This 18mm Female Quartz Domeless Nail is designed to fit all of our 18mm "concentrate" Rigs. It features a ribbed design between the cup and the joint which keeps it in place and allows heat to dissipate before reaching your glass piece or Rig. Quartz as a material is much more ideal than glass when used as a concentrate nail as it can withstand much more rapid heating and cooling and is comparable to ceramic in that regard. The main difference between the two is that quartz has more thermal conductivity, meaning that it will take less time to heat up but won't retain that heat for very long. Quartz also requires that you heat the nail evently in order to prevent cracks or fractures but is not as prone to do so as ceramic is.

This 5.5" Diffused Downstem can be used to replace downstems on two of our largest beakers: the 18" Double Tree Perc Beaker as well as the 18" Classic 9mm Beaker and can be paired with any 14mm bowl piece. The horizontal slits and tapered hole at the bottom of the downstem encourage greater diffusion of smoke bubbles. This helps break up the smoke so that more contact is made with the water creating an even smoother hit.

Ashcatchers are an affordable option to provide additional levels of water filtration/diffusion, and ultimately smoother hits, on any glass water pipe. As their name suggests, these upgrades also help to keep the main chamber of your glass bongs and bubblers clean over time by acting as the first line of defense against ash and debris. Between the three ashcatcher perc designs, this showerhead perc creates average diffusion and water contact and in turn is only moderately difficult to clean due to the minimal shape.
