Cannabis Nation - Sunriver

⭐ Zero stars if I could. I have given this dispensary far more chances than it deserves, and after today I am completely done. In a state like Oregon where cannabis options are everywhere, it is shocking that this level of service and product quality still exists—especially when this is the only dispensary within roughly 20 miles of the area. I have been a frequent, loyal customer and have spent a significant amount of money here, coming in multiple times a week out of convenience. That loyalty has not been matched with even basic customer respect. Today was the final straw. The payment system issues are constant. I placed a pickup order, came in ready to pay, and once again multiple cards would not work. The ATM was also down. This is not an isolated incident; it has happened repeatedly over many visits. Instead of any real attempt to help or resolve the issue, I was told to go elsewhere to get cash. At this point, it feels less like random technical issues and more like a consistent failure to support paying customers. The customer service experience has been the biggest problem. Management behavior has been consistently dismissive and unhelpful, and on multiple occasions I have felt ignored or brushed off while trying to complete a simple transaction. During today’s visit, while I was actively trying to resolve payment issues, I was left waiting without assistance while attention was given elsewhere. That lack of basic customer support is extremely frustrating. This is not just my experience either. My mom, who is in her 60s, came in looking for CBD products and left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable due to the same attitude. I have also heard from a former employee that this environment is not new or isolated, which unfortunately aligns with what I have experienced firsthand. There are still individual employees who try their best—one older gentleman in particular has always been kind and helpful—but the overall environment does not support good service. On top of that, the product selection is underwhelming compared to other dispensaries. The flower does not stand out, and the cartridges often feel low quality compared to what is available elsewhere in Oregon. The pricing and promotions do not make up for the lack of consistency or quality. A business cannot survive long term just by being the closest option. Customers remember how they are treated. I have spent too much money here to consistently feel disregarded and undervalued. At this point, I would rather drive farther and go elsewhere than continue dealing with repeated issues and poor service. This location has lost a loyal customer entirely due to the overall experience.

I live near the SR area. But despite that, have tried offerings from most of the many dispensaries to be found in Bend; at this point Cannabis Nation in Sunriver tends to beat almost all of them price-wise on most things. It’s not only convenient for me, but in 2023 their pricing blows many Bend dispensaries out of the water. Plus regular rotating sales and a points program! I was a customer from the very beginning of the being built, and it has gotten better and better over the years, in every way. The quality of their products is great, it’s not an enormous store but tends to be quite a well-curated selection of products in each category. I almost always use cartridges, prefer live or cured resin based cartridges or the occasional edible. I sometimes wish I still smoked bud itself just to have more access to selection, but the fact is I love this place. Sales are frequent and generous, and the base non-sale pricing on most items is more then fair to be begin with. Some things more noticeably pricy than others, but usually because it’s a particular brand or something like brand-specific (Pax) pod and not their fault. Their in house Cannabis Nation branded live resin carts are quite good ones, but some of the more expensive. They have a good number of in-house flower options as well, but plenty of products from the most well-loved regional & “artisinil ” brands too. Their prices match or beat pretty much anywhere in Bend, they blow Oregrown out of the water on that one - so much more affordable. The environment is cozy and welcoming, staff are great, and there’s even a rewards program you can enroll in by becoming a (free) member! The points accumulation is not bad at all either. I recommend the Sunriver Cannabis Nation highly. It’s just too bad they no longer use Leafly or the other biggest Med/Red apps to post their menu or allow orders to be placed. You still can on a certain website, but I’m afraid if I name it here it could be a no-no. If you,re curious do a web search. Seriously my favorite and local place.

This is my local dispensary, so I drop by often and stalk the menu. I almost always have a good experience with the helpful and enthusiastic staff. I usually just buy cartridges and the selection isn't ALWAYS as good on carts as on other categories, but as a whole they offer a good and diverse selection. If you register an account and show proof of being a local or veteran, you get a 10% discount which I appreciate. One small nitpick I have is I wish there would be more consistent strain information given for cartridges. From time to time there will be a strain name given for a cart which turns up zero strain results in Leafly when searched, or there is a lack of a specific description. Another specific example is they sell a CN branded live resin cartridge they just call "CBN blended" aka "cannabis nation" blend, and it just says that it is a "blend of compatible strains". I just find it odd that it is produced by their company but it doesn't list what strains it is comprised of, and when I hear "compatible strains" I think that could mean either strains that balance each other out or strains with the same effect profiles. I think it is important for a lot of people to know what they're getting into due to sensitivity to certain effects. That is my only real complaint, more attention to descriptions of products like that so that I can do my due diligence for myself...and for the most part it isn't a problem. Overall, I feel blessed to have a great little dispensary so close to me and recommend.
