Oh how I miss you soooo very much. In illinois, I have never seen this in a dispensary. Ever. Yes in a cartridge a time or 2, but we all know that when it's coming from a company that doesn't have that flower, or any company for that matter, they've taken terms that match its flavor and just made it in their lab. This is a one of a kind buzz. I still can reme.ber it to this day. 2 hits and I could feel this exotic , almost wild feeling like I had been thrown on a speeding train ripping through the jungle. Lol. Nothing else like it before or since. Could easily see it being too much for a novice. It could very well wreck your day. Defined for those who are mentally strong. But it made me want to just dance and everything was interesting to me. I was talking to strangers, and had the urge to explore the woods behind a friend's house. But where is this stuff? It's like gone. For years I have looked and nobody knows. Maybe in another state.. idk. But if they'd just grow it in illinois, they'd make a killing off of it. I'd go as far as to say it's almost bucket list material for me at this point. I know there's desire for it because you can find premixed terms for it in mass quantities in every headshop around. I hear oldtimers talk about their wonderful stories with it. It's a shame the closest we can get is the rare pineapple express flower by Cresco. It's half trainwreck so they say. It's gone as soon as it arrives. I've even secured an order of it, and 45 minutes later I show up for it...sold out! Smokers unite! Resurrect this legend! Convince your dispensaries! Talk to growers in the industry! Seeds are available , I've seen them a few times recently. When I say I know of hundreds of people who want this strain, I'm not exaggerating at all. And on the other other end of the spectrum... Hindu kush. Another one I've never seen in illinois. The best thing for insomnia I've ever had. Super couch locker...but great medicine. 100% indica. Un altered. Just as God made it. And it would make killer concentrates as well. Sometimes, the originals are all that is needed. Yeah you can get afghan kush, but it's not the same. Hope this is of help to someone. If you find trainwreck... cherish every toke. You are lucky. God bless!
Trainwreck welcomed me back to the world of marijuana! I had "party smoked" junior high school through college until the mid-90's when I graduated and got jobs that randomly drug tested....government jobs...I am watching you. LOL. Just local small town Planning and Community Development jobs. Up to the point I quit smoking for employment reasons, I smoked whatever came to me. Sometimes good, sometimes bleck. Never bothered with strain info. Now, fast forward to the mid-00's and my eventual defeat by my lifelong chronic depression. When I say defeat, I mean government disability due to "chronic non-medical responsive depression". Basically, I lost my wife at 36yrs old and couldn't function enough to hold a job and was failing to help my son through his grief. The loss of anything keeping me ok fell apart. I even allowed myself to do shock treatment to kick my depression. Didn't work. Only humilitation from the stigma. Suicide was always lurking in the shadows....THEN....my sister had some weed 2 xmas' ago and couldn't fly with it so I decided to get high after all this time. Trainwreck was it's name and it gave me a fighting chance to push the depression to at least arms length. I had no idea you could breed specific strains to help with specific ailments. It gave me that needed space to shake free from my depression and actually say "I'm ok." I cried and cried and cried. I had finally found the thing that could help me in my fights with depression. I am in a non-medical state and have to search real hard to get Trainwreck or a similar sativa dominant hybrid that helps the most. But I won't let that stop me.
Thank you Trainwreck. You'll never know how much you helped me change my life.
Everything in the description is accurate.

Originating near Arcata in the late 1970's, Trainwreck is a classic and distinctive Sativa on par with Jack Herer, and similar in effects, although the taste is completely different from the sweet, cotton-candy flavor of Jack.
Trainwreck's smell is pungent, sharp, and sour. The strain odor is not only strong but uniquely distinctive and instantly recognizable. With a flavor profile most similar to Sour Diesel, Trainwreck has a tangy sour foreground comparable to lemon oil, rosemary, and white vinegar. The slightly acrid background flavor is somewhere between pine sap, burnt garlic, and black coffee. The combination produces a pleasant lingering aftertaste. The strain flavor will be most appealing to those who love strong and sour flavors.
