Grabbed an eighth from Green Apple up in Brooklyn yesterday (among 4 other strands), came back home after a fun but long day running around the city with my 2 y/o for his bday. Had a bit of a headache the whole day that never materialized into anything debilitating, just like a storm off in the distance. This was the only one in a sealed bag instead of a jar, and felt kinda dry like it was old. Figured I’d try what I thought was the worst of my haul first and cracked open the bag. Immediately hit with a tropical breeze of strong berry and pineapple aroma, which took me back to my first and only trip to Hawaii as a kid. The buds were small and indeed a bit dryer than I’d prefer, but the scent gave me hope it was still somewhat fresh. Rolled up about .5g in a joint, took about 8 pulls and felt that “oh yeah, you’re stoned to the bone” feeling lol. Sat in front of my sp 404 mk II and said to myself “try to come up with or add to at least one idea.” Wound up laying bass lines for 5 ideas I’d been struggling with for weeks, wrote half a verse to one, and got lost in the rhythmic intricacies of another simple drum pattern I’d made a while back. I couldn’t stop thinking of how simple yet cool it sounded, just being ever-so-slightly off the beat and the equivalent of my musical heartbeat (my spiritual tempo, so to speak…yes I realized I was high out of my mind while doing it lol). Realized about an hour in that my headache had completely faded away. Didn’t go to sleep till 5am, woke up at 7:30 still stoned but weirdly energized, cooked breakfast for the fam and re-listened to what I’d worked on the night before. Only one sounded really good, but I could see where I was going with the others. At nearly 2pm, I can still feel the effects. If you’re a musician/producer/writer, especially if you’re in a slump, take a few hits of this and go tackle that one piece you’ve been struggling with. It’s like your brain will forget all the inhibitions, self-deprecation, and unoriginality we’re at times plagued with, and just go with the flow.

I first tried Maui Waui sometime in the 199os. I smoked a small bowl with my best bud at the time which was probably three hits each. We smoked in the car sitting in front of a video store so if you know what that is I'm dating myself. It hit me almost immediately. I was so flipping baked it was unbelievable. I don't think I've ever been that high on any type of flower other than a couple years ago when I smoked Kush Cake. I went in to pick a movie while my buddy stayed in the car for some reason. If I remember correctly thinking about it I think he said he was way too stoned to get out of the car and go in the video store. So I went in myself. I was so stoned that when I walked into the video store to choose a VHS tape to watch lol again dating myself, I had tunnel vision and was not even sure where I was. I knew I was in a video store staring at a wall full of videotapes but the dizziness euphoria, just goofy happy feeling, and swirling tunnel vision made me not sure that I was really standing there looking at video tapes. It was the weirdest experience I've ever had not to mention one of if not thee best. It tasted great; was extremely lung expanding that caused an - if it ain't a good choke then it ain't a good smoke - cough; lasted a long time (2+ hours which in the 90's was about 3 to 4 times longer than I was used to); and just gave me the most incredible high I've ever experienced. To this day it is still one of my two best experiences with cannabis flower. If you can find real Maui Waui then you need to get your hands on it. Mind you, it is not for beginners. If you are not used to getting high especially on sativas then you want to stay away from this stuff. Or maybe put a bit in with some indica. Otherwise you're going to be out of your mind stoned. Mind you that's not a bad thing but if you aren't used to it you're going to flip out! Stay up and have a great holiday everyone.

I only use for medical purposes, and have to say that this is the best medication for depression I have ever come across. Also great for PTSD. Bonus: good tastes great, social settings are magical, and my lungs feel like they have a super power to take in large amounts of oxygen all at once. This strain boosts mood instantly, which even with a low dose as I prefer, lasts for several hours even following the effects of the THC. I love this strain because it only takes a little, and I can always count on it to get the job done. I can really see the recreational allure of this one, although it is perfect for my mental needs. Recommend for any vet or even non-vet dealing with PTSD or MDD.

I had a dab cart from Columbia Care in Monroe OH and it was pretty solid great for during the day or wake and bake lot of hyper energy mixed with being focused so anything that comes to thought your trying to do trust me it’ll get done great for motivation as well if you struggle with it (I don’t I’m just saying it made me more motivated than I already am) if your dealing with a pain in the ass co worker or some naggy girlfriend or parent at home or whatever it may be trust me this one makes you zone out as well and ignore all the daily drama from how focused/creative it makes your mind your zoned in and daydreaming every thought and you’ll have a slight body tingle with it but you really can’t feel it heavy it’s just faintly there feels like you had 1 beer at lunch lmao! Which makes it great for little back or aches or tooth aches and what not cause it’s like taking 2 Advils with that slight body buzz makes pain go away Nicly

Very nice head high, felt like a rubber band was squishin my head. Relaxing, nice after a long hard day. Good for listening to music or playing videogames. Wasn’t really a fan of the flavor though, seemed a touch harsh and did give me cotton mouth something fierce. I personally couldn’t really taste the ‘tropical’ flavor, but I do think it leaned fruity. Like a fruit funk. Like an apple that’s been on the branch too long, and is starting to ferment a lil. Not bad just not my thing.

The O-Geez brand tends to be on the clearance rack because people are sleeping on this. When I can't get Bay Dream or Super Lemon Haze, this is my motivational weed, executive function in smokable form. Yes, it's talky weed, can you tell? Great for churning out first draft material, getting the laundry done, and editing a scene in sketch form to completed draft.
