Harlequin reviews
If anyone ever tells you that this plant is not a true medicine, have them try some of this one. I have chronic shoulder right pain and chronic pancreatitis (also on the upper right of the abdomen) and when they flare up, especially at the same time, the pain can be absolutely depressing and day-ruining. distracting. horrible. i also have PTSD and generalized anxiety and a lot of strains give me panic attacks. i have to be careful about what I pick out but I know what to look for after much trial and error. This strain just melts it all away but also allows me to work and conversate with customers and coworkers (I'm a barber) in a far more fluid manner. multi-tasking becomes a breeze. i swear i get bigger tips when I have just taken a couple of rips off this strain. i bought two more carts after trying two puffs off my pen. I'd like to shake the hands of the fine folks who created this one. God bless. 👊
So I've been doing research lately on marijuana in general to help pain as well as help with motivation. I have 2 severely herniated discs in my lower spine and at time the pain becomes unbearable. I'm 26 and wanted to avoid narcotics/prescription meds for pain (I haven't found one that helps at this time). The first hit I had off the cartridge the only way I can explain it is it's as if it just got full and disappeared after years of pain and losing the ability to do simple tasks to have something so simple change that in a matter a mear minutes almost had me in tears as well as the pain relief i experienced instant clear mindedness and "oomph". My husband also tried this after 15 years of not smoking due to extreme paranoia and depersonalization he tried this after seeing the effects on me and he had instant results that once again had me almost in tears. My husband has struggled with extreme lack of motivation and took a year off work to focus on finding a medication that helped. I counted 25 different prescriptions he tried that had little to no effect on him. He has been so frustrated and depressed over the lack of help from prescriptions he's tried over the last year especially... he said it seemed like nothing would help and was losing help until yesterday. I had purchased this carriage after doing some research on higher CBD lower THC carriages and he bit the bullet and tried it. After one little puff it was like my old husband was back just like that . We were just getting home from a grocery run and he noticed our mini fridge in our room could use cleaning and he just started it. This may seem simple but especially the last year I've witnessed him struggle to just get out of bed,to shower, brush his teeth etc. the mini fridge was just the start he started a new job today and was actually excited about it instead of laying in bed wanting to call in and say forget it. He was up and ready to go before I came back in with breakfast before he left. As a wife watching my husband struggle so much with this with little to no hope of any answers of help anytime soon... To see this change after using it once... Just once has me so happy beyond words. This could change everything for him.. for us and our future. I highly recommend this strain to those who have chronic pain like me (it's also helped my mood I have multiple mental diagnosis and it's stabilized my mood more then my prescriptions ive been on for years) and those who struggle with motivation to do anything. This has changed our lives for the better already after just one day.
Goes straight to the head, creates thought and arousal in the brains. Good focus, relaxing.
This is, for me, a nearly perfect strain. The main issue for which I medicate with cannabis is chronic pain. A lot of strains, especially heavy indicas, will help me ignore the pain. Some other strains will transmute some of the pain, making me sense it as more of a tingling sensation. Very few strains actually get rid of the pain altogether. Harlequin is one of those strains. Using surprisingly little, my neck, back, joint, and arthritic pain just melt away for a bit. My muscles relax more than with harlequin they ever do when I take my prescribed muscle relaxant every night. As a high-CBD strain and a sativa-dominant hybrid, the head high, if there is any (more likely with concentrates than flower, in my experience) is light, clear, and energetic - I can still work without feeling at all impaired. Between the relaxed muscles and the reduced pain, I'm much more flexible and mobile than usual. It makes it easier to do chores around the house and work on various physically-intensive projects. While I'm loose, limber, and not hurting, my body tends to naturally re-align itself a bit better. By halfway through my high, my I'll often notice that my posture has gotten a bit better and my spine a bit straighter than is usually possible given how tense and spastic my muscles can get. Doing some stretching or yoga helps enhances this re-alignment (for lack of a better term). And the positive changes carry on for a few hours to a day after my high ends, before things start tensing up again.
This is a medicinal strain. I'd say it definitely has some recreational value, especially if you're sensitive to THC and tend to get anxious on cannabis (like me), if you use enough of it, but with all the CBD, it'd probably take some work to get blasted from this stuff. But mostly, it just does a remarkably job of making me and those I've shared it with functional and pain-free for a little while. If I'm using it at night for whatever reason, it'll absolutely mess with my sleep if I've used it within a couple hours of going to bed. So that's maybe something to watch out for. If only I could find a sleepy indica that worked this well for my pain.
My one "complaint" is that this stuff is ridiculously difficult to find, at least out where I live.
I was recommended this for my ulcerative colitis and it was the first weed strain I actually enjoyed. I used to make it into edibles, and this seems to be the best way for me to use it medicinally - I would eat one and feel no effects other than pain relief, but the pain relief would last a day or two.
When I smoked it instead, it was really fun for hanging out with friends - a subtle high, a bit euphoric and giggly without feeling stoned. The pain relief didn't last as long, but it came on fast.
I never smoke weed because it gives me crippling anxiety, especially in social settings. But this stuff is the bees knees. I’ve never smoked a strain like this before. Still gets you stoned, but no anxiety or paranoia whatsoever and that’s saying something coming from me. Total functional mild high, great for just chilling and great for doing misc tasks. Makes me talkative, energetic, happy, giggly, but also laid back, relaxed and focused if I need to be. Weed gives my boyfriend anxiety sometimes too, but we smoked Harlequin together on the weekend together and we absolutely loved it. I’d give this stuff more than five stars if I could.
It’s like cherubs picked me up by my nipples and gently set me down on a pillowy cloud. Highly recommend.
This is a great strain for someone who has had issues smoking in the past. It's not an intense high and it keeps me fairly clear-headed. It puts me a better mood without anxiety or other debilitating effects. I recommend!
