matanuska Alaskan Thunder Fuck is one strain that we are adding to my next grow. Another more complete review to follow!
