It does everything the description says. But if you are prone to anxiety and panic attacks, go light at first. For myself, 1 hit set off an attack. Your mileage may vary.

Speedy Janes- Hillsboro

Best place to go on the West side. Great prices. Awesome staff. My only real complaint is the showroom floor is small for a business that does so much traffic. It can feel a little claustrophobic. Okay, and the parking lot is sad. But neither issue is enough to deter me from coming here.

Nectar - Barbur

I gave Nectar a hard time a while back due to prices. I owe them a huge apology. What I did not know at the time was the huge problems producers were having with the new OLCC requirements. Needless to say, things have gotten much better. They have amazing selections of flower and dabs for great prices. Staff is awesome. Budtenders are knowledgeable. Even the cheaper selections are above average. My only issue I have is with the site itself. I know this is a recreational facility, but the parking lot and stairs into the building is rough on those of us with disabilities. Nice job guys! I will keep coming back, for sure.

Cookies Kush

Not what I expected from a cross between GSC and OGK. It is a very nice strain. But when I think GSC or OGK, I think happy, giggly, uplifting, etc. This is very heavy in the face. It certainly has the calming effects. Maybe since I experienced this in a dab it was a bit heavy. It's worth a try. Plenty of worse strains out there.

Rip City Remedies

7/30/2014
For a while now, I have been looking for a thc infused vapor liquid. It makes more than enough sense to have the industry branch out in that direction. As Rip Trippers on YouTube says "Smoking is dead. Vaping is the future. And the future is now". It's time to look at a new way to do your medicine. I had been looking for this possibility for a while now. So I was thrilled to see that Rip City Remedies had a lemon kush e-liquid! I must try! Location: Right on Division. Not bad. Easy access from pretty much anywhere in Portland. Accessibility: They thankfully had their own parking lot amongst the insanity that happens in that area during weekends. However, its rock. Not concrete. This is rough for wheelchair users. There are concrete areas close by, but none for the dispensary itself that I saw. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong! Atmosphere: It was ok. Pretty straight forward. Almost going into the "Plain" category. Far from offensive or dirty, which is always a plus. Staff: I was lucky. I came in on what seemed to be ladies employee night. The budtenders were the sweetest ladies I have met in a while. Knew what they were talking about. I love weed smart women! Quality: OK, here I am going into a bit of a review, so I apologize if it seems like I am straying a bit from just dispensary info. But, since it's their product, it works. I got 2 items. Well, 3 technically. I got my e-liquid and this concentrate from Liquid Amber. It was a form of an oil type made from the 3 Kings strain. First off, the e-liquid. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. I do not know if this is the same for other patients who has tried this medicine, but it was a very mixed bag of experimentation before really finding how this works to it's fullest potential. I will explain in the pro's and con's below. I will start with con's since those were what allowed me to sort of "dial in" the product. Cons: The taste is terrible. Just an opinion, but its kinda nasty. But, taste follows function. It's also kinda harsh on the throat. The vapor clouds it produces is poor. I am assuming it is because of the makeup of the liquid. Speaking of the liquid composition, the juice actually gummed up 2 of my clearomizers! The Protank 2 mini and even my Nautilus Aspire, the Bentley of clearomizer tanks! Had to tear them apart, scrub them out and replace the coils. What is THAT about???? The last con is the potency. It seems to take a LOT to feel any of the effects. It cannot seem to "Get the party started", but it can keep it going. PROS: OK, so after playing around some I figured I would try some in just my dripper atty. I put in a few drops with one drop of flavored e-juice. That did the trick. It mixed with the e-liquid and I was able to get nice clouds of tasty vapor that delivered the medicine a bit better, it seems (zero level nicotine, btw. Just PG/VG/flavor e-liquid). Maybe because it atomized the medicine a bit more? Whatever it was, it boosted this product up more. Final thoughts on the e-liquid: It's a great first attempt, honestly. I would love this product if the creator could rework the mixture a bit. Also, if they would list the VG/PG ratio it would be great. The medicine level is not a bad one at 66% THC 1.34% CBD. It just needs a better delivery system. Now, bonus. Liquid Amber. I saw a few places in town offer this interesting goodie. I was pleased to see Rip City Remedies had some. Figured "Why not?" The product is very similar to the Thai Stick line that has been popping up lately. It comes in small vials or pre-loaded cheapo cartomizers. It's not cheap, but it's actually great stuff. It just sucks trying to get it out of the little vials and into your bowl! But once you do.............yeah. It's great stuff. I will not write another novel on how to use this stuff. You guys are smart. You can figure it out. Just give it a try! Rip City Remedies will be there for you! I will be back, for sure.

