$75 for an 8th! I know there's a shortage of cannabis in the state but this is INSANE. Maybe - maybe I can see paying this much for really high quality cannabis but...Purple Mayhem is not high quality. Cashmere is NOT it and Flo at 15% THCA is ridiculous. If you charge this much for good flower... still a lot but okay. When you sell shitty flower at these prices, you're just sending people to the black market. People work hard for their money... they aren't trying to buy the equivalent of plastic bottle vodka at Grey Goose prices.

I got a pre roll from this place on the recreational side recently. If I'm paying $19 for a pre roll, it better be good. This thing was horrendous. First off - the packaging is pretty far over the top. Plastic waste is high, even for a dispensary. Then I finally get to the joint. It was twisted off looking like someone's first preroll. It was packed too tight to the point where it wouldn't pull the entire time. Due to how tightly it was packed, ashing it meant the entire lit end of the preroll would fall off. Overall I paid $19 to get about three legitimate hits off of a mediocre strain. I'll pay $19 for a preroll again - just not from this place. Step up yo' game on the prerolls. It's the easiest thing you can do - unless you are using scraps instead of flower. Then it makes a lot more sense.

Every time I've been in, there's been 10+ employees at the point of sales counters and 1-2 patients in the building. There's like a 6:1 Budtender to patient ratio. It just doesn't make a lot of sense, and it's strange to be placing an order with 4 employees standing behind the one helping you. Flower I've gotten has been wholesaled from other places mostly. The stuff I have gotten that Commonwealth grew might as well have been wholesaled, there wasn't a lot of difference. Quality is down in the state across the board and it's not being raised up too much by Commonwealth. If you think I'm hating: #1 you have a less-developed relationship with cannabis than me. #2, look at the menu: 15+ strains but only a handful that are in the 20-30% THCA range. By no means is this the only indicator that a strain is necessarily good or bad, but it is an indicator of how well the plants were grown. A great indicator is a strain like GG #4. If it is grown really well, it will top out at or near 30% THCA. If it's not, it'll still get in the low 20% range because its a great strain. It's just not grown as well as it could be. And I'm pretty positive they have the genetics wrong on the menu for Wedding Cake if that is a cut and not from seed. Rookie mistake. Positives: A few edibles they have are unique and tasty. Cons: See above.

Not happy to go here as a first time person and buy a cartridge for $80 when I could get it for $50 where it was made. I know they just opened but there's no need to price gouge patients. Staff wasn't very knowledgable or friendly. Won't be going back.

Really well grown flower. The Rudeboi OG and Lavender Jack were really nice. Good selection of other products too. My only problem? Buying an 8th of "Uplift" or "Relief" or "Focus." This is a new trend in the marijuana industry started by non-industry people. It's so goofy! There's no reason you can't call a plant a sativa or indica and then describe the effects for people and believe me, I've heard this argument before. This one is sort of a Catch-22 because people familiar with marijuana do not want to see strains classified this way, but on the other hand it might make it a little easier for new patients. All I'm saying is that the decision to classify plants this way was not made by anyone growing the plants. Either way, great marijuana, goofy classification. Which means really, it's a good spot.

I like this dispensary and feel like it's the one in the state with the best flower. However when you have a CBD strain and you're selling a gram for $18, that's not cool. This is supposed to be medicine for people and while Theory does have a lot of good strains and well grown flower, I know many patients who simply cannot afford to shop here. it's perfectly fine to have more expensive marijuana than other places but there are no deals to be had and no real options for strains that cost less than others.

The NETA locations are beautiful. They have great packaging and a good selection of strains usually. Edibles are tasty and do the job. My only issue is that while the flower usually looks pretty good, there isn't much personality to the the phenotypes I've seen of certain genetics. These strains don't have a lot of smell or taste in my experience, and the effects aren't the best. I recently tried GSC and Master Kush: Both genetics are great, but these phenotypes did not match up with my experience with both strains in the past. If GSC stands for Girl Scout Cookies, then for me this strain was a let down for me. I also found a very tiny male flower on the GSC. Overall not bad for Massachusetts though... especially if you have a low tolerance or are unfamiliar with genetics.

Having been to most dispensaries in the state so far I would say that Ermont has some of the better quality flower I've found. First of all I got actual buds in my order, where is pretty rare in MA so far. The staff was friendly and everything worked as it should in a dispensary. Try the Sunset Sherbet if you can... it's a great strain and it was well grown.

I hate to hate but the quality of flower coming out of In Good Health is not the best. I recently picked up an 1/8 of Cookies & Cream to give that strain a try. It took 22 of the smallest buds you can imagine to make up my 1/8th! That's not appealing to anyone, and not a great way to earn repeat business. I shouldn't need multiple buds to fill the oven of my Pax!! I have also tried their Bullfighter and a few other strains, and they just aren't where they should be.

There is nothing compassionate happening at the Thomas C. Slater Compassion Center. You can tell the place is run by amateurs after a quick buck, instead of responsible, professional adults. Three tiers of flower, priced according. They only had eights available at the top shelf level, so the lowest priced 8th at Slater Compassion Center was $55. Most of the medicine had something wrong with it, and I'd go so far as to say you might find cleaner, better quality marijuana on your local street corner. The selection was and is usually poor and very limited. After two years Slater doesn't have their own reliable grow... despite having no plant limits... and that's just shameful. ESPECIALLY when you hear the rumors about why they don't have a grow up and running yet. Caregivers did a great job servicing patients while the state awaiting dispensary regulations, but Slater and their lawyers were so busy trying to kill the caregiver system that they've created a situation where they aren't capable of growing, but they don't have the expertise or ability to produce medicine on their own. The truly shameful thing is that if the people running Slater just did things the right way, they'd STILL be making loads of money like they are now. The only difference is that there would be a state full of happy patients instead of where Rhode Island stands now. Slater is not a compassion center: It is a for-profit, locally owned and operated drug cartel, and patients of Rhode Island... or ANY state for that matter, deserve better than this. If Rhode Island truly cared about it's MMJ program and the patients who are part of that program, they would rescind Slater's license to operate and give it to a group of people who treat marijuana as a medicine and people as patients.
