Pre-98 Bubba Kush reviews

The pre-1998 strain of Bubba Kush has always been on my personal top 5 list of favorite hybrids. Many of us that grew up in Southern California and during the 'Generation-Y' era feel a deep, personal connection to this strain as we smoked it in many of our early experiences with marijuana. These genetics first became widely available at some of the 1st medical dispensaries in LA during the 90's. Pre-98 Bubba Kush is well known as a cannabis containing several STRONG flavors. As I smoke this, filtered out of a heavy, beaker bottom JBD, the most prominent tastes and smells I associate with this bud are skunk and citrus smells followed by the strong distinct orange citrus flavor from the classic OG Kush that mothered this hybrid. Another obvious flavor your taste buds pick up quickly is a strong 'earthiness' that I like to explain as tasting exactly like wet soil, perfect for gardening. There are a couple fairly subtle notes that I always detect in Bubba which include coffee and pine. The beauty of the pre-98 Bubba Kush may ellipse both it's smell and taste. The plant has some of the most perfectly trimmed, shaped and crystallized buds known to man and has been known to yield large quantities. My favorite thing about pre-98 Bubba Kush is the amazing high it gives you!! Both body and heady, this high has been known to put me in any type of mood I want to be in at that time making it #3 on my favorite buds of all time list! If I have a lot of work to do that day, this bud has gotten me though these projects in record time. If I want to go fishing all day, this bud will give me the most fun fishing experience possible!!! Has a perfect opiate effect without all the bad side affects.......You can think perfectly ...but you are super-relaxed....and rushes all over your body lol

Pre-98 Bubba Kush is good, but ONLY Pre-98, regular BK is meh. Love the soft sweet smell with the gentle pungency. The buds are not really dense, but that seems to simply be genetics. I have tried it from several places and its all pretty much the same. A good go-to if you are helping someone new to smoking navigate strains.

This strain never goes out of style! Last time I had this bud was 2009 and its exactly how I remember it, sweet smell, smooth smoke, and perfectly balanced high. It provides enough of a head buzz that with small or moderate doses you are still fully functional, but it can also produce some heavy sedative effects in higher doses. Smoke a couple bowls of this and prepare to be taken back, great for meditation.

All-time favorite indica. Heavy couchlock. Great for pain and appetite.
