I have been enjoying the Tropicana Cherry from POW in Ohio, and it has quickly become one of my favorite go-to daytime sativas. It's an example of a strain that is very simple and very good - smells like cherry & citrus nestled in a hazy bed of terpinolene, with a very energizing and (functionally) euphoric high. It's a joy to smoke, such a nice cherry citrus flavor, and the high goes straight to your head and heart - the head is activated, the heart is beating faster, and you just feel like doing something. It's a great one to smoke if I'm going to lift weights or when I go hiking, I never smoke it if I want to chill because it's definitely not a "chill" sort of high. It's racy and it doesn't take much, only a small bowl; any more than that and I would be bouncing off the walls with a horrible headache.

Trop Cherry reviews
In my experience it is quite hard to find such a sativa leaning purple strain (it's way more purple than it is shown on leafly), and I love it. I like sativa for it's ability to keep me busier throughout the day and I love purple strains for their taste - Trop Cherry is both combined. Doesn't smell unusually amazing, just like most purple strains, while the taste is noticeably sweeter than most strains I've ever tried and stays through most of the joint. Effects are energizing, creative, zero anxiety or any adverse effects actually. Top shelf.
Got an 8th of Highway Hotel's. Honestly some of the best I've gotten from my dispensary and it was also the cheapest. The bud is super pretty with some purpling and bright orange pistils. Very sticky! When you put it to your nose it bursts with orange and citrus scent. It then has a sort of sour-y spicy undertone like if nutmeg was just the tiniest bit tangy? It smoked pretty well, a little fast but I was in a rush when I rolled so that could also contribute. As I write this I can feel myself relaxginf from what was first a very bright and energetic strain. I did not have anxiety even though I'm pretty prone, but I read about that possibly being a concern so i put a tiny tiny bit of cbd kief in my joint it to soften the edges. Highly recommend for those who are a little sensitive, but I would feel comfortable going without. All in all I liked this a lot and I would definitely get it again. I feel like this would be a really good anytime smoke, possibly even a daily driver for those who like a little sativa edge. Could also be a nice pick me up when you're not quite ready for the night to end but don't want to go anywhere either lol.
More purple than green..doesn’t smell or taste like any other purple strain I’ve tried ..not a loud smell at all but hit strong..taste like it smells..light cherry but earthy 🔥🔥🔥
Very minty and herby in smell. I like it! It barely allows for smoke inhale, though. I felt like I had to constantly relight.
Flavor and aroma-wise, this strain is honestly amazing. The smoke tasted really good, sweet cherry, but also kind of woody, and I even got a slight cinnamon-like vibe from it. After grinding it, the smell was super strong and fresh, almost like pomelo/grapefruit citrus. Very flavorful and “clean” tasting overall. Effects-wise, it didn’t really suit me. It’s a very head-focused, sativa-leaning high, and it hit pretty fast. I ended up getting strong derealization, my vision felt kind of “laggy,” and I got muscle twitching, shaking, goosebumps, and a fast heartbeat. Basically, I greened out even though I’m experienced. And to be clear I’m not a beginner,I’m a very experienced smoker, with a solid tolerance, and I’m used to trying a lot of different strains (including stronger and more “heady” ones). So this definitely caught me off guard. I’m pretty sure I also overdid it (big hits and all that🥹), and I was tired, which probably made it worse. I’m also more of an indica person, so this type of energetic cerebral high just doesn’t match my brain that well. BUT!!!! That said, I can totally see why people love it. my friend actually felt great on it and had a really positive high. I’d just recommend not overdoing it, especially if you’re sensitive to paranoia or dissociation. Overall: Incredible terps and flavor, very potent effects, but definitely a strain you should respect , even if you’re experienced.
Tastes like red fruit and the high is very peaceful with gentle music and some sunlight after rain. Sometimes I realize how medicinal marijuana works against depression. I'm grateful for the plant and I'm busy with legalization.
While I LOVE the terpene profile.. I’m not sure what it is but every time I dab trop cherry (no matter the cultivar/extractor) I get muscle spams.. the high is nice.. for a sativa it’s the ONLY one that doesn’t get me anxious or give me anxiety which is what I suffer a lot from. The mouth stain is my favorite part.. sweet, gassy, and fruity. Biggest reason why I only give it 2 stars is because of the constant muscle spasms I get throughout the day after smoking dabs of it.
