Ascend Cannabis - Collinsville

I have purchased at least 3.5 grams of concentrates a week as a medical patient for the last 5-6 years. The last two weeks I purchased concentrates that were leaking from the container. The first time this was replaced, the second time I was given $5. I provided video proof of what was happening and was told the product was “retrievable.” There was no way of getting the distillate/terpenes out of the lid and the grooves of the glass jar to get it mixed into the remaining product. This medical location no longer cares about patients. I wish Madison county could get a different medical dispensary. I have never had this issue at a recreational dispensary.

we need need more medical assistance spread farther in the state not just near the coast of H**d. Then prices will drop all over. This place thumbs down.

Collinsville location moves slow lines are always creeping along. You could be in line for 10 minutes, medical patient could come in the door and cut right in front of you. So if 10 medical patients come in the door all 10 will come in front of you. Service is not always friendly. I rather go to Fairview Heights the two locations are like night and day I can't say enough to explain how different they are from getting through the line from the service you get, and the atmosphere of the place all means a lot when you're in a hurry.

So for all the Recreational Smokers out there. I’ll answer a few questions I know I had before going to HCI. The experience goes like this. They have good 4-5 horizontal lines, just like waiting for Mr Freeze or Batman rides at six flags. Once those are full, the rest of the line continues down the side road adjacent to the interstate. Parking is a NIGHTMARE as one can expect. I managed to sneak into a closed business (since it’s Sunday) that did not have a “no parking sign” like the others, so I didn’t fear getting towed, otherwise.. be prepared for a mile or more walk! —we showed up a good hour or more before it opened at 10am. We were just about 10 or so people from the end of the fence lines, so we did not have to wait in the street. Once in line you’ll be given a menu on a paper, medical marijuana card information, and state/local rules and laws. — as you get to the front of the line, a few workers are there with iPads, you place your order with them, and give them your first name and two first letters of your last name, as you wait to enter the building, their already packaging and pulling your order. — as you enter, a security guard will scan your ID! NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ID RULES. Cannot be expired, can’t be broken or messed up, and has to be a government issued drivers license, ID CARD, Military ID Card or a Passport. They were turning people away pretty consistently for this and made no exceptions to the rule for anyone! — you finally get to enter the building now and stay in the lobby, nothing happens here, your waiting for the back room to empty out a bit before heading to the “room” — as you enter the back, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Theirs all kinds of upper scale vape pens, bubblers, pipes, papers, bongs, Dab Rigs, blunt wraps etc etc. but all carry a hefty price tag. If you buy a certain kind of concentrate, you’ll have to use THEIR pen, I believe it was the Airopro vape carts, as they are expensive for the cart so just stick with the regular carts that have a 510 connection, the airopro isn’t worth the money! — you get to the counter, hand them your ID again, and he takes your name and finds your order. He goes over everything with you to make sure he pulled exactly what you wanted! (They ONLY had one flower strain that was actually “flower” and it was lemon sapphire for 65$ an eighth, they also had strawberry 17 but in “shake” for 42 an eighth plus taxes) — you can use CASH OR DEBIT CARD ONLY, no credit card purchases! He hands you your sealed bags and edibles or whatever else you purchased and out the door you go. DO NOT OPEN YOUR BAG UNTIL YOUR HOME. Cops were everywhere and I’m sure their ticked off about a dispensary opening up literally right next to their police station. So their looking for any reason to harass you, and if you open your bag, they could charge you with a DUI (they probably won’t but who cares to find out)! Just wait til you return home and enjoy! ——all in all I was very displeased with the selection, ONE SINGLE flower strain is unacceptable! And it wasn’t that they ran out, because they only had TWO to begin with! But the medical patients have a plethora of strains and options, but their stuff is kept separate from hours! Not cool! I did however weigh the bags and they were ALLL on point! Eighths bounced from 3.48 on one bag to 3.56 on another and the shake was over about a 10th of a gram.. to about 3.6-3.7! —-TAXES ARE INSANE depending on what you buy because it varies greatly! From what I understand, the higher the THC content, the higher the tax! I didn’t buy any concentrate because I’m stocked up at this point, but my quarter ounce (65$x2) (only allowed get 2 eighths of flower, per person) of lemon sapphire and a box of chocolates (25$) came out to 155$ but THEY ROUND UP! So it was 160$ before tax and after tax was 180$! Bring cash, they charge a 3.00$ fee for debit purchases! But you can split between cash and card if needed! All in all the WERE AWESOME! At moving the line quickly! From start to finish we were there exactly an hour! From the time it opened. 105-125 total minutes counting us arriving early. The place was absolutely gorgeous on the inside and well maintained! But can’t wait for the “bud bar” to open so we can actually have a variety of strains and see what we’re buying before hand as the bags are all closed unless you buy shake, and we all know what that looks like! MY ONLY GRIPE BESIDES SELECTION IS THE LEMON SAPPHIRE IS WET AS HECK! They literally harvested it 2 days ago, and it’s not been properly dried! So INSTEAD of enjoying my purchase, I’m forced to dry it myself! THAT SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE WHEN PRICES ARE THIS HIGH! At 80$-ish an eighth.. I SHOULD HAVE TOP NOTCH 30+% flower that’s ready to be consumed immediately after purchase! But I understand with the amount of business they can only do so much! Other than that, everyone was polite and extremely nice, and let’s be honest, they should be! Their the monopoly around our area right now, and their making insane amounts of money with above premium prices, for below premium quality! 1000 plus people a day, buying that much stuff, they should be stocking top shelf strains for the non medical patients! Enjoy! And my advice. Don’t waste your time right now until they get some better flower in! The lemon sapphire is NOT worth 75-80$ an eighth but ANY stretch of the imagination! But it is 23-ish % flower so it’ll do the trick!! I placed one bud in my dryer to enjoy it sooner than the others, and it’s a smooth strain, milky white smoke, easy on the lungs, not much “fruity” flavor but not a brick weed taste by any stretch! Super average mid tier strain! Nothing more nothing less! Hopefully this answers some questions as no one else did this and took the time! Long time med patient here. Wednesdays are wild here! Lots & lots of rec users and only 1 tender in the small bud bar for us med users. Only the person being tended to was there so a small wait, no biggie. No sooner had the thought go through my mind when Brianna S called me to rec podium and got me out the door with extra goodies. Seems like the Dispensary is back to being its efficient self. Keep up the good work! 👍