Oregon's Finest - Pearl

6/12/2014
First time at Oregon's Finest Since I was missing my usual haunt in the Pearl I figured I would try out Oregon's Finest. Many haters for this dispensary. I however, am not one of them. I came in with an open mind and let them speak for themselves. The parking was a bit on the atrocious side. Luckily, I went right before their 10pm closure time on Saturday's so I did not have to walk too far with my back and joint issues. (No not THAT kind of joint issue!) To my surprise, the front door was actually locked! A security door! What a novel concept! I wish more dispensaries in the area did this. I was buzzed right in by a warm and welcoming blonde woman. I forgot to get her name as its something I am trying to add to my reviews so people know who to, or who not to, talk to. The front reception check in was quick and painless. However, the one complaint I had about the front portion of the building is the reception area/waiting area. They attempted to make the area feel warm by using rough wooden fascia and cowboy-ish themes. This is not normally an issue for me, but with the lighting and general layout of the front room, it felt like it was just stretching a bit far to be over the top, even in its simplicity. My other negative impression about the front room is the unused space. Clients have to wait to be served in a separate room. You could brighten up the front AND make your customers purchase times much quicker if you use one or two of those AWESOME computer screen menus for people to review while they wait in the front room for service. Do that, and your a 5 star on atmosphere. When I was brought into the salesroom, I was greeted by the lovely Kristin. This girl was an absolute dream to work with. Sweet, funny, knowledgeable, far from pushy or rude as you could get. This fact pleased me since I had started off with a bit of a harder exterior expecting the bad customer service people had experienced here before. Kristin did not bat an eye, Upbeat and fun the entire time! She was a pleasant balance between the total airheads who do too much of their own product and the elitist snobs who are worse than a group of snobby college steampunk kids. In other words, she rocked. =) The one thing that also bothered me a bit was the donation prices. Some of them are spot on with other prices around town. But, no matter how good your Girl Scout Cookies are, its not worth 260 an ounce.(I have to say the GSC is actually pretty damn good, but more on that later.) The menu is on the wall on amazing computer wall screens with prices and other info you may want on the items. This feature was brilliant IMO. Sadly, they had run out of the Doc Ault's tincture I wanted to try. So, I had to improvise a bit. I got some white lavender CO2 oil for my pen from Mount Hood Extracts (THC: 61.62%, CBD: 0.17%). I have purchased their blackberry oil before and was very pleased with it. This round is just as good. I am liking their consistency, For flowers, I threw together a multi-priced tired selection so I can experience the full quality variety a dispensary has. I went with the 260 dollar Girl Scout Cookies (From SoFresh Farms, THC 25%, CBD .1%), Blue Dream 220 dollar donation (From SoFresh Farms, THC 19.74%, CBD .08%), and the special of the day Banana OG 200 dollar donation (From Ideal Farms, THC 21.3%, CBD .4%). So far, the GSC is out of this world. Great for vaping! It's good enough I think I am going to have to write another review for the other 2 strains as this review is getting a bit hard to write! GSC is doing a great job on my spasms and nerve damage. My joints do not seem so swollen either. So, good job SoFresh farms! So overall, Oregon's Finest is not the evil place I had thought it was going to be. Maybe there is just one or two bad, moldy buds throwing off the vibe of the place? If so, they should sack them. Oregon's Finest has mass potential. As long as they keep up the customer service to the level I received and keep getting great product, they will be in my top 3 dispensaries, for sure.

Cherry Pie

3/15/2013
I am not easily impressed. Cherry pie however did something not even my beloved Blue Dream does. It made me smile. We aretalking Cheshire style! My anxiety literally melted away in a sea of tongue caressing sweet vapor. Thank you OG Kush genetics! Lovely to have you here. While sitting amazed at how this wonder of natural medicine had effected me so quickly with its gentile calming effects, I started to feel the purple tendrils of its GDP side start to crawl up the back of my brain and gently sliding behind my eyes. The euphoria rush kicked in, helping to dissipate my sciatica and scoliosis pain like the expent cloud of vapors from my lungs. Next, the tendrils coiled like a python constricting its prey for a long meal. It seems gentle, but its powerful and there to stay and enjoy itself for a while. Lastly, you ask about creativity? Well, I am writing this review, aren't I? =)
