very potent, the smaller buds pack a serious punch. this batch was from Aurora Cannabis (licensed producer in Canada). I'd put this in the same category as Jack Herer, a "Super Sativa". can induce paranoia due to the intense rush of euphoria and energy. great for a wake n bake

It was pretty hard to rate this one. I mean, they named a movie after it, so it's gotta be good, right? Alas, the legendary Pineapple Express just doesn't really do it for me 100%. I still like it, but it's not the bee's knees, as it were. If I were to choose an alternative hybrid as of late, I would say I much prefer 3 Kings. The taste is great (like pineapples! kinda) and the smoke is smooth, but the effects aren't all there. It'll definitely get you to the next level, but it's missing something that a lot of the danker strains get right. Perhaps it's its relatively low THC level—as an "older" strain, it doesn't have the high percentages seen in recent varieties. Or maybe I was just expecting something more "hybridy" out of this hybrid; it definitely hits as a sativa and I am surprised to see it is not as listed on Leafly. You'll feel creative, energized, and excited all at once after a bowl of Pineapple Express. But it's not a very sustainable high, and subsequent sessions may not achieve as great an effect (this is true of all strains of course, but I found it especially noticeable with the Pineapple Express). Pineapple Express may induce munchies, though they can be staved off with copious water and something to distract you. You'll be able to focus on and enjoy intellectually stimulating material such as TV dramas or trippy video games. I'm a tough critic, so 3/5 really isn't that bad all things considered. I merely wouldn't rate this strain as good as hybrids like 3 Kings (5/5) or XJ-13 (4/5).

This is such a great strain! The perfect hybrid. One bong rip in the morning has me feeling great and ready for the day. Works wonderful for my PTSD and depression, Pineapple Express is uplifting, almost euphoric, energizing but also relaxing at the same time- I feel like with this I could either go take a walk or stay in and watch a funny movie. This type of PEX I got was from a new dispensary in my area, The Third Day. It's super hairy and fruity smelling, grinds up nice and the smoke tastes great, slightly harsh on the exhale. All in all definitely in my top 5 favorite strains. Give it a try. You'll like it :)

Was expecting a little more from the strain just because of the hype about it, but it was still a very good strain. Smells and tastes good, not too harsh on your throat.
