Pistil

The reproductive organ of the female cannabis plant. In cannabis, as well as other plant species, pistils are composed of three parts: a stigma, a style, and an ovary. Pistils and their parts receive pollen from male plants and change color as the plant matures. Pistils are often confused with stigmas, which are hairs that grow out of pistils to receive pollen from male plants.

“This Red Congolese plant has insane orange pistils.”

“I confuse pistils and stigmas in cannabis all the time, but they’re aren’t interchangeable.”
