Critical Cure reviews
WOW--Crit Cure is LOVE IN A BOWL. I take med cannabis for PTSD and generalized anxiety disorder, and I get bad panic attacks from smoking even middle-potency strains (anything over 10% or so). I've tried super low THC/high CBD like Cherry Wu and Euphurkle, and while they're ok, they don't give much in the way of the buzz that makes smoking cannabis enjoyable. But Crit Cure--holy s**t, this stuff is like a perfect cocktail mixed just right by a super sexy bartender with a great smile. At just over 5% THC and about 13% CBD, this strain delivers a little buzz with ZERO of the racing thoughts, nervousness, or pounding heart that higher THC strains always give me. Instead, 2-3 medium sized bong hits makes me feel calm, chill, peaceful, relaxed--but not tired or lazy. It also makes me very patient--when I get anxious, I jabber nonstop to distract myself from the fear and worry, so I interrupt people and get agitated when they take their time in conversations. But with Crit Cure, NOPE! I'm chill and happy, and I can focus on enjoying a good conversation, a movie, or a video game feeling relaxed and patient and able to actually care what the other person is saying--just like when I was younger, before these problems started in my life.
It's clean, smooth smoke too, unlike Strawberry Cough (another great strain, but it's named that for a good reason). I don't taste tobacco like the description on Leafly says--I taste a deep berry or fruity flavor, sort of like blackberry. Anyway, it smells and tastes delicious, but it's not overpowering. And unlike Harlequin and Deadlights (at least for me), it doesn't give me very dry eyes or make me sleepy, even though it's an Indica-dominant strain. I just feel calm, mellow, and happy to take things slow and easy--such a relief from the racing thoughts and nervousness I've lived with for so long.
If you enjoy a bit of a buzz to go along with your CBD dosing, grab some Crit Cure and give it a whirl. If you want to increase your buzz, just take another hit or two, then sit back and let the CBD work its anxiety-killing magic on you. No exaggeration--for me anyway, Crit Cure is literally a PERFECT strain.
I tried about 30 strains before finding Crit Cure, and this is it--I've officially fallen in love. Ahhhh, the RELIEF!!! =)
this is a great strain if you suffer from anxiety. I have severe anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety amongst other things. when it comes to calming anxiety this strain reminds me a lot of Jack Herer, with just more of an indica feel. Critical Cure is definitely in my top five for anxiety relief.
Critical Cure is calming for both body and mind which allows for restoration. Has a sweet taste similar to hay or sweetgrass so can be nice to mix with other tastier strains. Blue Dragon, sativa dominant is a good mixer because of strong blueberry dessert taste which seems to level off the overwhelming sedative effect of Ccu. Otherwise this flower has a very mellow jello effect leaning into a medical grade high aka sedated & sleepy.
Great medical strain for general daytime use. If you want a functional high this is for you. Perfect amount of cbd to thc
Updated review after a month of use daily or every 2nd day
Very solid strain, particularly against anxiety for those who get anxiety attacks from consuming higher THC strains. It has a sweet, berry like aroma and the taste, while not my personal favorite in terms of flavor, is also sweet. Mine clocked in at 5% THC & 8% CBD and while the THC number is low, don't let it fool you. It still packs a punch so if you're looking for something without psychoactive effects then you may try something with even lower THC. I was surprised how giddy and happy I felt with whats predominantly an indica strain. It's a very relaxing kind of feeling when you but not couch locky or sleep inducing. It can be paired nicely with a strain high in myrcene if you need additional aid in falling asleep. For that reason I find it makes for a good day time strain. 5/5 for me as the only thing I don't like about it is the flavor when smoking/vaping more than a couple puffs. Personally I'm not a big fan of berry flavors in cannabis so that's hardly a knock against it if that's your bag. I find it particularly useful for leveling out a high when I have something a bit too strong that triggers anxiety Everyone I share this with loves it.
PS. For the growers of this strain, keep it short and squat and support the branches with stakes. This one likes to stretch in every which direction which would make me think and then when the bud puts on weight, it flops worse than most strains I've grown. It does not grow like most traditional indicas.
Knock on wood, this has been a great strain. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks on a good day. But, a lot of weed exaggerates it. I can have really bad effects from most of it. Hopefully it continues being good for me. It's so weird though! It's like.... It's so mello that you don't even know you are high until you realize you just ate 4 cookies, a bag of chips and been scrolling Facebook for an hour straight lol it calms my mind and my nerves. It stops the constant stream of thoughts. It also relieves the constant pain I'm in. I've experienced some extreme tragedies this past year. Several of them. So far, this is helping.

Was searching for a daytime strain. As an indica lover, I never thought I would find a high cbd strain with the anxiety relief/relaxation qualities of the heavier hitting effects of stronger THC laden plants. I was super surprised after I puffed up a healthy size dab of CCU!
On the exhale, I was instantly relieved of my anxiety and I was clear headed and MORE focused. I spent the rest of this day getting stuff done! (pain free and clear headed) I loved the sensation on the exhale, smooth and relaxing, no sleepiness, not too heavy and not too jazzy. I did experience some relaxation, but it was very different than I am used to. I did not get couch lock, I was able to function well and no one had any idea that I snuck out and smoked it. This is perfect for hanging with the family, getting chores done or even just chillin with chums. Beware of headaches. I noticed that as it wore off, my head began to pulse with pain. I was able to take care of the headache with a cold compress and some slow, relaxing breaths. Going to puff a bit more for sleep, I hope the headache was a one time deal.
This is the first strain I have tried that really had little to no undesirable side effects. I work at a dispensary and we are offered sooo many samples, this one is a keeper! I wanna say that this almost had a buzzy, sativa vibe. (without the anxiety) It felt pretty zippy at first, but mellowed after about 10 minutes in. I was totally tuned in to everything and I wasn't overwhelmed with sedation. Definately works for my Neuropathy and C-PTSD.
this is by far the strain that works best with my system. Relaxed, yet not too fatigued. Creative but not high strung. A great balance of flavors and effects!
