it was cool i like the streamline look of the place no fuss they get down to business then you leave my favorite type of place flower is pungent and fresh carts are always good if you get cresco others are hit or miss

I had a really disappointing experience at Sunnyside Cannabis in South Beloit. The customer service was terrible—staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, making the whole visit feel rushed and unwelcoming. Instead of assisting with product recommendations or answering questions, they barely engaged, which was frustrating. The product quality also left a lot to be desired. I purchased a few different items, and none of them lived up to expectations. Some seemed stale, others had a weak effect, and overall, the consistency just wasn't there. For the high prices they charge, I expected far better quality. Speaking of pricing—it's completely unreasonable. Compared to other dispensaries in the area, Sunnyside’s prices are way too high for what you get. There are much better options nearby where you can find superior products, better deals, and friendlier service. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for good cannabis products and a positive shopping experience.

Great spot at a truck stop. The budtender / wellness advisor named Nickolas is amazing. He helped me while training a new hire (I think) and I hope the trainee can be as enthusiastic, kind, accommodating, and as excellent as Nickolas. I strongly dislike the tax on Illinois recreational - it is stealing using other words, but Nickolas makes that hit to the wallet much easier with his professionalism.

This place is fantastic, even when the parking lot’s fun, line out the door, they’re still on their game without sacrificing quality of service. Speaking of service though, Nickolas is literally the best ever: I’m so happy when I see him when I walk in that I hope the weed line gods are in my favor so that I can see him. He is just such a goodhearted, welcoming person that he just naturally cuts through any bad times or anxieties.

This was my first time at a dispensary and this place was amazing. The iPad dude was super friendly helped me find something that was perfect, for a 1g northern lights cartridge and it’s amazing. Will definitely come back here again!!

I was in last Thursday, had an issue with my card and I kept having to go back to atm (not the fault of any of you) the button may have been sticking and I had one to many failed attempts to use my card. Becca (I'm told there's 2, nothing against the other but this was Becca with darker hair, glasses) was my bud tender for maybe 3rd time? At the least, 2nd. SHE'S AWESOME! Really easy to talk to regarding everything she'll answer pretty much any question, very helpful! Pleasant. Everything you'd want to keep doing business there. Perry came up at the end- there's a quality guy if there ever was one. That guy is ALWAYS cool! Super chill, friendly and seems super quality. I have no doubt he is. Dylan has helped me several times- THAT guy knows his stuff! He's great. Josh is quality. John? Maybe it's Jon? Good guy. I'm from kenosha and I drive to South Beloit rather than closer ones, because the staff is second to none.

The staff is friendly, even the guards outside are super nice. My budtender Seeweed 😝 was great. The staff helping me shop and were able to assist me when I asked for CBG+THC combos and CBN/THC combo products not all dispensaries do that and it is greatly appreciated

Overpriced

I normally go to a different location but this one was closer. Being from out of town I was pretty excited before coming in. I found this location to have the most uncomfortable atmosphere ever. From the employee up front being bothered at me using my gun license (which is strange because tsa accepts it) so I then have to pull out my passport card, which has the same damn info…. Anywho there were random people purposely breathing down my neck in the line and I felt harassed. Due to the color of my skin I said nothing because because of the aforementioned, I would have been in the wrong, for NOTHING. The prices at this location are ridiculous. I know because I checked the others. Also is you take time out of your day to contact them to complain they don’t give a damn. They’ll send a generic email and go on as if nothing happened. Like you’re trash. I went back again, two days later for the same items and the young man behind the counter was the most pleasant I have experienced at any Sunnyside location. I would not recommend this location to anyone who is not Caucasian. I’m from Texas and I wanna advise y’all that it is free to be kind. I don’t give a damn what you all are selling.

I’ve been to Sunnyside South Beloit twice now. Today is no wait. The vibe is waaay better than Rockford. The Budtenders are awesome. I think Kat was my bud tender. They are good at changing your order and recommending products. I was buying Blueberry today and a bud tender passing by said, “Hey we just got Blueberry Headband in.” Guess what? I bought another 3.5 grams. My only complaint is the price. $80 for 3.5 grams after tax. Still a great store.

I love it! I have been waiting 40 yrs to have dispensaries to go to. I love trying out new stuff and finding favorites. I was used to hiding it from men with guns! Now men with guns are holding the door open for me lol!

