One of the first grows I ever saw featured an pure Afghani straight that was straight kill!, circa 1997 Pittsburgh,PA. Still to this day one of the best.
It helped with the pain in my knees and cleared my mind. It wasn’t a euphoric high but it did the job.

I found this Indic to be nice and strong. Super relaxing healing all body pain. I suffer from a hip issue had surgery to fix it and my hip pain came back but to an accident. This flower helps me sleep all through the night.
i thought because its a heavy indica it will shut me down.
it actually made me feel awake but relaxed at the same time.
i have used better strains but this one is fine.
i would recommend using this strain while gaming and watching videos.
This strain was suggested to me based on wanting a pure indica. I learned that this is a landrace strain because it's named after the region it naturally grows in.
The batch I purchased came from World of Weed in Tacoma, WA. The grower was Triple T Farms, harvested on 9/01/2015 and packaged on 9/25/2015. I usually break a bud and inhale nice and deep to get the nose - it smells like a bowl of sunflower shells mixed with slightly wet hay and left to sit for a day. I know that's not a very appealing description but that's what I pick up. The buds are pretty crispy but I attribute that to the sealed plastic packaging (note to rec processors - glass jars work better!). I plan on using a small c-vault to cure a nug to see if the flavors develop.
I opted to vape for my first session and I was not disappointed. The taste was great, again reminiscence of sunflowers along with burnt popcorn on the exhale. Even though the bud is dry and crispy, it was not harsh with a desktop vape. The high had a slow come up, but was nice and mellow. I was able to coast off to sleep fairly well when it was time for bed. I don't get couch lock very easy, so others should head into this strain knowing that some say it's great for that.
I'm giving this a 4/5 because the indica effects were exactly what I was looking for. I just wish these rec processors could find a way to preserve the freshness of the product.
Body high is intense and quick to set in. Taste was very light, and quite pleasant. Extremely resinous and potent. 3 or 4 hits and I was so high, I was fist-bumping Jesus. I definitely recommend this for light-weights, because it takes very little to get you where you need to be. I wouldn't smoke this early on in the day, unless you're ready to just chill or nap. I also wouldn't recommend smoking this in a place where you have to go up or down any stairs or move around a lot, because the body high is suuuper intense. Light dizziness, but that's not a problem when you're just sitting around.

Like some other reviewers, I suffer from awful anxiety-fueled insomnia but Afghani lets me sleep like a baby.
It's also easy to grow, so it's a great beginner strain for home/hobbyist growers.
By far my favorite Indica. Me and my friend bought an eighth of it this last week and we smoked one bowl and I got hit hard. Got a very substantial head buzz and directly went inside.
Afghani seems to me like a very powerful sleep-inducing strain and it also makes me pretty hungry.
We smoked with our friend who had never smoked before and she got quite high and we all enjoyed the fuck out of the Babadook. Afterwards we all passed out heavily and I was still tired when I woke up the next day. I wouldn't recommend smoking the night before you have to wake up early, but overall a very nice, buzzy high.