I'm a medical patient who was kicked out of this dispensary for a old crazy man trying to fight me. You would think the supervisor would review the audio after weeks of telling him he'll hear the man threatening me. There was a witness behind me who verified the old man started it. I still never touched him. Management at this place needs fired.

The products are outstanding at ascend. I haven't had anything that wasn't it's good and or better then advertise. And product in a way is secondary to the customer service. Products you can get a different places and they're pretty uniform but, customer service is what you go to a place for. You are selling yourself and Retail not the product because they already know the products are but I go out of my way to places where I've been treated in the matter of friendliness and respecting knowledgeable and tactful salespeople. I tell you what, I accompanied in a friend of mine if you wanted to go to a dispensary in sauget area and it was the experience of a lifetime. I wanted to go because I had heard some things about the place that made it the antithesis of ascend. And I was right. I found the showroom of the other place barren and uninteresting and I found the employees when I listend to them talk to different customers, I found them patronizing and one hapless guy was told we're out of his order and instead of apologizing for it it was online as in stock, they said something to the effect of 'we have other things unless you had your heart set on that one' and the way they said it I felt really bad for the guy who was being asked to justify what he wanted and lastly the salesperson says well enjoy all that THC its why we can't keep it in stock cuz it's high in the stuff. Didn't even comment on the fact that he was leaving without it they supposed to visit he got it already but since he had his heart set on the high THC well good luck to you that was the overall feel of what they were saying it and the way other patrons were looking at them i felt that I wasn't the only one that was embarrassed for the guy and the salesperson. How rude and invasive! For all they knew it may or may not be for him but possibly a wife with a painful disease or for his own relief or recreation. One point major here. You do not question a customer about their choices, comment on their purchases either unless it's going to be super complimentary like excellent choice Sir, or I know you'll be pleased with everything we have here if you would let us find something comparable for you. You would try to keep them from leaving . You don't want them to leave unsatisfied, you don't want them to be unsatisfied and you don't want them to leave that way. Work with them and you find out what you can do. None of that was evident with the employees at his sauget dispensary. It was a forgettable name too, have an awkward sounding or awkward feeling name to say. Of the store in sauget, I want to call it hello goodbye or something like that like the Beatles song but I don't think that's it. Enjoy your high thc content if you find it. Oh, and The parking lot in sauget was dirty too! I would never go there again to observe and certainly would never want to purchase anything there, I would not want to contribute to the continuation of that store . I am all the more proud of the team at Ascend I was a novice going In, well I still am, but ascend always make me feel comfortable of my level of knowledge and continue to educate me. the woment that work for ascend at the store in collinsville are absolutely gorgeous! I know that sounds two-dimensional and Politically Incorrect and I could not feel less two-dimensional though and less Politically Incorrect by saying it. Not only are they beautiful women but they are charming and they are tireless and they are dedicated and they are brilliant and witty, and that goes for everyone from the parking lot attendants to the drivers to the driver's license validators to the showroom attendance and the counter people. They're great at what they do and I wouldn't go anywhere else and the men are energetic and informed and like a cross between the university chess team Champs and The A Team. And I would love to work there! I have retired early haven't been in retail myself, and at the moment I have a part-time position that I do love cleaning stalls at a horse stable but I would love to have more to do it's a great feeling to be of use and to be able to do something that you really enjoy which is the products you sell and the retail environment, but I just thought I shamelessly throw my name out there as a hopeful future ascender. And can I just say one more time in a last Politically Incorrect outburst before I end this review, and that is again, I with complete and the most sincere respect, would like to see again that I've never seen so many beautiful women in