Farma on Hawthorne

These guys know about their buds! This was a very medical and professional feeling dispensary. The staff were helpful and pointed me in the right direction to great CBD buds from East Fork Cultivators.

For some reason I don't mind paying such high prices here. I guess it's because I feel good supporting a shop that transcends the feel of a drug deal. I am not a "patient" (even though I have had my card) and I don't use for "medical" purposes. I'm just a stoner who loves to get baked. End of story. If every shop followed Farma's lead, the stigma of weed would fall away and bring us all closer to true freedom. I am not an advocate for weed culture but I am a proponent for choice and the pursuit of happiness. Thank you Farma for being about the science as much as the money. HAIL THE LEAF.

Clean, stylish and sterile as a pharmacy--hence the name--Farma is a very friendly and pretty place filled with experienced and professional budtenders. One of my favorite things about it is that they consistently stock ACDC in the preferred 20 to 1 ratio; there's a lot of ACDC in PDX but a lot of it is a janky ratio that's useless to me for my anxiety and depression. You'll see things like 16 to 4 or whatnot, and I'm sorry, but that's not ACDC, that's a panic attack waiting to happen. You get a ton of information about the bud you're purchasing there right on the side of your little canisters, which I also love. Lot numbers, batch numbers, growers, and most importantly how much THC and CBD you're getting. The budtenders are all about making sure that you know what you're purchasing, how it might best help you and what kinds of issues it addresses. From a medical perspective and for a person using the plant for health reasons, they're terrific. They also sell pipes and vapes and some edibles that will help you get nice, but all I really care about is their ACDC, which for me is a lifesaver. Keep it up, Farma! I'm a fan!

As soon as I stepped in the door I could tell this dispensary is something special. The interior is modern and absolutely beautiful and the showcases for the flowers and such is top notch. Not to mention the flower is mostly house grown and all TOP shelf. I forget his name but the Budtender helping me was extremely knowledgeable on the different strains. He knew the history and origins of the strains as well as what would help my specific condition. Could not be more impressed and I've found my new favorite dispensary. Look, here's the thing: You run a business that, for no fault of your own, is strictly cash only. Unless you are prohibited by regulation from doing so, there is NO REASON why you should not build tax into your prices. This is true in every state, but especially true in Oregon, where consumers are not typically subject to tax added at the register. I would much rather buy a $12 gram than pay $11.80 for a $10 gram. This seems like a really basic failing of customer service.

they do not keep leafly menu up to date. Drove a long way for a specific strain only to be told they did not have it available, then was told later on the phone that it was being put into pre-rolls. If i had been told that when I was there I might have bought one . instead my time was wasted. Employees couldn't have cared less.

I love this location but I made a huge mistake today. Myself and my mother are medical patients and today I was super busy and could not leave the house to get myself and my mother some medicine so I checked the menu and told her what to purchase but when she came home the phenotype was different than I expected. I have purchased this strain here before but this time it looked different for some reason. I am totally bummed I smoked some and I'm completely not happy. I called to see If I could exchange but was asked if I had opened it and yes I had due to I was recycling a container. So double lesson learned do not send someone to get your medicine and do not open if you are not sure of the purchase. I have exchanged meds before due to the package was sealed but this time I was reusing a container so my bad. I'm not writing this not to complain but to warn others of my careless mistake. Do your own purchasing even if you are a beginner inspect the medicine you have bought before to make sure it is what you want. I will definitely be shopping here due to the fact that I love there meds but every purchase will be myself in person from now on.

Simply the best! I've been in a few dispensaries around portland and keep going back to Farma..even though they aren't the closest to me.. why? Without hesitation I would say this the best place in portland to buy anything thc or cbd related. Unlike some other places, Farma is clean, organized and professional with an awesome staff. I've been there so many times now I know them all! In fact, maybe I should go there right now!!

Wow and wow again. I really like just about everything about this place. The display cases, the chairs, and the decor are on point, fam. Organization is visually satisfying. Nice job. I'm really impressed with how clean and organized the shop is, but I am most impressed with your budtenders. I was helped by a young woman that really knew her stuff! I was blown away by her explanations of terpenes and how THC% isn't always the best indication as to what's right for the individual. There was also an older gentleman at the check-in counter that was also very helpful. Great people. Atmosphere overall was great. My friend and I really enjoyed our experience. The only negative thing I can think of is that your prices are a little bit high. I've seen higher at other shops, though, so it is what it is. Thanks again! Cheers!

I will start with the caveat that this is only my second time visiting a dispensary. That said, Farma is probably just about everything I could hope for in a dispensary. The place feels like a mix of a day spa and an apple store. The budtenders are super chill and incredibly knowledgeable about their product. The selection is amazing; a wide variety of different strains, including multiple high cbd flowers. The fact that they have the flowers in bulk and let you look at and smell them while deciding really adds to the experience. Combine that with incredibly reasonable prices, especially for the level of service, and you can bet I'll be back again, and telling my friends about it. I came in because I'd heard you can describe the effects you're looking for and the employees will guide you to selections that give the desired results. I was able to get help picking out a high CBD strain for pain relief, as well as picking up a few strains for my novice partner (who worships Carl Sagan) to try and see if it helps his focus. I am impressed for sure.

