Sour Diesel reviews
I FINALLY got my hands on some Sour D. Had a co-worker rant and rave about it being his fav strain growing up.
I want to say that this is a tough smoke for my pallet. I typically like spicier, BC heavy strains both because I like that small peppery shot on the the first rip... but this one the taste lives up to the name... It's diesel-y, and sour on top of the pepper. It's honestly a tad on the yuck side for me. That's why no 5th star.
Beyond the taste... I can see why he called it an "ideal strain". I'm well lit, but not completely floating... and I'm well body buzzed for comfort and relaxation... but not SO much that I'm velcroed... EXCELLENT high. Hit's you more behind the eyes than the head, so relaxation heavy, less stimulating. The body is just ever so softly buzzing. My limbs are lose, but I'm by no means DRIVEN to chores. Maybe that comes after the peak? All in all, this is a dope strain. Very similar to the way Purple Haze and Pineapple Express give you that buzzed body-losened limbs and slightly drops the shoulders. I'm more in the mood to cut on some music and cut a rug than to get cleaning... excellent vibe for a Sativa. Just...HEED the name if your pallet is like mine...not quite top 5... might crack my top 10 SATIVA strains. VERY good, but not quite memorable.
This is the only review I’ve ever left and I’ve been using cannabis medicinally for the past few years and used to use it a lot when I was younger. This strain I remember being a favorite of mine way back in the earlier 2000s. I hadn’t been able to find it in my area recently or at least not from a solid company. I finally found both flower form and rosin form recently from Seattles private reserve and this is without a doubt the best strain I have found to date. If used in very very small amounts it is perfect for an early morning start to your day and keeps me in a great mood from a very small amount essentially all day. For me it’s best as an early morning herb as it has really long legs on it and it’s not one that I would want to try and fall asleep to. It’s not tact or wiry but it’s just a very strong and long head my type feel where I feel perfectly content. Great for anxiety and depression in smaller amounts. I used it through my dry herb vapes. This would be the only herb I would use for my mornings if I was able to consistently get it as there’s really nothing else that can compare to it for just overall contentment. Gets me really motivated for the day as well. I’m not someone who uses it recreationally really but it is fun for that as well, but for me it’s just the perfect early morning medicine that I only need to use once and I’m in a great mood the rest of the day.
Long time toker, I favor high THC strains, sativas and sativa hybrids are my morning starter strains. I suffer from chronic pain and high tolerance has been a problem when looking for strains that will quiet the throbbing. Sour diesel gives me quick euphoria but lets me be clear eyed at the same time. That sounds like a contradiction but it's why I return to sour diesel when I can find it. It doesn't burn the throat when delivered in a vape. I don't know about flavor, it's not really what I care about when I'm seeking relief for symptoms created by arthritis. I've stopped all narcotics, I don't need them anymore and they are poison anyway. It's also a good social strain, no paranoia that I've experienced. Moderate munchies demanding something salty (or a chocolate sundae). All in all, I understand why it's so iconic.
So I recently picked up a quarter of "East Coast Sour Diesel", grown by Grand Crossing in Michigan. 27% test. I've been smoking since high school in 1998 and I can tell you that from the first time I smoked this cut of ECSD, I knew it was my favorite strain. Sativas are my first love in cannabis and this Sour Diesel is exactly what I've always wanted in a potent sativa high: it's strong, stony, and psychedelic but it also has this other side where it puts you into this calm, relaxed, zen-like state, and you are perfectly OK with how stoned you are. It's an extremely potent, stony and psychedelic sativa that isn't racy and it doesn't make you anxious or paranoid, and the buzz has legs. This is weed that makes me want to put on my headphones and listen to Mozart or Pink Floyd for hours, or to sit out stargazing at night, but I also see where it would be great to share with friends. The nose on this excellent flower is a pungent combination of grapefruity diesel fumes and lemony nail polish remover, so strong and sooo good! Has that grapefruit/jolly rancher/sour patch kids sort of taste, I love it so much, reminds me of the taste of Gelonade. But there's a very good reason that Sour Diesel is so widely regarded as the greatest strain ever, or certainly one of the greatest sativas at the very least. More companies in more legal states need to be growing this Sour Diesel, everybody is going to want it! But I understand it's kind of a finicky plant that's kind of a PITA to grow.
When i smoked this i was at an edm music festival. It definitely made me enjoy the music that much more. I was feeling the base from the speakers more and the energy around the crowd was fantastic. It made me talk to so many random people i mean i wouldve did it anyways without this because im naturally outgoing and an extroverted type of person but it made this part of the experience 5xs more enjoyable. I only gave it a 4 star instead of 5 stars because of the taste being so chemically and also the high didnt last as long maybe cause i was also drinking while doing this or i was just sweating it all out i dont know but good strain regardless. Highly recommend for those who are seeking a little bit of an extra added boost to their daily activities or when going out for a night and elevating your nightlife experience to a different level
This one is Legend for a reason. It smells like a citrus with diesel. My flower has about 5% terpene,so it smells for mile away.Such a good and addictive smell. The buds are big and very sticky, but little bit airy, if you know what i mean. Now let's get to high and taste. It first instantly hit your body with warm good refreshing chill mood. Then you start to feel very pleasent cerebral head buzz. After half an hour you will feel dreamy and trippy. If you smoke a lot,you can have good introspective thinking with this strain.High is also very long, even if you have a big tolerance like me.And the taste?Absolutely phenomenal.Sweet, citrus, gas combination, that you will feel on your tongue even half hour after smoking.Absolute TOP SHELF.
I purchased my Sour Diesel at Sacred Sun Farms in Wolf Point Montana. For me Sour Diesel offered a fast acting, euphoric head high. Body effects: will feel relaxed and fluid while having a burst of energy for physical tasks and typically with energy and focus.
I recommend Sour Diesel for 1. Mood Enhancement: uplifting for depression, anxiety, and stress. Its euphoric properties elevated my spirits and promoted a sense of well-being, providing respite from the challenges of mental fatigue. 2. Pain Relief: useful for alleviating chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, migraines, and neuropathy. Its ability to reduce inflammations and modulate pain perception offered me significant relief of experiencing persistent discomfort like me. 3. Appetite Stimulation: 4.Fatigue Management: energizing effects made it an excellent choice for combating my fatigue and lethargy, provideos much-needed boost of motivation and vitality 5. Cognitive Function: improved my focus, concentration, and cognitive function for mental acuity and alertness.
The aroma is sour citrus and diesel, with an intense, predominantly diesel flavor (80%) with a delicious hint of citric acid and chemical undertones. The effect is very long-lasting and cerebral, very strong and intense, even for me, a frequent user. With just a few puffs, it produces a very energetic sativa effect, and at higher doses, the effects take you far away, achieving mental clarity and very intense visual effects with a dreamy feeling. The buds are sticky and dense, with a very strong scent, excellent for microdosing.
It easily eliminates anxiety and stress, giving me great muscle relaxation, relieving pain and fatigue.
I had high expectations, and they far exceeded them. I got 2 ounces indoors for $65 each.
