Mandarin Cookies reviews
If sunshine had a flavor, it would taste a lot like Mandarin Cookies. From the first pull, the air fills with that sweet-tart orange note — half tangerine, half sugar cookie — and suddenly the day feels a notch lighter. The vapor rolls in smooth, no harsh throat bite, just a gentle tickle that says, “you’re in for something good.”
I was sitting there in my usual mid-day funk — the meh zone between tasks — and this strain flipped the switch. Within minutes, the gray edges softened. My thoughts lined up in a neat row, my focus came back online, and the mood? Let’s just say I was happier than a pig in shit 🐖💩.
What I love most is its functionality. No brain fog, no couch lock, just a calm drive that lets me paint, write, clean, or wander the kitchen in creative bliss. It’s balanced — energizing enough to get things done, but mellow enough to keep me from overclocking the processor. A true hybrid in spirit and performance.
If you need something to take the edge off anxiety without losing clarity, Mandarin Cookies is the sweet spot. Flavorful, uplifting, and trustworthy — like a friend who makes you laugh, then reminds you to drink some water.
Vibe Rating: 🌞 9.5 / 10 — Focused, flavorful, and downright friendly.
Mild pain relief but ultra-focused and a big crash at the end. No anxiety or paranoia. Got a lot done. A bit like blue dream in some ways bd lasts longer and is better for pain. Cheap bag, dry enouph to turn into powder between my fingers, correspondingly low in the odor and taste dimensions. I was looking for focus and energy without anxiety or paranoia, and I found it. I got so much done.
Useful strain. I would love to find a higher grade version.
Bought and eighth from Reverie 73 in Lowell. Cannot say enough about that crew, keep up the good work! Anyways, this strain straight up smells like Americanized orange chicken that you’d find at a mall Chinese restaurant. It has a savory, fruity flavor that’s interesting, different. The taste is so unique, like a flaky orange pastry, but as it burned down, it had a more herbal flavor with orange rind. This is a strain you’re gonna wanna get creative as soon as you smoke it. Very cerebral, focused, but only for about 45 minutes to an hour. After that, the indica kicks in and you’re gonna wanna rest your eyes for a few minutes but will soon find yourself nodding off into the most pleasant sleep you’ve ever had. I really like this strain as it has a bunch of dimensions to it that can appeal to a lot of people, myself included!
I had R3 mandarin cookies , the effects felt wonderful and the smell was gelato ish
Mandarin Cookies from Back Forty delivers a sweet, citrus-forward experience that feels just right for a daytime or early evening lift. The smell was moderately strong but impressively clear, with bright notes of citrus, fruit, and a touch of earthiness. The buds were small and tight, coated heavily in sparkling trichomes — giving them a beautiful, frosted appearance.
The flavour stayed true to the aroma, offering a sweet and sour citrus taste that was both pleasurable and decently complex. Effects set in quickly, within about five minutes, bringing physical relaxation, gentle tingles, and a heady, happy high. It maintained a strong presence for around three hours without overwhelming intensity. Mandarin Cookies is a reliable go-to for a balanced sativa with a cheerful, mildly energetic effect.
Wicked sweet! Literally you can taste the sweetness.
Peppery, citrusy and earthy aromas pour out of the container. Three dense buds make up this 1/8 I have never seen a more frosty container. At first look the buds are super frosty and very clearly caked in trichomes along with frosty orange pistils accompanied with flicks of purple and light green tones. With a closer look under intense lighting I can see that these buds come to life with the glowing clusters of trichomes within them. As I broke them up for the grinder the buds felt very crispy and the trichomes stuck to my fingertips. The buds ground into a very dry and possibly the kiefiest pile I have ever seen on the legal market, the amount of kief that collected in my grinder was insane.
The first few tokes were very smooth with a slight tickle in my throat. The inhale gave a spicy yet slightly citrusy kick and the exhale has an earthy flavour with a little hint of pepper. The more I smoked the more fruity it became while still keeping that spicy/peppery profile present. This high is very slow to hit, it creeped up on me in an energetic way. I began to feel a little bit zoned out as my high starts to effect me however I could feel a nice energetic sensation in my head and my body felt very relaxed and chilled out.
All of a sudden this flower hit it’s peak, I didn't feel any pressure or dryness in my eyes at first but once the cotton mouth arrived my eyes did start to follow. I was very talkative, uplifted and the euphoria left me in a happy state of mind. Once I finished my smoke and I was going about my daily routine I noticed that my body was feeling very relaxed and a great sense of calm came over me. As the high died down I was content chilling out yet very focused on conversations. I had no sense of drowsiness if anything I felt focused and had a small window of creative thinking.
This is one for a productive yet relaxing day with friends or at home on a lazy Sunday morning. With a slow acting yet prolonged high I can imagine smoking a lot for these cookies could leave you in a sedative state.
I had a good experience and some very tasty flower. Drawback: I am on anti seizure medication that I felt this weed interacted with in an unpleasant way. I felt more confused and dazed when smoking this strain on my meds. I believe it may be because of the high linalool content. Would totally recommend if you're not on anti seizure meds though!
