Gelato reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Gelato.
Gelato isn't the best strain I've had, but it definitely isn't a bad one either. I usually go for the really euphoric and creative blends. Unless I want something relaxing and pain relieving. And even though Gelato has minimal pain relief and not the surge of euphoric creativity that I desire. It is a nice calming balance for just kicking back. When you don't have desire or capability to do anything. It is quite pretty too.

Tastes great but I *hate* the way it makes me feel. It gets me paranoid and increases my heart rate too much. It’s a shame because it’s a nice flavor and can be found often, but it’s not for me.
I came across this strain back in 2017. And it was one of the most colorful plants I’ve seen in a long time. I made some infused oil from it. It has such a sweet smell at taste. Perfect for a day at home being productive.
Method of consumption - Flower, Smoking.
—————
Smell — I will divvy this category up into three pieces. Full flower, grounded up flower, and smoke.
Full — Very strong. (8.5 out of 10.)
I had to keep it hidden in a vacuum container. Floral, woodsy, and earthy.
Ground — The sugary floral and citrus sweetness gave my olfactory sense a whiplash. It's overpowering but, in an amazing sense.
Smoke — Pungent* but still fruity diabetic-like sweet.
*Note: Seal your closet (with your work clothes in there) with a towel blocking the bottom of the door if you are going to work next day. The smell got everywhere in my bedroom and even on my clothes when it is tucked away in the dresser. Febreze or any other anti-odor sprays didn't work.
—————
Taste — I wish I could say that it tasted like gelato, haha. It tasted like a cup of sweet lavender cannabis tea with thinly sliced rinds of mandarin oranges and few sugar cubes.
—————
Effect — Very uplifting and relaxing at the same time. It's an all-rounder. You can use this to keep yourself busy but you also can use it to help you get tucked in for bedtime. It's ranked .5 below my favorite, Blue Dream; It could compete against my favorite strain of all times.
It did amazing for my depression! I suffer from Anhedonia and I haven't been able to enjoy anything for several months. Within 25 minutes after a couple big hits, I tuned into Brooklyn Rumble on Netflix and noticed that I was able to enjoy the good oldie.
However, I wouldn't recommend this strain for people who suffer frequent flashbacks of PTSD. It magnified my night terrors in my sleep and put my PTSD flashbacks on a repeat cycle until I got woken up by someone else.
—————
Negatives — Dry mouth and dry eyes as usual. It may make high anxiety and/ or heavy PTSD sufferers to feel their doom a bit more (more anxious).
—————
Munchies —
A solid 6.5 out of 10 on an empty stomach. It's medium-high in the scale but it can be lowered significantly if you smoked before having your meal instead of after.
—————
Extra — Not for beginners without supervision.
Great for depression and physical pains.
—————
My medical conditions are anxiety, Crohn’s disease, depression, insomnia, migraines, PTSD, and spinal injury (disc herniation).
gelato + jgb = 5/5
Great indica dominant strain. Nice, relaxing, yet focused high. Good for conversations with family and friends. Not spacey at all (well, maybe just a little...). Slows down time. Good strain to get things done (as long as the to-do list is breif).
Gelato is just really good my guy.
Beautiful light-colored flower! Mid-to-hard hitting effect. Smooth and creamy. Takes about 2-3 mins to feel full effect of a bong rip. 3-5 mins if using a blunt or joint. Great flower to medicate with in the morning due to it's uplifting and energizing effects!
