SFV OG reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain SFV OG.
San Fernando Valley OG is one I picked up from the dispensary by the gym. It smells very nice, like sweet berries with pine. It's a sativa dominant hybrid and I'm enjoying it on a day of PTO immensely! I can tell already I will definitely get more if they haven't already sold out of it. Wow!
San Fernando Valley OG is definitely in my top 5. It smells and tastes great, and is strong. Mine tested at 22.89% THC and zero CBDs. I got high pretty fast, and the high is far out! I'm feeling a definite sativa effect and am smiling ear to ear. I do feel a gentle tug inviting me to lay down as well, so this could be one of those fantastic hybrids where you lay in bed, have a cerebral trip as your body melts into the mattress and you slooowly take your time going to sleep because you don't want to let go of this magical THC journey in your mind's eye..
We'll see what happens as the day progresses, and what my cat nap is like!
Definitely pick this one up if you can.
May not look like the best, but looks are deceiving with this one!
A very laid back/ relaxing buzz, sativa side presents itself in a nice mental stimulation which in and of itself is pretty good for focusing on something while sitting, like exercise or study. A lot will bring on some heavy indica-style couch lock.
All that being said this strain didn't pop out to me too much, the wax and vape cartridges I've tried have been dull in effects, albeit very tasty, but nothing that had me going WOW. Good novice/intermediate strain, leaves something to be desired compared to its brother SFV OG Kush.
Lowdown:
-Mild euphoria
-Mild mental stimulation
-Strong appetite stimulant
-High doses can be good for unfocused relaxation
I'd personally recommend the OG Kush genotype of this strain, as it provides a stronger pain/stress relief and is more medicinal, not to say this smoke doesn't have plenty of positives. The 3 stars represents how well this strain stacks up compared to the others i have tried, it doesn't have many standout qualities.
Strain: San Fernando Valley OG (SFV Afghani / SFV OG cross -- Hybrid)
THC: 24.04%
CBD: 0.00%
Grower: KKG
Location found: Kaleafa
Date purchased: 4.3.16
Price: $10.00/g (with a gram of outdoor for a penny)
Weight: 1.2g
Method of Consumption: Herb Iron and small bong
Smell: It smells like OG Kush to me. The scissors cut through the nug and the smell grew in strength but not complexity. It was maybe an earthier type smell than some OG’s I have had but still similar.
Look: Light green, tight nugs with orange hairs. Slight trim needed and covered in kif.
Taste: The earthy flavor (to me) is what makes this strain stand out. OG Kush straight out of the ground. It is amazing that even if something is ground in a hydroponic set up can taste so much like a mouthful of damp earth.
Recommendation for medicine: It states it is a Hybrid. I do not understand Leafly’s ‘Strain Highlights’ about being harsh and only able to be vaporized. With so many variations in genetics and grow methods, this is too broad of a statement to me. I think it is more of a Kush type Indica stoney time than anything else. Fun, ACTIVE day in the sun or sleep-time medication when you do not necessarily want to be up at 5:30AM.
