Larry OG reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Larry OG.
This the good stuff!! Very nice. Thanks, Paul
Extremely smooth shatter! No caugh at all! light high...
I was having such anxiety before I smoked this strain. I smoked about 3 hits and instantly felt relaxed. I smoked a whole bowl and got lost in Midnight Gospel for 2 hours straight. Relaxing and such a good body high. Head feels high but not too intense.
The Look: Very Dark soggy green colored rich redish, orange-ish, and some white on the underside of these nuggets. Small pockets of dark blackish purple on the lower ends of the brushed up leafs.
Bud Structure: Coming in at a 21.31% THC and .38CBG tested by Steep Hill Labs, These nuggets are hard to break open, not so much frostiness on top and cracking them open revealed frozen calyxes, pistol of a very dark amber color when breaking these treasures apart such a satisfying crack when breaking up these small Kernels.
The Smell: Lots of OG Kushy pungent mixed in with like a sweet pine and small hints of lemon under the tones of earth, with like a fresh scent of grass if you like how OG Kush smells like, this is like the next closest thing that has a Kush-y like smell.
The Vape: There's a trick I learned from watching the vapor brew for so many times out of the Volcano, depending on how thick it is reveals all the different terpenes coming to life. Like a ghost coming to life perfection! Heavy rolling hills of white mist inflate the clear plastic I can't even see the other side of it, which usually means this is going to hit the spot if you like heavy mellow hitting hybrids that make your body chill out.
The Taste: Pungent, very herbal tasting, harsh pepper at the end of each toke. I highly suggest something refreshing or even cold water to sooth the harsh back hit, like it hits the back of my throat in more of a spicy feeling than anything.
The Effect: It takes at least 15-20 minutes in before it effects you it's a small creeper. Vision is noticeably sharper and lights seem to leave a stream line linking back to the bulb. Very calm mind set enjoying the time, go with the flow type of mellow very interesting.
I would recommend this for social gatherings, it's a very nice warm feeling even in the cold temperatures right now its 3:00am on october 31st. Gotta say it will also leave you a little numb. Great to cook with. Helps with pain, mood issues, ADHD, since I am able enough to write this review with out any type of writers block it's great for creativity as well :P. If you suffer from depression this is definitely a life saver for that no more ANTS right now aka automatic negative thoughts. The reason why I rated this a 4 is the taste of it is very weak, I have had Larry OG many times and each time it's either pepper pungent, or like a weird intense leafy taste. To me personally it's a weak cross of the two. I've had many different crosses of both strains individually too, this is just not a good Kush for me. If you are looking for something light while still feeling medicated for a nice body relaxing this is great for feeling a little chill, without diving into the deep end. If you are having a panic attack on thc just take some cbd to be cured of the the panic attack. Figured I should share a good secret with y'all. A friend of mine was becoming super paranoid, brewed up a bag of ac/dc and I could see him shaking physically from the the when he came back, he was visibly more calm and relaxed. I told him skywalker at 24% thc right off the bat would, be too much, but the antidote worked enjoy exploring heavier strains knowing this!
Larry gave me the night of one thousand orgasms. He puts the Oh, God! in OG.
Steps to reproduce:
Fire up the Volcano to 374°F.
Grind up 0.12g Larry OG by Ohio Clean Leaf.
When temperature is ready, bag that Larry up.
Smoothest taste I have ever tasted, bag after bag. This was the first thing I ever Volcanoed that didn’t get stale after 5 minutes.
Listen to anything with or like the absolutely beautiful voice of Chino Moreno.
I had planned for at least a little staleage, which much to my pleasant surprise did not happen at all. I sent a little down below anyway and had very nice thoughts courtesy of Chino’s voice.
After all that was over, I watched this on YouTube:
https://youtu.be/G6NrxM6aIMM
Watch two of the most beautiful men talk about a song.
Too bad they only give the “girl” credit for “backup vocals”. They must have missed her shredding the #%!* out of the bass guitar in high #%!*ing heels. I do forgive him for pronouncing Maynard like Manyard, because he kinda looks like Brett Favre. Christians don’t run around thinking they are not going to getting sick.
Expected Result:
Pain relief, a little relaxation after a busy week.
Actual Result:
Larry gave me the night of one thousand orgasms. He puts the Oh, God! in OG.
