Garden Remedies-Newton: Med & Rec

Usually pretty quick to go get whatever i bought, but actually getting an order in is a total pain. Leafly menu is always off whenever I try to order, and it’s usually multiple tries before someone answers the phone. How bout you just -Keep The Menu Up All The Time- and not hafta worry about dumb holdups like this for your customers? As of this writing, Coronavirus is happening, and they’re just shutting the menu on n off, instead of just holding people at the door???? what the heck?

I spoke with the nicest woman this morning when calling around for an open dispensary during the virus. She was keeping it together even though she was the only one fielding a ton of calls. There was a glitch with the Leafly ordering system that required multiple refreshes of the page. Otherwise a great experience

This is the best medical place around Newton. If youre anxious this is the place you should go. The staff knows their stuff. As long as you understand the guidelines that they dont really control, its the easiest, nicest, most anxious friendly place in Newton.

Nice job in Newton. I know it's tough to have to deal with customers who may be a little on the miserable side (myself included), but my visit today was pleasant, smiles all around (when no masks) and quick. Thanks for doing a great job under trying circumstances. I'm a regular customer in Newton and I appreciate it!

In the middle of this virus, i wasn’t sure if it would be open. I called the number and left a voicemail. I received a call the very next morning from the NICEST lady, and she walked me through how to order online and pick up. It was easy, fast, and super helpful.

This place is great! I'm always in and out within 5 minutes and there is lots of street parking. The atmosphere is very chill and there aren't armed guards or police standing around like there are at NETA so it makes for a smoother, less anxious shopping experience. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of their products; they are quick to suggest alternatives if what you want isn't in stock. Also this place doesn't have product limits and has a large selection so you're able to buy what you want without hassle. Will definitely be making this my go-to dispensary from now on!

I like Garden Remedies man... Everyone there is cool, you usually in and out since its appointment only or Leafly pickup(recommended method), take some Tootsie rolls and mint on way out and you good baby! Now that I said all that, I'm not liking the increase for certain flower, even if its only $5. So I'm back to black market, but when I want something new I go to GR and grab couple pre rolls. Btw that Scotts OG .3g hitta is 🔥💯😎

Sad store, I’ve supported this shop from the start. Now I will never return to this store. I get this state isn’t making it easy. But to turn people away for being 5 minutes late, when if you are early no problem. I show up with cash an appointment and a few minutes late only to be turned away by an employee who couldn’t really give a straight answer. Just a bad business. Always out of flower and the product is so weak. I’d boycott this place in a red second. They take themselves way to serious. Sad could be a great Shop, it’s got a good location convenient and easy access. But save yourself the trip it’s not worth it! You will walk away very underwhelmed.

Darren is awesome, even though I am a seasoned worker in the Cannabis field on medical leave he was super friendly, knowledgeable and made me really feel like a patient and never disregarded me. A totally different experience than I get in other places. He is passionate and cares. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how easy the process is, even with them being recreational. You still need an appointment there's no crazy traffic that people imagined up. Paulay (sorry if mispelled girl) is energetic as always and everyone behind the counter was so kind, even security. Bought an Oz, got 0.9oz. Despite all the fancy packaging and process, feel like I got scammed. Plus, way too much packaging. Way too much waste. This should all be delivered in sustainable, biodegradable packaging. Threw away a lot of plastic. Product was as expected. Excellent quality and trimmed as should be delivered from a regulated, professional establishment. Just less 9f it than advertised. M

Garden Remedies in Newton beats it's only other recreational competitor in the Boston area with no lines and no self-imposed purchase limits. The flower is never dry or too wet and is always great. The pricing on loose flower is better than the competition and their prerolls cost the same but are 1g instead of .75g, as far as I can tell. I'm taking a star away from quality because their inventory is often limited, and things that they say are in stock online are gone 10 minutes later when I get to the register. One time I went and there was no flower available. They also grind their weed into power for the prerolls and about half have burnt unevenly or been very hard to draw from. It would be great to see more and different products available. I know it's a new industry and the state only serves to complicate things, but I've been to CA and have seen what is possible.

I was there on 6/4/19. I used the Leafly app to place order. That seemed fine. When I arrived I expected that there would be no line to wait in as you advertise "avoid the lines." I asked why you have to wait in a line (3 ppl ahead of me in medical line). A man then said sarcastically that you "have to pay for it" and rolled his eyes at another employee. I use NETA express all the time, NEVER a line for Medical. I mean NEVER. They can have 75 ppl for recreational but always put MEDICAL FIRST. There were to windows open for legal with no one in them and my pre order with Leafly sitting on counter. Anyway I waited my turn. Finally go to line and then there was some issue with their ATM transactions. The person helping me had to call for 3 different managers to assist. No one could figure it out. My card was swiped 2x and then I had to GET BACK IN THE MEDICAL LINE and wait from someone to finish ahead of me so they could use that register. At this point I had been there 1/2 hour when I thought I'd be there less than 5 minutes. Also b/c they tried my ATM Card 3x before the transaction finally went through I was charged 3 ATM FEES. Total of $12 of UNECESSARY charges. It was ridiculous. It took a total of about 35 minutes there to get ripped off. I could not believe it. I understand they are going through some growing pains but he customer service for medical is poor at best. I will not go back. I suggest seeing how NETA does it b/c it runs like an apple store.

Garden Remedies is hands down my favorite dispensary I've been to. It is very clean and small, but well organized for people to get in and out, and there's never a huge line. The only tough part about going is it's kind of annoying to find parking, but once you do your trip will be well worth it. Great bud, great budtenders. And you're gaurenteed to have a great experience. 😌💨🌬️💨
