Kaleafa Cannabis Co - Portland

DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD at this location, I was told I would be charged a $2 fee to use my credit card which was No Problem. When I checked my statement I was charged a $20. cash equivalent fee!!! I brought my receipt & statement in, and kindly explained the issue -- I was rudely told "It's not our fault! .. it's not our, fault we use Bitcoin! it's a cash advance fee." I responded, "You should inform your customers of the fee, I was informed of the $2 fee which is no issue.. but not of a $20 fee." I was told I would have to contact my bank, and quickly dismissed to help another customer. No apology, no effort to keep me as a customer. Completely bitchy. WORST customer service I've ever received.. they should AT LEAST inform their customers of the fee, and BE KIND!

This location was clean, professional and we'll stocked. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted and immediately offered help. When I asked for some time to browse, I was left alone until I looked up from their selection. No one was pushy, and when I asked for suggestions based on my nerds, I was respected and no one pushed the expensive or sale product, just what works for for me. Also, the prices are post tax, so you pay no more than list price. They also have a punch card where you earn $10 off after spending $100/10 punches (I have 3 punches for buying a $30 1/8th). They have their stuff together! Look forward to coming back.

The receptionist and front lobby were very pleasant. They even have quality Keurig coffee and chocolate! Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience came to a screeching halt.... The 3 bud tenders behind the counter were busy helping others so I excitedly waited my turn so I could look at a few different flowers and ask some questions about different strains I saw on the website. Not what happened... My first question was, "I don't see any Scooby Snacks, do you have some left?" I got a short but not so sweet "out". Huh? Okay... I said to myself. "Bummer, can you suggest something similar then? I was really wanting that". "There's nothing like Scooby Snacks, Scooby Snacks are Scooby Snacks". Well, that was less than helpful. Luckily I knew I wanted Dogwalker OG so I started to ask for an 1/8th of that but a man that came in a few minutes after me asked a question louder so he answered him. When he was done with the other patron he came back to me and asked, "are you ready now"? What?!? It didn't end there. The short answers and a you're bothering me attitude continued the whole time. I even talked to another employee while he weighed out the flower I chose with NO help, I was saddened when he replied with exactly the same snide/condescending demeanor. I got home and shared my experience with my husband. He was very surprised because him and his friends have spent quite a bit of time and money at Kaleafa. He weighed both strains out and both came to almost exactly 3.4 grams although the labels say 3.5 grams. Shorted twice! The whole trip was upsetting from start to finish but at least I get to smoke some amazing flower in the end. I win!!

I love this location i just turned 21 so it was my first time in a weed shop nd my experience was very amazing today I went in it was very clean nd neat nd the staff were very helpful nd friendly They also have very good bud nd great deals. I highly recommend this shop :) I will be a regular here from here on out

This place is #Litt... Was on my way to what I thought was the only decent dispensary in My area just before 10pm and made a wrong turn which happened to be a RIGHT turn... Straight Up Dankness and Friendly staff (Shout Out 2 Jason for all the hookups) in a quiet and discreet spot that is almost so low key You might pass it by if You didn't give a s*** about a green cross 😂 ... I'm literally on My way there right now to go grab another couple grams of their Durban Poison and this extra fire Black Widow they've got. In one word "ENJOY".

This used to be my hands down place to go for concentrates (probably spent $10k here over the last 3 years) but recently prices have gone way up and the selection of affordable dabs has gone way down. These guys are no longer the best source for affordable dabs, although I keep an eye on their menu in hopes they will return to their previous inventory strategy.

This is my favorite dispensary in SE Portland. I came into town not too long ago and the staff have always been nothing but friendly and helpful from the moment I walk in the front door to the moment I shut it on the way out. On top of the great service, the building is a little old house cleverly converted, and it really does have a homey feel to it. The cannabis is incredible... My first visit I purchased two prerolls, and both had such sticky bud in them I couldn't even smoke either joint all the way down because of the oil(not resin) sapping up in the tip (heart eyes emoji would go well here). And with quality eighths like Jack Herer starting at $24 out-the-door, I'll definitely be making this my regular spot, rain or shine <3

