The Higher Path

2014 found me traveling up and down the California Coast between FarNorCal and LA for work and play...then I met a play that I wanted to stay for and 2016 finds me relocated back to the...Valley?! Thank goodness THP is here to salve my Gen-X soul into accepting that I have indeed gone rogue and grown up...and it's more than okay! When one enters THP, the bustle and blister of Ventura Blvd. is mellowed away by chill music, cool beverage offerings, and the smiles of THP Team. When there is a wait, the front room radiates good vibes and tranquility. One may gaze at the road-ragers with empathy as one considers the day's flavour. The back room is clean, stocked, and efficient. What I truly appreciate is the diversity of the crew. Each budtender has his/her/their own custom canni-curation for your needs ready via friendly, kind, no-pressure but knowledgeable dialogue that is welcoming and respectful. Their flower is displayed and maintained with care. THP keeps flower with flower and shake with shake. They call type correctly. I appreciate this. I'm the furthest thing from a Humboldt Hunny, but my hum-grown heart bleeds Redwoods and I know my 'yada.' I value that THP does as well. With the boom in MMJ Delivery and Dispensaries it seems like quality is being trumped for the almighty...but I digress. I lean toward exotics and require robust elevation: I have tasted some of my all-time fave flavors at THP: Daytripper, Blue Satellite (please get these 2 back in!), Black Lotus, and my current rave: Chem Scout! I'm Humboldt Homegrown through and through, but my ever-budding heart has much appreciation for the standard and care The Higher Path offers their patients.

Cool vibe, nice people. 1st time patient and was treated like an old friend! Daily specials will keep me coming back. Only drawback was the parking situation; a few shared spaces in the back, then again there's free valet at certain times. Street parking is available but Ventura Blvd. can get quite hectic. All the patients who were there when I was seemed to be quite pleased with the entire experience.

I love this place. Everyone was great (all the guy bud tenders were super cute, too.) They have an amazing selection and are super knowledgable. Recommended one of my favorite strains to this day! I don't live in the area, but I would absolutely come back again when I find myself in Sherman Oaks again!

Terrible. Ruined my day. It shouldn't take an hour to check out with a bud tender. They are not knowledgeable and the credit card system is a joke. Also- my Rec and drivers license resets in their system almost every time. Big waste of time. Disappointing selection of high quality flower. It's unfortunate. Place used to be cool.

Honestly, after you come to this dispensary you can't go to another. You're spoiled here with goodies and treats all the time and the atmosphere is so peaceful! The staff is the best! So helpful and nice! I LOVE THE HIGHER PATH!

This is an excellent dispensary. As one who is not a heavy cannabis user, I had a bunch of questions regarding strains and concentrates. Dan was not only super helpful and incredibly patient, he was also just a really nice guy who clearly knows his stuff. He was very knowledgable and made me feel completely comfortable there. The young woman at the front desk was also incredibly friendly (did not get her name) and very excited that it was my first time there. I cannot make a higher (no pun intended... ok, maybe a little) recommendation than this dispensary. Their prices may be slightly more expensive relative to some of the other dispensaries in town, but if you like really good product and even better service and atmosphere, you really should come to this place. All around a very good experience, and I will most definitely be back.

One of the first dispensaries I ever went to-- been going to this dispensary for almost a year now, and it's still my all-time favorite. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and they always remember you every time you come in. It smells incredible inside, and the interior decorations are gorgeous. Their points/rewards system is so unique and makes for a fun shopping experience, along with their daily deals. Love THP and recommend it to everyone in the valley!!

Excellent shop. Only drawback can be parking and the wait, but there is valet on site and the lobby is comfortable. Selection is excellent, the staff are knowledgable and nice. I got a great education on CBD products here. This is quickly becoming my go-to shop! The cookie monster is my favorite strain.

This place is FREAKING AMAZING! Came in with a friend, and we learned a TON of helpful info from the guy here. I mean he was super knowledgeable about how to go about this, and that (cancer related help) he recommended everything very informatively. My friend was moved to tears by the incredible help and amazing service you get here. Seriously. Best place in the valley fam. Go!

I've been going here for about a year now. This shop is VERY patient and service oriented. They want to make sure patients are informed and getting the right kind of meds; if you need advice, ask! Patients new to MMJ are welcome just as more experienced folks. The atmosphere is top notch – you could bring your grandparents here! It's designed that way, and they make every effort to integrate into the community, not hide behind a dark storefront. They WANT people to know they are there. If you look at their storefront, they usually list what they have paid in taxes the previous month and articles also. Nice lobby with rotating artwork and comfy chairs. Friendly, competant staff. They are Pre ICO and prop D compliant. On your receipt, it clearly shows your goods and the taxes you paid on them. They have regular daily specials, happy hour, and you get points with every purchase that you can see right on your receipt too, redeemable in goods :-) Some bud tenders are more knowlegable than others, but if they do not know the answer to something, they will try to find out. One of the 2 owners is often there. Their flower quality varies a little bit more than I would like, but is usually priced accordingly. They seem to carry more high CBD varieties than any place I have ever been too. Overall, an outstanding selection across the board of all kinds of Cannibis.... edibles, concentrates, tinctures, you name it. ALL of the concentrates they have are CO2 extractions. They also carry some hash.... why so few clubs don't stock any or very little is baffling to me. They also have *real* kief of excellant quality and purity! I have only seen kief this good in Holland, and only twice in the US. It's exactly like it should be: trichomes, virtually no plant matter at all even under high magnification. Good kief should be in the blond to amber range. If you see green kief, it's NOT kief! It's crap! There FTP is good too. If this sounds good, check this place out. You won't be dissapointed.