The strain's classic daytime sativa effects are similar to Jack Herer but with increase alertness, energy, and focus. This makes it an ideal strain for outdoor activities, repetitive work tasks, and intense study sessions. Trainwreck can also be a "creeper" strain with delayed full effects, so take your time consuming it. Some sources claim this strain is a hybrid, but the strain effects, leaf, and bud morphology are all Sativa dominant.
Bud morphology is pure Sativa, with long, soft, fingering buds with pointed tips. This is important to remember when shopping, as the old age and prestige of the strain have led to some manufacturers labeling other types of cannabis as Trainwreck (e.g. No Till). When these imposterors can't be identified by the lack of Trainwreck smell due to being in sealed containers, they might be identified by their lack of Sativa morphology. Trainwreck buds can be frosted but tend to be loose and airy even by Sativa standards. The buds are rarely dense and never round, with foxtailing being a common issue for growers.

• Just had C3-C6 left side neck Radiofrequency Ablation without sedation. An hour after my appointment of burning my nerves the pain is unreal!!! Nothing I had ever felt before. It’s taking half my pain away (it feels like they put a shit ton of botox in mixed “stiff,” with a pulled muscle from my traps to the the bottom of my skull sprinkle with a feeling of someone sitting on my neck)
• It woke me up for a split but I think with my pain its just making me tired
• It helps me focus with my ADHD but also gives me energy. For ADHD goers: the leg moving (stimulating) then smoking this turns into I want to get up and move ..too much energy type.
• I smoked the flower back in high school days with a group of people. I just remember it tasting like bacon & eggs, we were all laughing for no reason, as a non casual smoker back then I always told myself to remember that strain as it was a favorite. As a casual smoker for 8months now. Its very sweet tasting like Squirt soda. Lol
• WOW!!! My pain level was at a 12 out of 10 scale after awhile when I was getting to bed it knocked it down to a 1-2pain scale. I was shocked how amazing it works for nerve pain!!
I would never be on this site let alone leaving a post but it was because I read someone else's post that I went for it and I am so glad I did. While I can't get a prescription where I am, I use it as such for an issue with depression/anxiety, problems I've been trying to medicate away in one way or another since I was 11-12 years old. Long story short, it has been such a long time since I've been able to enjoy this, but I can tell you without any restraint that the sticky green buds of Trainwreck will not space you out or leave you stuck on your couch - if you're wise and show a little restraint yourself. Two, maybe three, puffs of this stuff should have you feeling upbeat and a little hungry, happy to help anyone around you in any way you can. It's almost like a Tramadol, a mild sensation, that clears away any aches & pains, soon leaving you in a relaxed, optimistic state.
The Medical Marijuana strain called Trainwreck came from Humboldt County, CA I think. I got a chance to grow it in Oregon in 2003 for my friend Rosemary. Her Medical Marijuana strain clones of Trainwreck were crossed with the Humboldt County, CA strain to the Oregon Trainwreck strain. I remember it going from Purple looking colas to Lime Green looking colas of Trainwreck back in the Fall of 2003. The Trainwreck strain I first tried in Oregon costs me $150 dollars for a Half ounce that weighed 16 1/2 grams but I almost died Hitch hiking to my friend Kyles trailer in the dark of night by a Huge Grizzly Bear but a Mexican Indian guy felt like if he didn't pickup me from walking out in to traffic that I was going to be killed by this Huge Male Grizzly Bear and he saved my life. The Mexican Indian said that I was pale as a ghost when I got into the passenger side cab of his Brown Datsun truck. The Oregon Trainwreck strain crossed with the Humboldt County, CA Trainwreck strain was awesome terpenes of Woodies, Lemon, and Earthy and it makes you feel anxious, energetic, and focused but it can make you paranoid, dizzy, and dry eyed after a few bowls of smoking the flowers of this Lovely Medical Marijuana strain called Trainwreck!!!!!!!
I would put Trainwreck somewhere in my 10 favorite strains of all time. The last batch I purchased was a few years back from a delivery service in Washington DC. Once the jar was open, a pungent and overwhelming scent of gas & putrid grapefruit filled the room. It's one of those strains I want around but not necessarily smoke it on the basis that I never want my stash to run out. This strain has a lot going for it & if you come across it, you must try it.
