I find Medmen’s products & selection decent. Their prices are competitive for mmj and their email deals can really rock. Also, the reception person is always friendly & the place has a chill vibe. My big complaint are their “pharmacists”. I’ve had 2 different ones and neither seems to have even a basic understanding of the pharmacology behind their flower products. I asked for flower suggestions for pain management & they immediately steered me to prepackaged carts, pils, oils etc. When i reiterated that i was looking for actual bud, i got really lame suggestions to check their list for indicas and hybrids and just pick one that sounds interesting … one saying that they are basically the same & the other proclaiming it’s pretty much a crap shoot. In other interactions, i was looking for something to help with sleep. Again, they had no strain suggestions and just told me to pick an indica and one of the guys commented that any of them should “get er done” !!??! Meanwhile, i’ve visited half a dozen or so other shops in recreational states and was extremely impressed every single time. these bud tenders took obvious interest in my issues and were able to make enthusiastic recommendations of products that were likely to work for me based on quantifiable factors like terpene profiles and other factors of chemical composition. Sure, there is a certain amount of “your mileage may vary” based on the difference & complexities of an individual customer’s genetics, physical characteristics, health issues …. but there is also a large amount of hardcore objective SCIENCE behind making a recommendation. Despite MadMen “pharmacists” having access to the chromatography & full spectrum chemical analysis of every product they sell, they seem to have absolutely no interest (or ability) to utilize product knowledge in order to lead customers to a more effective experience with medical cannabis. When NY finally gets its act together in allowing recreational sales, these new shops will absolutely eat complacent retailers in the medical space, like MedMen’s, lunch! So, yes, I’ll shop here again -until there are better options.

Ratings and reviews of MedMen - Syracuse
I was at the N. Syracuse location last week to pick up an order, when I arrived the office was closed, no notice or explanation. I received a call from one of the pharmacists the next day to see if I wanted the order still they had to close the day before because they had "NO STAFF".
Staff is always knowledgeable and helpful.
MedMen has always been a wonderful Dispensary. The people are very nice. It’s a little weird that you have to walk in there and walk to another room, but I guess that’s what they do. New York medical flower is becoming a waste of time and a huge waste of money. New York State is limiting the amount of THC in our medicine. This is not fair and it’s a rip off. I’m so sick of getting dried up useless flower. And it’s not just MedMen. It’s all the dispensaries in New York. Drive to Massachusetts, drive to Maine, and get real cannabis. The garbage we are swindled with, here in New York, should be outlawed. It’s a crime.
