Prices have gone sky high. After going to this dispensary for three years, I can say it has changed. Up until recently you could phone in your order for pick up. Upon arrival they called to the back to say the patient is there. Well no longer. There is no reason to call ahead because they only take you back first come first served. When I asked about it after waiting fifteen minutes, the new tall guy standing at the counter doing nothing while 8 unmasked patients stand around was rude af. They no longer give precedence to those who call ahead. So after waiting 15 minutes in the Covid Petri dish, yes I was the only one with a mask, I left. Tried ordering the same pickup for curbside but site wouldn’t allow it. Them I called and after 40 minutes with nobody picking up I gave up. The new woman signing people in was sssssooooooo slow. When I told her I had a call in order she didn’t acknowledge it or call back. It’s a shame because they used to have great employees….both the girl and guy out front today have me looking at Bloom in painesville and rise in downtown. I don’t mind paying prices that are as high as they are if the customer service matches. There is a serious mismatch when you raise your prices and have front line employees who had to be stoned as they obviously could care less about the patients waiting around. This is what happens when the job market favors the worker….places scramble for any help they can get.

I really only go here because it’s the closest to me. The prices are ridiculously high which I guess is expected for Ohio but I’d rather drive several hours to Michigan or stock up than keep wasting money here. Plus they are never consistent, some products more full than others.
The staff is super friendly but majority do not know anything. I’d rather get transparency than go home not with the right one for my needs. They usually have to look up information to tell me “oh this is Indica” like ok thank you we established that
Tolerance is super high but carts from here last 40 minutes at most? edibles have a disgusting pot taste and need chasers

I purchased 4 vape cartridges and topical cream today. This was my 1st time purchasing at The Botanist. I opened 1 cartridge to find that it’s less than half filled. It was Purple Punch Birthday Cake. To say I’m not a very happy customer is an understatement. I’m thankful I read up on what products I wanted because no one was very informative on products for specific medical issues. I’ll hope that the other cartridges are filled. I think next time I’ll go to another dispensary.

After getting over the sticker shock (I know...supply and demand) I recently purchased a bottle of Tincture from their menu which was placed in a bag with my name on it and off I went. All of the Botanist's products except grinders, vaporizers, & some strains are kept from view. When I got home I took the sealed box out of the bag and looked at the packaging. I try and avoid any types of sugars so when I saw that the tincture had Agave in it along with others ingredients that were not listed on the menu, I kept the box sealed and returned the next day for an explanation on why all of the ingredients had not been disclosed on the menu. No one including the manager seemed to be concerned about the labeling or should I say lack of disclosure of all the ingredients for this product on their menu. The manager explained, "We are just like a pharmacy. Once you take the product out of the building, you can't return it." I explained that if I had known that there were other ingredients in their product then I could have made an informed decision and I would have not purchased the Tincture. Management told me that the Botanist is governed by the Board of Pharmacy but she did not address my concerns leaving me feeling that they can and do [the Botanist] basically wash their hands after the sale. This Board of Pharmacy which reminds me of the "The Cloud"-no one knows see it or knows where it is-allows the Botanist to hide behind it's curtain. And apparently the Board allows a Dispensary not to disclose all of the ingredients on their menu. Interesting since this is a MEDICAL dispensary not your local head shop. To add insult to injury the tincture's rubber stopper leaked making it unusable. I was in the area and stopped in to see if I could get another stopper. Wrong again. "We don't have any spare parts. We just sell the product." And sell the product they do-at $120 a bottle. When the Botanist first opened, I had the pleasure of meeting Kate who introduced herself as one of the owners. She was very helpful so I asked the manager for Kate' email. Kate seemed like the type of business owner that would want to know that their menu was lacking valuable information. I sent the email on 4/27/2019 and asked that she review my concerns and requests. As of today (5/8/2019) I haven't received a reply. I'm sure her inbox is flooded with emails so I am holding out that she'll reach out and address these concerns. Bottom line and fair warning: If you go the the Botanist make sure to inspect the product before you leave the room because if you have an allergy to Agave or any other unlisted ingredients and you trusted the menu, you may be in for a trip to the ER.

I went in shortly after they opened up. I've waited a while to write this review because I didn't want to just bash the place. I'll say this, the guys at the reception desk were great.They got you 5 stars for service. The process took a while but you only have to deal with it once, I hope. I've not been back. The woman who was assigned to me as a bud tender had zero knowledge of cannabis. She couldn't even quote the information packet they give you when you sign up. The folder is great, it should become a standard. She just wanted to push something at me and get the next schmuck in there. She cost you 2 stars. I got the 92 Cookies and found mature seeds in the nugs. The container was half shake as well. The NL I bought was mid shelf. I'm seriously disappointed with OH, the situation they've put every one in with the BS and I'm disappointed in all the dispensaries selling this crap as medicine. If you won't even stand up for the product you sell how the heck are we, as PATIENTS suppose to trust you?? You sell moldy and seeded weed,not Cannabis.

The Botanist staff at all 5 locations are the most knowledgable and geniune group of cannabis supporters you will find in an Ohio dispensary.
First time patients should make their nearest Botanist their educational destination.
Biggest and most varied menu in the game as well!
Accept no less than the best - shop Botanist!

Good thing is that is close to home and it's a really good quality. First time when I visited, I had much better experience than today. Today when I came there they took my card and ID at the front desk, and after waiting for more than 20 minutes, I got tired of waiting and I asked them to give me back my ID and card and left. I returned after hour and a half later and they took care of me really fast. I got myself one tenth of the sweety and one tenth of velvet blush and when I came home, after I messured it myself I was shorted .3 of velvet blush. Even tho that they're expensive they still shorten people on their stuff. Maybe next time I should just bring my own scale and check it right then and there so everyone is happy.

Updated review. I did one of the first reviews on this place shortly after they opened. As with many of the dispensaries in Ohio, the prices are coming down quickly. They also seem to be offering many more specials. Staff is knowledgeable. Parking lot needs some work though. Big pot holes, limited parking. Waiting area is a bit cramped.

Very professional. Very nice back room. I believe it’s priced fairly and so far the three times I’ve been there they’ve had exactly what I’ve wanted. Everyone that’s helped me has been very educated and informative.

If you like paying 10 times the going rate in any other state for distillate, this is your place. Everybody was very nice and helpful, the place is beautiful but once again, highway robbery. It's vile how they are taxing patients, they will fail if they can't give patients a fair price. First and last time I will step foot in there. I left empty handed. Make the trip to Michagin.

I worked with Bryan. He was knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I had lots of questions about the products, strains and delivery methods, but he was great each step of the way. Quality product, priced slightly high, but very effective. I have been to a few others, and this was my favorite.

Quality product, quality staff who really listens to your questions. But you need to get edibles SOON. Also, the prices are pretty horribly high. In comparison states, you can get much more for much less. You REALLY need to bring your prices down for the amount of produce you get. In case you didn’t hear me the first time, YOU REALLY NEED TO LOWER YOUR PRICES OR IT WILL EVENTUALLY BE THE DEATH OF YOUR STORES!