I much prefer Kaleafa’s homey feel to the more sterile outlets’, though all the bud tenders I’ve met in Portland have been very nice. But Kaleafa’s people are especially friendly**, and though the atmosphere is buzzing and the place is jumping especially on penny-gram days, they do an impressive job of handling the flow efficiently and surprisingly quickly, without making you feel rushed. **Just one suggestion, they might want to not overuse phrases like “we’re glad to have YOU as a customer! First, they don’t know you from Adam and second, stuff like that is really only effective when uttered while black - at which time it works VERY well - Hey don’t blame me I dint write the rules :D But I have to say, I went in on my birthday kinda bored, and came out feeling like royalty. It was awesome. So how bout that one review, that litany of complaints? Lil dude almost sounds like he knows what he’s talking about till you start wondering, if he’s such a weed expert, how’s he still so uptight? LOL. And it doesn’t take a whole lotta smarts to know that of COURSE the promos - full grams for a penny! - are going to be from batches that are a bit drier, that for quality purposes will soon be pulled from the shelves. I personally appreciate the promos a LOT - you get to try strains that you might not otherwise, and I’ve found some good ones!

This will be my second review of Kaleafa... I gave them a second chance (and since then, a third, a fourth, a fifth and so on...) I LOVE KALEAFA. That being said, I do have suggestions!!! #1 Get a 'number' when you come in. I can't tell you how many times I have been cut in line by an unintentional line cutter. Your dispensary is DAMN busy, so therefore, your bud tenders are not able to keep track of this issue. DMV has them. Be like them. #2 More up front information for patients from ' the front'. I've been visiting for months now, and my last visit ( just the other day) was the first time that anyone acknowledged me as a patient and explained to me the benefits of being a patient shopping with Kaleafa. This fact was only acknowledged at check out... The front desk doesn't have that hard of a job, they can give more info to the people coming in, so your bud tenders can focus on selling your products. Before you ask... YES. I hand them my license and MEDICAL card every time I come in. I will be continuing on as a loyal customer at Kaleafa, regardless of whether they take my suggestions to heart. They have the hours needed, a surplus of options, excellent employees... the place is great.

I've had a mixed bag of experiences here. I've walked away with several nice strains and good customer service experiences. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was really weak sauce in my opinion. Roughly 8-10 people in line with 1 yes 1 bud tender. It was about 20-25 before I walked out. The budtender was clearly overwhelmed but trying to keep it professional. There were at least four other bud tenders there making small talk with each other in the back room with no guests. He was speaking outwardly to the guests about the fact he wasn't getting help and it seemed weird. Super weird vibes. Not to mention the customer frustration as all these people who visibly worked let their fellow co worker flounder with a relentlessly long line. I work in retail and they broke so many 101 rules. I realize they are just getting started however they need more professional management as any owner would have cringed at what was going on in there. It didn't seem like anyone cared either. I definitely will try again. I've had the best experiences there earlier on. This was closer to 9. It felt like extracurricular partying was going on and folks weren't even concerned about the business And last but not least I picked a strain based on the last experience I had with it and the quality this time was really poor. It seems like it had been around for a minute. Shame on me for just ordering and not peeping my first. I'll be back but man I hope it goes better.

Kaleafa is the best. They have the best regular AND daily deals. By FAR the best Customer Service. Foster Buds sucks. Shango super sucks. Do you want to be treated fairly, spoken to honestly and politely, and leave w/o any buyers remorse? Get your goods from Kaleafa. I'm not kidding, they are the Best weed shop in SE portland

This place was recommended to me by several people. The thing is, this place is no where near "on the way" anywhere for me but its worth the trek. It's easy to find and there is street parking and a parking lot. Just be courteous to the neighbors. I don't think I have ever been here when its not busy. I like that the lobby is stocked with a variety of coffees, teas, and Red Vines. I come here for Red Vines too. This is split into medical and recreational but the flower would be on the rec side. Sometimes its so busy in that side of the house that being in the medical side is a relief from the bustling madness. The bud tenders are knowledgable and friendly. The prices are great for the quality. It keeps me coming back.

