Paper and Leaf - Bainbridge Island

Definitely a bit chaotic, but I suspect they will smooth out the sales process once they've had a chance to catch their breath. Amazing selection, beautiful store layout, competitive prices. The biggest issue we encountered was ambiguity about who was helping us. First we got the floor tour from the owner, then we were passed to an associate who was too busy for us, so we started working with another associate who helpful but also engaged with another customer. Another associate got behind the counter and then left...finally we got checked out. Not a big deal. Two suggestions: Divide the labor between an order picker and a cashier. Less chaotic. Have some scratch paper and pencils on the big wood table so that first timers can take notes and write their "order". Yay! Love having this place on the island.

The Paper and Leaf gets all my business, the staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Jason is my goto bud tender but all are excellent. The location is very discrete but also easy to get in and out. They now are approved for medical too.

Hands down, best cannabis shop I've visited. Staff is always helpful, very knowledgable from the doorman to the owner all super cool. When I had a manufacturer defective vape, they didn't even ask twice. Would highly recommend.

The shop has some of the best herb offered in any rec shop in the state. I love the layout of the store, unlike any other shop in existence! Being able to walk about the shop and explore the different strains and ask questions is such a treat. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the products, I must give a shout out to Jason! That man has suggested some of the best herb combinations for me so far, he is also hilarious. I find that Jamie has a keen ability to always pick out just the right edibles for me as well! I will say I do have a hard time with one younger guy who works the floor. he is very short with me when I have detail questions. he also needs to know people are there to take it all in, not be rushed out the door. The Checkers are always amazing, love the ladies behind the counter. The larger gentleman behind the counter is always on point back there and moves around amazingly for such a small space, running back and fourth getting orders. In all seriousness he's really great and has never steered me wrong with his recommended products! Thank you Paper and Leaf! I will Always shop here!

Paper and Leaf is one of the best businesses of any kind I have ever encountered. Their friendly, professional staff members greet you at the door and are eager and ready to answer any questions you may have, or to give excellent, informed suggestions for the first time visitor. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant. Good, soulful music is always playing, and you may even have to stop and pet the shop's puppy! Great quality bud every time, and with their specials they run there are just some deals you can't pass up. 10/10 these guys every time! Thanks for doing such great business.

I love coming here. The feel of the place is very chill, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeabl. I always spend at least half an hour looking at all the different varieties and talking to other patrons and staff. I always looking forward to coming here each and every week.

I was in a few days ago and for the second time I had the most amazing experience with one of their employees. Nicholas who typically is behind the counter getting orders came out onto the floor and helped me for almost an hour. That may seem over the top but I can assure you I need it. I suffer from multiple health problems that often keep me at home. I have difficulty standing for very long, and get very weak fast. On both occasions of my being helped by Nicholas, he graciously took the time and care to help me around the store and to repeatedly grab the stool for me to sit down. He never pushes any products on me but I always leave with more than I had intended on purchasing, and much happier about it. Nicholas has a vast knowledge of marijuana that he has imparted onto me already but he gave me multiple websites and books to check out to do my own research. On top of that he gave me his personal email in case I had any further questions for him, that is customer service. He always helps me find just the right products and I can't thank him enough! I'm always excited to be going to visit my friends at paper and leaf! Please have Nicholas know that his work is greatly appreciated by me and the many friends I send your way. I love paper and leaf, they are the best recreational shop around!

couldn't be anymore perfect if it was next door. wait, it is my neighbor!! only 1 issue, why do they put up with suppliers lying about their product thc levels? it's b.s., it's dishonest, and it makes the whole industry look like a bunch of "Stoners". 37.7 % nickel please!! you'd be in a freaking coma. granted some shadey "suppliers " do things to bump up those numbers, but why the hell should I pay for it!?! grow some cajones! there's a bunch of suppliers who are honest. me for one! and no.

