The concerts of the 70’s: Van Halen, Journey, AC/DC, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd…and the skunk was in attendance at all. Sure, there are other tasty options out there, but the skunk is the one that takes me back. Spin up a vinyl on the turntable, lite one up and you’ll see what I mean.
Honestly I was pretty disappointed with it's lack of skunk terps. I know it's bred out but after smoking Island Sweet Skunk. This one felt like a bit of a let down
Calms me and makes me enjoy my day
Takes about 30min to take hold, but hits hard when it does. It's not a harsh high, but more intense than run of the mill sativa. It's old school in the best way.
In regards to the post saying that the old school skunk 1 is still around or is the same he is sadly mistaken. If you can produce me a sample that is anywhere close then do it. The Dutch seed banks used it to make a lot of nice strains but since there are no real skunks in Europe the people there do not know what skunk smells like. Skunk is a rodent animal that puts off a foul odor to defend itself from pray. The seed banks there do not have a true breeding skunk 1 and I think it is in part 1 David Watson aka Sam Selenzy aka Sam the Skunk man stole the strain from the sacred seed collective when it was raided in California and took it to Holland. He was a junior member of Sacred seeds and was not a master breeder. I think he was a DEA agent but good luck trying to find that info. I find it funny that after the sacred seed collective was raided David Watson went to Holland and was given the permission to grow. The start of the cannabis cup brought all the big cannabis cultivators together at once and the DEA had began Operation Green Merchant. In 1990 or 91 Neville was arrested in Australia and the United States was trying to extradite him but after a year I believe he made bail and fled back to Europe in which Watson supposedly had taken all the skunk 1 stock. I know people who ordered seeds from the seed bank of Holland in the late 80s and when the early 90s orders were purchased I was told the seeds still had quality but they were all mixed up. Skunk 1 does still exist I believe but only a lucky few have her.