one place at one time and it's so amazing at what they do. Anyway that's my review and and the review there. I want to get to know politically correct or maybe it is for the correct there's no way to say this other than their so beautiful! And at the risk of sounding even more well actually at the risk of sounding politically correct these days i guess, the men there are very they have a lot of magnet magnetism in their personalities are very let's just say it's a great-looking group of people you have there. I know it's all in the eyes of the beholder but that's what mine see. Okay so I think I covered everything, let's see: the prices are great, the products are great, Management's great ,the customer service is great, the women are gorgeous, charming, natural leaders and brilliant, and the men are a cross between the university Chess club champs, MSTK and the A team. So anyway in conclusion I wouldn't shop anywhere else for any product. And I would love to work there! Do the some nice choices I was able to retire early out of a retail business myself and I work part-time in a stable green horse stalls which I dearly love doing and I really love animals. But I don't get enough time in Erica Illinois time and a Atreyu sitting around watching YouTube is okay for Luther Martha true player but you can get very anxious to learn at least I do to watch it have a job outside of your home serve and in serving I'm served because get that feeling that you can't get in unless you serve and when you're like me if you enjoy doing what you doing getting paid as a bonus necessary phone is because I find a roof and food very necessary at the appropriate times as well as things like running water and be able to turn the water off as well! Okay then for anybody who didn't laugh with it by all probability everybody, I'll leave this parting thought and say don't hesitate to come to ascend and don't feel foolish if you have questions and don't feel Louis if you spend a lot of work don't have hardly any to spend nobody makes you feel anything but good about what you're deciding and I'll think inclusion calendar the only sunroof repair work that with rival working at ascend for supplemental income would be grand piano act different Lobby's in hospitals are directions unities that people could enjoy their stuff like that everywhere and I do it sometimes to Saint Anthony's they of a baby grand there it's at the volunteer gate but I got it by just sitting down at the piano and night when I was visiting somebody that it was down in the East La Vie I just started flying and finally somebody couch I thought they were going to tell me to shut that off cuz it was late but they asked me if I wanted to go back and talk to the Personnel about do you get on a regular schedule cuz they're getting a lot of feedback at night wondering who was that Harahan Melodies they didn't recognize? Anyway just looking uterus everybody

Staff are always AMAZING, products on point, and speed of service always flows smoothly! Love ‘em! *Kimber has a great personality and was fun to work with!

Great service, Lines are short compared to other dispensaries.. I would recommend to shop here but that would make for longer lines..🤣🤣

The worst experience in my life the manager Brittney is a Karen if you are a hispanic stay away from this place I have never been treated so bad like I was and I been coming here for a year never had no problems until she was out in charge treats customers like we are dogs we are here to spend money your job is to help everyone regardless of there race stay away from here go else where we spend to much money on bud and taxes here to be treated like this

As a medical patient, I went to this dispensary for over two years on a weekly basis. It has continued to go down hill. There is no priority of medical patients over recreational patients or even their own employees checking out for the night. Complained to managers twice. No change. Switched to different dispensary. Do not recommend this dispensary!!!

Loved everything. My favorite spot.

On Feb 10 I bought an 1/8 of Sour Purple Chem. Bought buds Not Shake or popcorn or smalls and what I got when I opened it was 1.78 g of powder. I'm a long time customer and couldn't be more disappointed with them as what I paid for is not what I got.

Curbside pick up. Enough said.

Seems like a very well run place. It’s a smooth and easy process to get what you want. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and fun! Ive tried several products and it’s all top shelf 👌

Better than the streets

The staff was so friendly and helpful! The first time I went, I was nervous and they made me feel immediately at ease. The bud tenders were super helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I have had nothing but exceptional experiences here, and I can’t rate them high enough.
