Tacaya is a pioneer in Jamaica's cannabis industry. As advocates, we help found Westmoreland Hemp and Ganja Farmers Association (WHGFA) to ensure Jamaica's traditional farmers had a voice in the legal framework governing the legal industry. As socially responsible business entrepreneurs, we devised and implemented a strategy that resulted in a partnership between High Times Magazine and the Rastafari Community to stage the first legal cannabis event in Jamaica. As licensing consultants, we secured the first industry permit for the legal commerce of cannabis in Jamaica and consulted on 7 of the 28 licenses now approved in Jamaica. As cultivators, we have been issued a conditionally approved cultivation license by the Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA) to help us build on our success and leverage the best land, with the best growers, under the best sun to cultivate and export the best quality sustainable cannabis.