Tonight, I went in about 25 minutes from close, and came in quick as usual. I made my way towards the patient section, a lady saw me walk over and met me at the counter. I started asking questions about products, and when I asked about concentrates they had in stock but had no sample out, if they could open one and was immediately told no. That's okay, but since I myself work in a dispensary, I know that you could open one and leave it out for customers to see. I asked if a supervisor could maybe come over and open one because I intended to purchase several. She was EXTREMELY rude, when telling me she was in fact the supervisor on shift and that it wouldn't happen because she didn't want to open the product. Fairly surprised I dropped it and went on to look at other product. As my transaction went on, she was clearly in a rush, but took her time having a kind conversation with a friend while ignoring me. If you want a good experience, probably don't come here. But because of this visit they have completely lost my business.

This place is Awesome. They have great buds and the best prices in town. Monday and Tuesday they basic give you free weed. My go to place for sure! omw over now!

Great service paired w knowledge of products = a great first time experience. I will definitely be coming back here many times. The OG COOKIE DAWG was incredible.

Oh, my sweet Kaleafa. You have become like a second home to me over the last couple. I am forever indebted to Tyler, who is by far, the greatest Bud Tender in Portland. He just has this way of picking out the exact strain you need at that very moment, and every single time produces quality buds that are beautiful and seed/stem free, and takes the time to chat in between. All the other folks are super nice and welcoming too. They always have a great selection of Indicas, a few less Sativas...but always seem to have my favorites in. Good prices for the quality too! And no better deal than Monday and Tuesday $1 gram day!! Don't forget to tip your Bud Tender ❤️

I wanted to let all know my last post has been resolved. I'd like to say a huge shout out to my friend manager/owner Geoff at kaleafa awesome managerial skills and experience spoke with him directly about my last review and what happened to my wife. Totally made everything better. I have so much respect for him and his ability to make everything work out. My advice for any inconvenience u might have is that don't let one person ruin your opinion of the whole. kaleafa is one of the best in customer service, product, and prices in and around Portland, I've been to 50+ and I only go to kaleafa now. Thanks to my pals at kaleafa

This shop is ridiculous and need to read up on CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased some Pandora on Friday and the Jar in the shop said 29% when I get in my car the label says 25% being the third time this has happened to me I went back in to let them know hey you have an issue here and its AGAINST THE LAW to not accurately disclose what you are selling, the jerk laughed at me like it was a freaking joke not as if im a dis-satisfied customer and instead of trying to fix the situation (hey maybe tell me which is actually correct) HE LAUGHED! This was really the nail in their horrible customer service coffin after dealing with the horrifically rude girl who said not one word to me beside my total and glared making me hurry in my selection to get away from her. Oh did i mention i had to yell my selection over the sound of their music blaring because every time i said something i just got a glare and a i cant hear you look. All in all there is so many good shops in Portland and this one has fallen far from the top of that list where they used to reside.

Love this place for their low prices on concentrates. Good selection; their "Shatterday" sale on Saturday 🙃 sometimes wipes them out. Often very busy, but the staff do their best to remain friendly. Construction outside at the moment, affecting the sidewalk and entrance until upgrades are finished. Separate med patient room for better service. Locally owned and grown. I drive a little farther, and get up at 8am, to go here.

There's one girl that works there who literally skips me every single time. It's frustrating to go and wait in such a long line and then be "greeted" with poor customer service. Aside from that girl, who I now try to avoid, this place is the real deal. The pricing is always great and the quality is on point. They have a punch card program where you can make purchases to add up to get money off and they also have the penny gram days. The rest of the staff is so pleasant and nice that I'll always return but I just avoid the dark tan girl who is rude and never smiles. I do think they should relocate to a larger facility and add a few bud tenders as the last several times I've waited about 25 mins to get what I came for while people before me ponder what they want to purchase and the people after me are making their purchase before me. As you can tell that specific employee has left me with a bad taste in my mouth for Kaleafa. I'll still return since it's so close and the other employees are always great.

Called ahead because of a price I saw on leafly. They guy said he hadent been on and checked but they would have something in that price and to just come in. I drive 20 minutes one way to find out prices are outdated and even if I showed them price on leafly they wouldn't honor it. They tried to sell me half the amount for the same price. Busy. They need to figure out who came in first instead of calling who is next . Other dispensaries call you in order you check in.

Kaleafa's has always been my favorite shop, And I have been to hundreds by now. The best buds I have ever smoked. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. I also love that they have a different deal every day, and the reward system is awesome. 😄