Nice looking place, custom built. Feels like the inside of a trendy bar or coffee shop rather than a seedy second hand store (you know what I'm talking about!). Transparent pricing a BIG plus. Good selection, friendly staff. Will echo another reviewers suggestion to designate sellers and checkers. It would have been faster if the cashier doesn't have to rummage around for my products at the counter. The seller could just pick the items out and leave them with the checker.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Nice presentation and tasteful decor. Exceptional, very fine product. Great philosophy. In other words, exactly what the owners promised in the media, and just what our island community needed and deserved. Congratulations on persevering through the red tape!

the ride out to Bainbridge is a beautiful treat -- the dispensary has a shuttle that will pick you up curbside; the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and was quick to answer every question without hesitation. great selection and great brands; high THC content strands. the owner, Brendan, lead me around the store and explained each product, and then I lead him around and he made a detailed list of everything I wanted. it was a unique boutique cannabis experience and the most memorable of my recreational shopping history. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff, the product and their atmosphere. best dispensary ever.

I love the location and the friendly, welcoming vibe. Offers a premium, well-rounded selection but very expensive compared to other shops in the area. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous but they tend to overwhelm with suggestions rather than assertively recommending one or two strains. Unfortunately, P&L does not offer a frequent flyer program like other shops in Kitsap County which is kind of a bummer as I would definitely shop here more if there was an incentive to return. Very pretty shop but prices are just too high for us locals.

First time at any bud shop (I've been living abroad) but the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the 'high-ups' banned a friend of mine for apparently no reason... which is not cool, especially in a tight-knit community like Bainbridge... personal vendettas aside, great experience!

This is a quality place. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the prices are quite competitive. They have a variety of strains that are available for $8/gram, and some higher quality ones for around $15/gram. I'm extremely happy that there is a recreational facility on Bainbridge, and this facility is certainly deserving of a 5-star rating. My only qualm was that they were a bit confused/overwhelmed due to the number of customers. As they get used to the traffic (they've only been open 18 days!) I'm sure that will be streamlined. I highly recommend this place.

Have visited P&L 3 times since its opening. Extremely knowledgable staff, great variety of product and growers with a focus on sourcing local product. The store has a unique setup with displays of product surrounding the inside space and a viewing table. The staff as always spent as much time as I've wanted providing information.

Product is displayed in a odd way and not very customer friendly or intuitive. Prices should be on the products and not just in the corner of the display case. The staff has been more than helpful and answered all my questions. I have been in and purchased several different products and I'm not sure if they buy discounted old dried out flowers or what but Bubble Gum described as "sticky with a sweet thick tasting smoke" was anything but! A light cigar like flavor with dried up buds that went through the grinder with one turn. And their Girl Scout Cookie strain is unlike any GSC I've ever had. A blueberry smell and taste instead of the typically earthy and minty tones. Not sure I trust their product to be what they say. I'll continue making the drive across the bridge unless in a bind.

I go to this glorious establishment very frequently and even though I already reviewed the shop, it deserves two shout outs!! Every person involved with Paper and Leaf is genuinely awesome, super nice and helpful & overall RADICAL!!!! Shouts to both Nicks, both J's (Jason & James I think) and to Paul!!!! The recommendations are always spot-on and perfect!!!! Oh, and to who helped me yesterday I think, who recommended the KaiDro Super Blue Dream, man that stuff was FIRE!! Gracias and sorrs I am bad with names but I will connect nex time I roll through!!!!

The staff are so friendly and knowledgable! You can give them the type of feeling you're looking to gain and they'll recommend exactly what you need. Lots of awesome edible options and the cutest dog to give pets to while you shop.

Very cool innovative way to display the strains, beautiful interior almost gallery esque. Great customer service, Nicholas was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the right strain we were looking for. Will be back, and will recommend!

I'm so glad to have a shop this good on our magic island. The staff are smart, alert and friendly. I'm a fan of Nick too. And there was one staffer who took time to counsel my wife over the phone about pain relief. The space itself seems somewhat empty in terms of warmth, despite all the wood. I'd get something up on the walls - paintings or posters or whatever, to humanize it a bit more. I certainly won't dock them a star just over that. Where it counts, these guys have it.

Fantastic atmosphere, great display cases. Welcoming, very knowledgable and patient staff. I don't speak this language and I was very kindly lead through an amazing primer on the astonishing variety, not just of the plants but the myriad ways to use it. The collective enthusiasm of both staff and customers is delightful.