I asked the Budtender about the effectiveness and cost of Veil, Weed Smoke Odor Eliminator Spray Bottle. The Tender of line 6, Cory W. was totally honest and he could have easily lied to push a sale. Cory said he had never used it and called the 420 on the floor over to see if she knew anything about it. Nope, nothing, nobody had tried it or knew anything about it. That did not surprise me, I mean it's legal. What did surprise me was the honesty of all of the employees. That impressed me enough to throw down another twenty bucks and test it out for everyone. Well, It works FANTASTIC! Corey W., The 420 & Entire Line-up of Budtenders working that day deserve all the credit for that sale. I've tried a ton of Sprays, Scent Bombs, Hanging Christmas Trees, Odor Removers and/or Dope Smell Repellents for my vehicle with no success. The Bottle of Veil has never made it out of the car, it works GREAT. Thank You Corey W.! My friend, You deserve a tip jar, at the very least. I have been visiting Sunnyside South Beloit for months and am impressed by Illinois cannabis! I lived on both coasts and became familiar with the local weed and Illinois should be proud. Excellent strains that rival the best. Last two visits I was helped by Seeweed and had outstanding service! I can count on that, as the other staff have been awesome.

Long wait, but worth it. Corey was my budtender; he was engaging, informative and pleasant. Everyone else was pleasant as well, and yes, the line was long enough to leave the building, but they had another large room next door, keeping you out of the elements for a bit. Once you’re inside, it’s another long wait, but they are fully staffed and working their asses off. One thing I appreciated was that they had little displays with predictively-themed books and magazines you could flip through while you wait, as well as other neat little knick-knacks. The product is great as well, some “shake” from Verano (it’s listed as shake on the website, but it’s actually ground flower, much better than shake imo). Great experience overall, would recommend 👌🏻

I Don't Know How They Are Even In Business The Way They Treat There Customers It's Sad They Will Have Over 10 Employees But Will Only Have 4 Cashier's Open With The Line Backed Up In The Other Waiting Room. They Don't Give You Type Of Compensation For The Joke Of A Time They Are So Called Helping Customers. I Can't Wait Until There Is A New Dispensary So Myself And Everyone Else Can Actually Get Treated With Dignity. I Mean The Employees Will Be Reading Books Before Helping Someone Get There Product. From Horrible Employees To Horrible Prices Look At Any Michigan Dispensary And They Have Cartridges For 10 Dollars And Ounces For 60 Sunnyside Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves!!!

I’ve frequently this dispensary for a while. It’s the closest one nearby. I’ve been waiting on line in an unfinished room for over an hour as they take 12 people at a time. This building is huge. It’s massive. But whether you have an online order, your dropping a grand, or whatever, you’ll spend your whole night waiting to pick up your ONLINE order. Just total incompetence. Your systems will be down or your short staffed. This place has more cash running through it than a bank but can’t even serve all the customers trying to throw you money. A racket. Feasting on the poor.

Marissa helped me on the day I was there, she was down like 4 flat tires! I even asked if I had something on my face and she was just as helpful with that as she was with the buds. Top notch human! Love the dispensary every visit!

I have been coming to this location since there first day open, like any business they have made mistakes but in my experience have always made it right in the end. This to me is huge having worked retail for most of my life and having recently been received multiple wrong orders (from regular companies not Sunnyside) that refused to fix there errors. This means Sunnyside is a Reputable company that cares about it's customers, and that's less and less these days from any company. No I don't have affiliation with the company other than being a long time customer, but from my experience this dispensary stands above a lot of others that I have shopped. Now just if Illinois could lower there tax rate as the high price is because of Illinois taxing every step of the process. I personally will be continuing to shop this location and highly recommend them to others as well.

Maybe if we leave as many nasty reviews for the South Beloit location, the owners might get a clue and up the rate we can get the **** out of their store and move on with our lives. They should just post on their website “We only have 4 cashiers today” and see how many say “Nah we’re good” because I bet it’s a lot. They’re so cooked once Evers legalizes it and they know it. So don’t expect them to change until they’re no longer the one option on the stateline.

I have been here several times. It was this visit that the order taker was very friendly and helpful, this had not been my experience before this visit. However the cashier's were downright unfriendly. They had such a negative vibe that I think I will not return to this location.