Farma has an amazing variety of flowers, edibles, clones, pre-rolls too.. Seriously-the Animal Cookies-around 26-29 percent THC- delicious, slow burning, compact, dense, colorful buds that get me so seriously stoned, one of my repeat buys..along with their GSC at 28 pTHC, and Gorilla Glue #4 at 26.9 are some of my fav's, and are only a few strains among so many that range from heavy THC/no CBD all the way through many hybrids to the HEAVY-CBD/NO-THC for the body ease no head effect... I think Farma has what you need, and so much more...

Six months ago, I enrolled in the OMMP program to see if cannabis could help with my intractable neuropathic pain. As a newbie, I did my research and sought out the best dispensary I could find, which was Farma on Hawthorne. The staff were very helpful and provided excellent advice regarding effective strains to treat my condition. After a little trial and error, I zeroed in on strains that help the most and now have a regimen that works and has allowed me to reduce the dosages of two side-effect laden anti-seizure pain meds. I was able to completely eliminate another atypical pain med and an anti-anxiety med as well. I couldn't have done it without the good folks at Farma and their assortment of high-CBD flower, concentrates and edibles. If you appreciate a scientific approach to cannabis as medicine, Farma is the place to go. They always keep a spot at the head of the line for OMMP patients, so no worries about the "THC crowd" elbowing out the "CBD crowd."

Very helpful budtenders. Nice display case for the flower products. Really large selection of edibles. It's a more upscale shop, but the prices are reasonable and the service is friendly.

I loved it, it's just too far away from my home to visit often. The bud tender was so helpful and I am so very pleased with my purchase. I do plan on stopping in whenever I'm in Portland for any reason though. It's well worth the Detour. The only down side was the man at the front window didn't notice my Son and I waiting there for a couple minutes. It did give my Son time to tell me all about the place before I entered though, that was good.

I was immediately impressed with a friendly greeting. I was further impressed that their selection included the two strains I was looking for. I also liked that the receptionist asked me what I went by, which is cool. The atmosphere is clean, well lit but not sterile feeling.

Great spot. On my visit I only waited while my info was added so I can't comment on the lobby other than service was friendly upon entry. Came in with a strain in mind and was able to see and smell it right away. I was also shown comparable stains as well as some of the budtender's current favorites. I purchased 7 grams of Sunset Sherbert, the strain I went to see about. The quality of all the bud I was shown was excellent but the there was something about the Sherbert. The quality of the bud and the service will bring me back to Farma.

Even though it's not the closest dispensary to me, I keep coming back. The store is clean, well-laid out, and calming. Every bud tender has been knowledge and courteous. Can't beat the quality, I've sampled various flower, prerolls, and edibles and am always pleased with the results. In the edibles arena for rec buyers, I love the Leif Medicinal bars! The mint seems to fly off the shelf (for good reason).

Farma is hands down one of the best - if not THE best - dispensary in Portland to get high-quality cannabis and great service. Staff is the most knowledgeable in the city, extremely friendly, and most important, the bud is perfection. They carry some of the best growers and strains around. I've never been disappointed. And the staff makes the experience all the better.

I work at another dispensary so my standards are extremely high for service, quality, etc. Farma was great! The prices are all around 10-15/gram which seems a bit high but all the flower is organic and top shelf. Totally worth it over shwaggy $6/grams. They do full terpene profiles for (some of) their flower and don't classify it as sativa vs. indica and instead by the effect of each strain individually. The budtendress was great. One of the budtenders gave us the full deets on all the vaporizers that they carry. Super knowledgeable and friendly. I will most definitely be returning and recommending my friends on the east side to Farma.

I wanted to like this place as it carries two growers I really like, Resin Ranchers and Gnome Grown Organics. It's clean, neat and the budtenders are friendly and knowledgeable. The rub is there is no 1/4 discount for buying two 1/8s with already high prices it was a huge sticker shock of nearly $20 more than what I normally pay for the same exact product from the same grower, at other dispensaries. This is blatantly taking advantage of the location. Which is a shame, they offer great products, they are just price gouging. =/

Not only is it conveniently located off major bus routes, Farma is a really cool dispensary not only because its got a sweet & sleek design, but because they have their own unique system of rating flower depending on the level of sativa/indica, and they've always had an extensive selection--but even more importantly, they keep their bud in beautiful glass jars. I've never, ever been disappointed. Their staff is really knowledgeable and relaxed, so if you're a first-timer or have very little knowledge (or none at all) about all strains, they'll give you a great crash course and help you find the best strain. ps--they have bomb pre-rolls.

No broscience weed misinformation. They take a unique and refreshing perspective on categorizing and describing the strains. I can't say whether this is objective and truthfully scientific, but it's a whole lot better than what most stores offer. I really believe they are aspiring to get to the truth of which strain does what, and why. My new favorite place.

I've been here about 6 times now and will continue to come back. This one of the friendlier dispensaries in town. The staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. Their prices are a little higher than other spots but the quality is definitely on par with the prices and variety. Good place to come if you are a first timer because they won't rush you out the door like some other places. Thanks Farma! See you soon!!
