Ascend Cannabis - Laurel

Repeat customer. After recreational sales began in Maryland, my two other former favorite dispensaries really struggled to accommodate the changes. One closed temporarily and another felt like going to a nightclub with a line, to pick up my medical order. Ascend is well run, team members are welcoming and helpful. Ordering and checkout, including using rewards, is a breeze.

I have been coming here every week for over a month and I will keep coming back! Great prices and easy pick up ordering process make it stand out among all the other dispensaries nearby. Employees are always super helpful and the assortment of products is fun to explore. I don’t mind driving a little further to come here. It’s worth the visit!

This has been my go-to place for almost 2 years straight. The staff is amazing, so nice! And the environment is chill, it's not overwhelming which is good for anyone with anxiety. Love this place!

Kind staff. Fast service and great selection with fair prices. Good location too. Close to ALDI giant and Harris teeter. So you can make your order on the phone while checking out of the grocery store and swing by and pick up your cannabis right after. In and out in 5 minutes.

This was my first time and I arrived at 8:37 P.M. and was turned away because I am a new patient. If that's a rule it needs to be well documented. It was a fair skinned black guy who was a bit of a jerk in my opinion but he did give me some good advice which was to go to waave which was still open. I got there at 8:59P.M. and they still registered me and saw me. It was like 5 minutes max in and out. I really like Waave so they yet all the stars. I'm not ever going to come back here! I came from like 40 mins away!

Rang the bell and dude intentionally took his time to open it. He sad down slowly, wiped the desk with his hand and looked around before pressing the button to get in. No greeting! He was engaged in conversation with another consumer so he didn’t acknowledge me at all. He continued his conversation and it was unclear if he has entered my information or not. He eventually gave a thumbs up. While waiting he again took his time opening the door. This time he was already at the desk when the bell rang. He looked around, grabbed a tissue and then opened the door. It was a good 15/20 seconds from the doorbell to opening the door. Not a professional worker and shouldn’t be a representative of this shop💯. I’ve Never had a negative experience but this “fairly new” workers petty ways is discouraging.

TrueWellnessLaurel: This year is finally coming to an end. Treat yourself to something nice! Dont forget, we are closing at 7pm today (so, get your orders in by 6pm if you’re browsing online 😉). To make things even brighter, SPEND $100+ and get a TW LIGHTER! Are U serious I spend a $100+ and all I get is your fake a** Bic Lighter, I guess 1 last fu-. For the end of 2020

I was not expecting much and I went because True Wellness has a "deli-style" set up for the flowers, so I wanted to check it out. But once I started reviewing the extensive list of flowers, concentrates and others, I was really excited especially because they have great bulk prices, star 1. When I placed my order online, a received a phone call from Darryl one of the friendly bud-tenders and he called to let me know that my purchase was not eligible for the deal of the day, I thought that was awesome that he phoned!! I was not expecting to get the deal because I had a hodgepodge of items but still, I thought the phone call was thoughtful and a sign of a good thing, lol, star 2. Once I got there, Darryl was still super nice and I was taken aback of how spacious, lively (music/lighting/screen for photo, etc.) and pleasant the set-up in the lobby, star 3. (Not to say other dispensaries in the area are horrible but they tend to be on the smaller side, pricey, limited selections and dark.) Godwin was my bud-tender (and he pronounced my name correctly!!!) for my order and he was super cool and very knowledgeable about all of the products and he answered all of my questions, star 4. Once in the back it was just as spacious and the displays are all well organized (okay, I am visual and that matters to me lol), star 5. Okay, I love the place, and I don't live close to the dispensary but I have found the one that I will frequent. LOL yes, the layout is visually pleasing, good bulk pricing, one of the largest selection that I have seen and customer service is that great. Check them out. The service, staff, products and attitudes at this dispensary are always exemplary! I've never had an issue at True Wellness Laurel: order products online, notified when the products are done and pick up is easy and quick. This store, from many aspects, could be the poster store for how to do dispensaries properly! Thanks!

I recently got my mmj card so this was the second dispensary I visited after placing an online order with Leafly. The order was filled really quickly which was great. When I got to the dispensary , the person working at the front was very nice and signing in/ filling out paperwork with them was quick and easy( she was in the middle of helping someone submit their application with MMCC, but still assisted me while she was doing that, without missing a beat). I didn’t wait long, even though it was a Friday evening and I assumed it may be busy. The waiting area is not huge but it’s comfortable, and once I was taken back I was impressed by the amount of choices they had. My bud tender was very friendly and knowledgeable and I liked that you can get a gram for $1 as a first time customer! She did a great job with helping me pick out what to try by asking me some questions about the terpenes I like or those I try to stay away from. It was a quick experience since I was just picking up an order , but it was a good experience and I will definitely come back to this dispensary in the future.

Great crew working behind the desk. This is a bar type atmosphere where you can smell the product and then they make the order right there. No prepackaged items.
