When I walked in I was greeted by a gentleman who asked for for my ID as well as if I was here for medical or Recreational reasons . I responded and then was asked for my I’d. After my I’d being scanned I was given a menu of what was available at the time or wanted to speak with an bud tender. I chose a bud tender so I could 1) get the bud tenders knowledge and/or experience with specific stains 2) see if bud tender was able to answer any questions that may arise. I am a recreational user, yet have an abundant list of nerve and muscle diagnosis that I could explain to the bud tender. She greeted me from the waiting room into the display area. I gave her an explanation of symptoms ranging from muscle spasm to nerve pain in relation to fibromyalgia. She recommended edibles and I responded that I preferred flower for day time use and was interested in a sativa strain as well as a hybrid and indica for night use . She gave me a few referrals but when i prompted percentages in regards to Thc,Cbd, Cbd-V, CBG and so onn she was slightly hesitant for a answer. Her response was yes they have all of that but did not have any numbers . Luckily I did my research prior via Leafly and the satuaries online menu and kind was ready to place an order . She did allow me to view and smell available flower thru a closed container with holes open for smelling the flower as well as a built in magnifying glass to better help the view the terpenes. Not as well as at home magnifying but enough to get a good look. I purchase a prerolled .5 g lemon haze $10, .5 g prerolled super critical $10 and a 1g Pineapple slung $15 . Al and all was $42 total. Checkout Out was at a separate counter and was quick and easy . I was greeted at the exit with a police officer offering me to have a nice day . I don’t feel he made any effect in my purchase just rather keeping all those making purchases and interests safe and efficient. I will give you a review once Ive tried the product . Thanks again for your hard work brining earths natural alternative to today’s pharmaceuticals.

They asked me to write a positive review for an incentive of $5. This motivated me to write an honest review for free. ABRASIVELY OVERBEARING CUSTOMER SERVICE. When you walk in, the front desk check-in is mellow. However, you will immediately be asked what your ailments are upon entry. It would be much better to ask what negative symptoms patients are looking to treat. After this fiasco, you have to meet someone completely different upstairs, who will probably waste an extra 2-5 minutes of your time. This is all made complete with a follow-up phone call regarding the visit (while you are most likely at work). Incorporate a Leafly Pickup option please. THE QUALITY: The only redeeming quality of this place I bought the GDP shatter, Jolly Bean HTPE Shatter, and Sour Amnesia Crystals w/Sauce. The Jolly Bean HTPE shatter is some of the nicest tasting shatter I have ever had from a MA dispensary (better than I.N.S.A, yes). The Sour Amnesia crystals and sauce are much better than the other mediocre MA medical terp sauces I have had (looking at a particular storefront in the Cambridge and Somerville area). The only iffy product I purchased was the GDP shatter. The flavor and effects were all there, however it is quite dark and leaves behind a large amount of plant matter. Price: $$$$/$$$$

Two stars because my first visit was wonderful - I tried the blue cheese, alien rift, and pineapple skunk. Happy with the quality of all three. On my second visit the bud tender strongly recommended tangerine cookies, said it was his favorite hybrid. This flower looks beautiful but each bud has a bunch of seeds and/or seed shells in it. I thought I got a bad batch, this must be a fluke... When I contacted them, they actually tried to tell me that I'm not looking at seeds - but these are "stress pods" that mimic the look of seeds. Seriously? No. This flower came from a hermaphrodite plant, it does have seeds in it, which means it's lower quality than flower coming from a sensimilla plant...but you're still selling, and pushing it on to recreational customers at a premium price. This left a really sour taste in my mouth and I probably won't be back.

I wanted to try their carts versus the other guys. Bad choice! I wanted a Sativa blend and was recommended an indica instead. I purchased a blueberry rift cart and boy was I upset when I got home. They add terps and for some reason chose Apple for a product marketed towards a berry. And the cartridge is all plastic and sealed shut. The majority of the big boys spend the extra $.10 and use ccell, glass and ceramic. I won’t be going back anytime soon that’s for sure.

