This strain is my all-time favorite. The only downside is that it makes me constantly lose my lighter. This is even after I bought big red grill lighter and taped a plastic spoon to it. Solution: I clipped a carabiner to the end and wear it with a lanyard around my neck. In the end, Trainwreck helps with anxiety and VERY effective for PTSD. Highly recommend for veterans.

Originating near Arcata in the late 1970's, Trainwreck is a classic and distinctive Sativa on par with Jack Herer, and similar in effects, although the taste is completely different from the sweet, cotton-candy flavor of Jack. Trainwreck's smell is pungent, sharp, and sour. The strain odor is not only strong but uniquely distinctive and instantly recognizable. With a flavor profile most similar to Sour Diesel, Trainwreck has a tangy sour foreground comparable to lemon oil, rosemary, and white vinegar. The slightly acrid background flavor is somewhere between pine sap, burnt garlic, and black coffee. The combination produces a pleasant lingering aftertaste. The strain flavor will be most appealing to those who love strong and sour flavors. The strain's classic daytime sativa effects are similar to Jack Herer but with increase alertness, energy, and focus. This makes it an ideal strain for outdoor activities, repetitive work tasks, and intense study sessions. Trainwreck can also be a "creeper" strain with delayed full effects, so take your time consuming it. Some sources claim this strain is a hybrid, but the strain effects, leaf, and bud morphology are all Sativa dominant. Bud morphology is pure Sativa, with long, soft, fingering buds with pointed tips. This is important to remember when shopping, as the old age and prestige of the strain have led to some manufacturers labeling other types of cannabis as Trainwreck (e.g. No Till). When these imposterors can't be identified by the lack of Trainwreck smell due to being in sealed containers, they might be identified by their lack of Sativa morphology. Trainwreck buds can be frosted but tend to be loose and airy even by Sativa standards. The buds are rarely dense and never round, with foxtailing being a common issue for growers.

I smoke this when I have a lot to do, whether at work, house projects, studying, or even painting. I only need a little hit, and it does hit like a train within 5 minutes. It opens up my creativity, and helps me feel motivated to stay super-focused while multitasking. No more inertia or sluggishness! Sometimes I forget to eat/drink if I blasted myself too hard, so make sure to stay hydrated and keep food nearby if you tend to hyperfixate or miss your hunger cues. This has become daily medicine and its effects are enhanced with coffee or a gentle St. John's wort tea brew*. My biggest symptom is dry mouth, as well as being less talkative and more "in my head" and analytical. But it's great if I'm talking about philosophy or analyzing a book/film/artwork with someone! I got this in Jackson a vape cart in medical Marijuana. And 2 to 3 hits from this will give me such a head high that I feel sleepy and have to lie down. All in all a very good strain. Then I'm awake fully energized feeling. A+ 5Star

absolutely love it! I am a high tolerance medical cannabis user for various chronic illnesses and chronic pain. this wipes my pain and nausea out completely when it breaks through my other meds.

this strain has me rolling on the floor cackling over the most ridiculous things. everything has me in hysterics. it also gives me the munchies. solid 4/5 from me. best strain for getting high socially, i just wish it didn’t give me a headache in higher doses. it lives up to its name

one of the best strains I've had, got it in a disposable pen this time because it is so hard to find in stores in flower form. but it's like a nostalgic strain for me in my book

I’ve had this in BOTH flower and disposable vape form. Both are phenomenal and love to pick these up! Strong head high and very energizing. Good for preworkout