A quick smoke on the porch did me in for the night. I was a perfect balance of up and down, chilling in bed while my mind goes to a million different places. It lasted forever, too; usually my highs die after a while with other strains but it must’ve been at least 3 hours. Absolutely beautiful, would smoke again 10/10
Larry OG is a smooth-hitting and tasty strain with a fresh pinene & limonene mix of flavor. The batch I had was 22% THC but the effects are very noticeable with a very pleasant head & body high. Will definitely be giving it another try in the future.
NOTE: My review comes from the perspective of an employee at Emblem Cannabis - www.emblemcannabis.com, and as a legal patient with various Licensed Producers in Canada.
INTRODUCING Emblem Cannabis:
Yellow Submarine (aka Larry OG, aka Lemon Larry)
STARRING:
A hybrid dominant strain, with 16% THC and co-starring the terpene Terpineol. No CBD in this one worth noting.
THE BLURB:
Also known as Lemon Larry, its parents are OG Kush and SFV OG. For me, genetics and lineage are interesting avenues to explore. It's the why behind how the strain came to be. For Emblem, why name it Yellow Submarine? As Larry OG - or Lemon Larry as we like to call it - matured, we'd walk through the grow rooms and breathe in a noticeable, vivid, lemony aroma. And somehow that bright yellow, lemon citrus visual turned into the Beatle's "We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine." And voila, Larry OG was dubbed Yellow Submarine as its Emblem name, which we think is very fitting for the creative vibe this strain delivers. It's a very uplifting, creative high, but not a giggly high. A talkative, exploratory kind of high. Alert and active.
THE SCENT:
It's fresh. Imagine a grassy meadow impossibly placed between a lush, wet pine forest and a fragrant lemon grove. The breeze is undulating back and forth between all three, creating the most aromatic verdant fragrance. I was pretty positive this would come out from the lab testing highest in the terpene limonene (which gives off a noticeable lemony scent), but instead the lab results concluded that terpineol was highest terpene found. Terpineol is sometimes described as having an aromatic herb scent and others describe it as having a lime or eucalyptus scent. All of those evoke a type of freshness, so I guess I could smell that here.
THE TASTE:
Smooth and slightly lemony. The lemon taste isn't apparent at first, but comes on after a bit. Cotton mouth for sure. (Note to self: Grab a glass of water and a nice lip balm before partaking. OMG. Lemon water would've been perfect. Next time.)
THE LOOK:
It has orange wavy hairs and a medium dense bud shape with some muscle that's glistening with trichome crystals. The nug size is pretty nice, averaging about 1.5" long in a 10g package. Emerging from the depths of the ocean, Yellow Submarine has just the perfect amount of moisture (plus Emblem gives Boveda packs). It's not crazy sticky, but sticky enough.
BACK TO THE BLURB…
…Squirrel! Ha…I got distracted by looking at Larry's Lemons, but I'm back to writing the blurb portion of the experience. I'd describe the vibe as 'active mind', focused, creative, exploratory, inquisitive and uplifting. Everything I've read said both this and the parent strains are hybrids, but I'd guess it's leaning strongly towards sativa. For me, it's not too intense and it delivers a medium buzz. My leg muscles were burning earlier from a tough workout 36 hours ago, but I'm not noticing the pain any longer. My body feels light, almost tingly, but yet not actually tingling. (Yep, super helpful, right? Ha.) With this strain, both my brain and body could be active. Favourite music and this strain would make a magical duo. It's below freezing outside, otherwise I'd wouldn't be able to resist going out to watch the stars, meditating under them as my mind wanders toward new ideas.
HOW LONG? WHEN?
Ha, I'll let you know… It's definitely longer than some and shorter than others. For me, it would be a day or early evening strain, and definitely not a go-to for right before bed. Personally, Larry OG would be a go for a hike type of strain strain. See nature strain. Dance strain. Move strain. Be in Awe of Life strain. Share love strain. Explore the world strain. Listen to good-vibe tunes and smile strain. Yoga strain. Even better…. It's a 'do yoga on a beach, at sunset, listening to good-vibe music while in awe of life' strain.
OVERALL:
Really nice. Active and uplifting.
“In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine”
~ The Beatles
