I smoke less of this, and tend to sit around thinking about things...  it sneaks upon you too.  Morning coffee and a bowl and it's noon already. 
  Mine is very fresh without a strong odor.  Not a strong taste, not much tar or resins.  I honestly didn't expect this buzz from this product.   Very mellow.