I have been a patient at Sanctuary for a little over a month now and have to say it is my favorite dispensary so far. What stands out about them is their liquid shatter, which is not available at any other dispensary. They do not make this obvious on their website, but they have vape cartridges that are stronger than any other, and have a decent variety in strains available. Another thing that I appreciate about Sanctuary is their selection in vape cartridges, they have indicas, sativas and hybrids, and their staff is able to tell you which is best for what you're treating. I have always had positive interactions with their staff, they seem to be happy to work there and as a team. They also are passionate about their products and know them well. Their sales are noteworthy, often I have gotten an edible for only $1 with a minimum purchase. Gummies are a little pricey, but they taste much better than many others, they do not have the same odd THC additive flavor like others. Sales are kept current on their Leafly account, and change regularly. I also appreciate their store set up, it is easy to view and smell samples of products. They are the only dispensary I have been to that does not require you to carry your cards and provide them at the register, when they check you in they make note of your information for the register. Their computer system and staff communication seems to be a well developed system.

This dispensary has exemplary service and product! I have been there a few times and I have been in and out in less than 5 min! The product is fantastic and their edibles are both effective and delicious!!! Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other places I have been to! I will definitely be making more stops here as it’s only 10 min from my house!

Great place that is local. taxes are a little high (20%). Hope it goes down at some point.

Very helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere great selection...BUT, and this is a huge but, the flower is dry and impotent. I tried Jolly Bean and it was drier than kindling wood. For premium prices and a 20% tax, there is no excuse not to provide fresh and moist product. Was so impressed and excited until I opened a sealed cannister to find that tumbleweed inside. As a result you will blow through your supply at twice the speed, making the cost to get high outrageously high. Will be trying another dispensary as it’s just not acceptable to pay so much for inferior product. Sorry, just being honest...I REALLY wanted to love Sanctuary but...

Sanctuary's menu has been expanding lately and batches of flower have been coming in with higher THC percentages! The quality of the product is absolutely worth the extra money you pay. The staff are super friendly and helpful and do their best to make sure every customer leaves educated and happy!

I am a medical patient and recreational has changed this store even though I was assured that wouldn’t be the case prior to them offering recreational. No longer offer THC/CBD percentages on menu, budtender provides the wrong information and I’m stuck holding the bag because He is worried about the next wave of recreational customers coming in. I’ll be driving the 10 minutes further from my house in the opposite direction not to have this experience again

I visited this shop for the 1st time a few days ago. I was impressed bc I saw similarities to dispensaries in CO & CA, unlike others in MA. Imagine my dismay when I opened my purple trainwreck & discovered I didn't need a grinder. It was so dry all I have to do is scratch it gently. Is this what we should expect from this place?

I've been a patient for almost 2 years and this is now my favorite dispensary thus far. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and the concentrates I purchased were top-notch. If you've found yourself unhappy with your current dispensary situation, I definitely recommend giving sanctuary a try.

I’m new to medical marijuana so going to a dispensary is a bit overwhelming. I tried Sanctuary in Gardner and was not disappointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Cali was my bud tender and took time to explain and answer my questions. The facility is nice and they seem to have a good variety of product. I made selections based on her recommendations. I will definitely go back and will happily recommend them. They’re starting recreational sales on Wed and I wish them well. They assured me that there will be special access and service for their medical patients. Thanks Cali!

The staff is top notch, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The blue cheese flower is phenomenal! Good vibe and atmosphere. it is a very welcoming and clean facility. I'm a weekly customer and have been since their opening.

Amazing, friendly staff and great range of products (flower, edibles and concentrates). Great location, ample parking, a nice addition to central MA. Flower was a tad dry (as others have mentioned), I think if they switch their packaging it would remedy that. Potency wasn’t effected though which at the end of the day is all that matters. Overall, I wish them great success.
