There wasn't nearly the variety in most areas 30 years ago, and the only time I had skunk growing up was around 1994, when a Skunk variety came around for about a year. It was wonderful; some of the most giggly and best body high weed I've ever had. As time passed, I eventually thought and realized that I hadn't seen or had any type of skunk weed in 20 years, and I wondered where it was. It wasn't until I moved to a weed-legal state that I found a batch of Skunk 1. I was excited to try it, as it it smelled and looked the closest to what I remembered compared to anything else I had seen over the years. It came in around 22%, was excellent, and gave the same giggly uplifted feeling coupled with the same relaxed body high. It was stoney and gets you baked, and it tasted like skunk and tar, with undertones and notes of sweet and flowery lemon tea kush. This strain always leaves me feeling great overall in mind and body. It's good afternoon and early evening weed, for creating, nature, and parties. However, it still wasn't exactly the same as the 1994 version I had. I'm not sure of course if what I had originally was Skunk 1 or something very close, or how true the 2022 Skunk 1 I had was to what it's supposed to be, but this was still the closest in 28 years to what I had in 1994 and identified as Skunk. The main differences I noticed were that the 1994 version I had was the same but even stronger, it smelled slightly more like the wet skunk-weed plants you find in many marshy areas, had a tad more diesel taste, and the buds in the past were slightly flatter with more black square patches in them which really stood out at the time. It's one of my favorite strains and I love when any Skunk 1 or similar strains come around. Of course I'm still hoping to find that old one or relative too.

I would have given skunk number one a rating of five out of five if the flavor and sent wasn't too strong. The musky overtones really helps with the depression the energetic levels of stress and your mood if you want to get out in the day nows the time to do it. It's a very dry mouth it helps a lot with how you feel mood disorders.I sense that this is a creeper for sure if you get higher sticky but the more of a creeper it's going to be but it's a very relaxing creeper kind of like Alcopoco Gold.

Top 3. No doubt I could hit this strain all day. It’s so old school. Even smells like the 80’s northern cali had it going on still. Perfect size buds that are pretty easy to grow and harvest. AAAA+++++

Migraine pain 5; nausea 5 when I medicated round 1730 or so. Takes bout 5-10 min to start working. Pain/nausea gone. Head high very nice but a lil heavy; slowed down which is really weird for a Sativa. Still quite nice & no anxiety/paranoia which is a must for me. Body high lasting longer than a typical Sativa too; still no pain/nausea after over 3 hours! I guess every strain is a hybrid on some level. Tastes spicy which I don't see very often; nice change of pace. Highly recommend for after work/evening/weekend use! :-)

Body high exactly what I needed; still no pain/nausea 3 hours later (which is usually 2-2.5 hours for a Sativa dominant). Wouldn't use this strain too close to bedtime. No anxiety/paranoia (a must for me). Highly recommend for daytime use for pain/nausea! :-)

Where did you go, my love? I've searched you all this time but to no avail. I haven't encountered Real USA Skunk #1 from the 90s in a lifetime. It feels. Putrid, funky, odiferous skunk butt. I'm not sure if the war on drugs is the culprit or if the genetics got bred out. Either way, I hope you make a comeback.

The original! In my opinion, it is my favorite strain of all time. There is nothing like it. Skunk has similar mind effects to the Hazes, but less potent. The body effects are mostly euphoric, with it being a great strain for lounging, socializing, adventuring, getting creative, or the erotic. The smell is the most inviting dank on the planet! I have to bote, as others have, that Skunk #1 is just as good as it was at least 15 years ago, and many old-school growers have been growing this strain since the 80's or longer. To note, my favorite strains in order ar: Skunk #1, Special Queen #1, Super Silver Haze, Jack Herrer, Maui Waui, Durban Poison, and Sour Diesel. Probably gives up my age a bit, but if you like any of these strains or their descendants, give Skunk a shot!
