Durban Poison reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Durban Poison.
Durban Poison is my go to daytime strain. I'm a lightweight medical user. I smoked in my younger years, but then didn't touch cannabis again till now. I'm 54. DP is an upbeat strain I can use during the day and still function and get things done. Many other sativa strains get me too stoned and then I have to go lay down. DP doesn't do this to me. Next on my list to try is Jack Herer.
This strain is great! Does not leave me with that dopey sit on the couch feeling. It actually wakes me up and gives me a clear headed followed by a jolt of motivation. Really great day time or if you just want to chill type of feeling! The smell is great sort of on the sweet earthy side. Now the taste is smooth and tastes like regular bud. I enjoy this strain!! one of my favorites!!!
plus +420 to productivity
Maybe it’s because I used a CO2 cartridge, but Durban Poison did not live up to the hype for me. I thought it would help me focus, stay awake, and crank out some creativity. It’s more of a gauze over my brain. I want to lay down and just be. It made me tired, but not enough to fall asleep. I was not focused or productive. It did help me survive a long frustrating road trip (not driving). It’s clearly a popular strain and works for a lot of people. That just wasn’t my experience. I’ll put it in the “numb, but not paralyzed” category.

The polite way to describe how this strain smells would be "very earthy". Once you get past the smell though, it gives you a very relaxed high.
Love this strain. It's energetic! If you want to clean your place up in the most exciting fashion or maybe go for a good walk and love the world, then this is your jam! Taste is beautiful too, like spiced candy with hints of licorice and musk. It's not heavy, the ideal daytime smoke, good creative energetic strain. Love it.
Very nice. Tastes beautiful. Very clear headed. Gives you some energy. Really like this strain. Haven’t had it in a while and just a an Ilera oil cart of it. Def. happy with my purchase. Thought it was a indica or indica leaning. But very much a sativa. Then again the whole indica/sativa thing could be nonsense. But using that scale. Def. a nice sativa, but heavy hitter too. Not sure if high doses have the same affect.
It is one of my favorite strains, and hits you quick. I have clinical depression and this strain of sativa miles it, and brings out happiness. Dry mouth is a high %, but as a pot smoker, I've gotten used to it over the years. 25% THC average from where I stand and see most of it. it does have a high grade zip of energy, and helps relieve headaches and muscle pain with a relaxing and smooth body buzz. I highly recommend for medical patients, and for recreational users, who don't have a card
