Great friendly place. Everything from top shelf to "in between pay days". I'll be coming back.

Ratings and reviews of 420 Carpenter - Recreational
I absolutely LOVE this store!;The staff is amazing and their product and prices are hands down the best! This is my main shop, no need to waste time going anywhere else!
This was the first shop I took my mom too. She was nervous and kind of unsure, but luckily the employee we talked to was incredibly nice, explained everything well, and even "cheered her on". Additionally, we never felt pressured or ignored. I am very, very grateful to her for making my mother feel more comfortable and at ease without being judged. The shop is a good size, not huge but enough space for lots of merchandise and standing room. The shop definitely has a more "edgy" feel to it, which I don't mind, but wasn't my mother's speed, so be aware if that's an issue. My mom didn't want to deal with actual flower, so we only focused on vape pens and edibles. Their selection is good, but they don't have refrigerated stuff. They have a few different vape pen brands, which was nice. Their prices were also better than what I've seen elsewhere, which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, 420 Carpenter is a great shop with awesome employees and good prices. I might not have chosen to take a nervous first timer there because of the atmosphere, but it was overall a really great experience.
This was the first recreational store open in Thurston County; since then, not much has changed for 420C, it seems like they cater to the "bro" crowd and that the main point of differentiation is that they have hot staff. true. the girls there are beautiful. the culture at 420C isn't one of education, they don't typically know much about the lineage or the specific effects of their strains. a typical response seems to be that "it got me SUPER HIGH", which is underwhelming.
Really enjoy this shop. Huge selection great products, prompt service every time I've walked in.
Bought a 1g jay. Weighed in at. .08g including paper. Before that, bought some 2g nugs. When I got home, the seal on the bottom of the bag was open and the date was more than 9 months old essentially rendering it thca heavy and sleep inducing regardless of the fine green crack it proclaimed to be, d/t oxygen exposure. Twice weekly customer who will now make the drive elsewhere. Totally worth not getting taken advantage of by "local" shops. Love the doorman and the ladies.
Big, rude, and impersonal. The bud tender had never even tried the product. How can you sell a product without trying it. The place was too big walking around the store was exhausting.
420 Carpenter is a fairly large space with a huge selection of marijuana products and glass paraphernalia. Most glass I've seen in an i502 store so far. -- I was greeted at the door by the most welcoming, intimidating ID checker I've encountered so far (seriously nice with a great smile, could probably stomp me without trying) -- There are several budtenders, and including a manager I did not see any other male employees other than the guy at the door. All of the employees had a personality and you could tell they wanted to be there and were having a great time with each other and every customer -- Budtenders knew their product well. With the info I gave, they nailed recommendations. -- I will return and recommend for sure.
great place to have any questions about any strain you might have
Terrible staff. Not knowledgeable about highs, types, strains etc. Way to big of a location. Footballl fields in between the different types of products. Interior product. They advertise savings but prices are no better than other places.
By far my favorite shop! I'm about 2 hours away but it's worth the trip. Always an amazing crew working who are helpful and knowledgeable! Thanks guys!
As an experienced cannabis user, as well as provider to a medical patient, there are few things I dislike more than being told I am purchasing one strain, only to realize it is something totally different. On my first (and only) excursion to this shop, I bought three different strains of bud, all of which turned out to be mid grade, mystery flowers. I asked for strains (Headband, ATF, etc) that are incredibly unique and identifiable, especially if you've had some experience with them. The buds I received were absolutely not the strains they were being sold as. Unfortunately they don't have any "smell me" jars like lots of other places, so that you can inspect what you're actually getting, otherwise I would have saved my money. On top of that bummer, they were poorly trimmed and resembled the mystery bag you used to get from your cousin's friend's friend when there was nothing else to be had. At these prices? No thanks. I appreciate the kindness of the employees but can't afford to spend that kind of cash on subpar product.
My review is based on my first visit on July 19th. They have three registers open and have a small assortment of Pipes, Bongs etc. They had two strains. Sour Kush & J's Famous Kush, in 2 or 4 Gram pre packaged bags. Or pre rolled joints. I chose J's Famous Kush since it's a Sativa dominant strain. That said, it's going to cost you way more to go legal. Understandably so since the sale of recreational weed only started July 1st and 420 Carpenter opened July 8th. So now that I've bought it and tried it I'll share that briefly. Since it's Sativa I waited until late in the day. I smoked a bowl in my little bong. Not only did it taste great, it's not a cougher! I'm not joking when I say J's Famous Kush is some of the better I've had. It was like I ate a brownie, no lie. Minimal cotton mouth, no headache, slight munchies and slept like a log. I also wasn't losing my train of thought which was nice. Anyway, J's Famous Kush was worth it to me. Hope this helped! Thank You 420 Carpenter!
Service was outstanding, budtenders and doorman all extremely welcoming and helpful. Loads and loads of product, almost too much. The only issue I have with 420 Carpenter has been the head shop vibe that their interior puts off, I feel like it would be an overwhelming experience for a first timer. Also, I would really like to see a menu put on here.
At 35 I felt too old for this place. The colorful price tags were hard to read and there was so much product crammed into the case that it was hard for me to focus on what I wanted. There prices seemed a bit lower than others in the area but I felt the quality was a little lower as well. This place is close to work so im sure I will give it another shot in the future. Please add your menu to leafly...everyone is doing it.
Remodeled interior is quite inviting. Prices still a little high. Where is an online menu? I like to be completely prepared before I go to a rec. shop
Over priced dry nasty buds... Emailed the owner and was astonished with his lack of knowledge in cannabis. Complete and total sell outs, profits are there only goal. Don't waste your money here.
I like the store and prices. I was a little disgruntled that $5 was taken from my change without my permission. I bought two grams for $20 and paid with a $50 and they gave me $25 back. Normally I wouldnt mind if I was asked but they didn't ask at all. I will definitely have change when I go there next.
Budtender sold me two bottles of tincture that were basically snake oil. They should warn customers that the stuff doesn't work so $40 doesn't get tossed down the drain.
I live in Lacey so I have been here quite a few times. Compared to the other Recreational retailers in Lacey, they are over priced. The curing process or trimming of their flowers could be better. I understand the products are prepackaged but I don't like to smoke leaves. Nor, dump out stringy, small balls that's called buds. The budtenders could be more knowledgable. If you don't know difference between BHO and Bubble Hash then that shouldn't be your day job. If I am. to make another purchase here, it will be for their glass.
Lots of knowledge. Fair prices.
This place was so nice. Took the time to show us some tips and offered great deals.
Better selection and lower prices than 420 west & green lady. My favorite red store in the area.
Nice shop. Very friendly employees. The menu could use a little more organization. But they struck a decent balance of variety and price. The displays seemed a little spread far and disjointed to me. But a minor thing.
