Papaya reviews
Medical user here; I use Leafly often for researching strains & terps, but haven't ever posted a review. Papaya from Society C - live resin cartridge- had such a profound effect on me that I felt I needed to share it with other med users. Purchased from Higher Love in the U.P., my #1 go-to dispo.
I'm one of those users who the strain had an uplifting effect on, even though it's an Indica-dominant hybrid.
Ailments are chronic illness and pain, anxiety and stress, general malaise, fatigue, inability to focus. First time I tried this I was dealing with the after effects of insomnia and a sleep aid, so was groggy and heavy as s**t. It's worth it to get good sleep, but I definitely needed something to perk me up and my iced coffee wasn't helping. Had the day off so I figured it was a perfect time to wake and bake and try one of the 2 gram live resins that I just gotten the day before. It literally cured everything I was dealing with and made it so I was able to eat and get out of bed. It's not the first time I've experienced this uplifting effect from another Indica, and can get a downer effect from a Sativa (I feel like it might have something to do with the potential allergic effects of limonene & linalool, found heavily in many Sativas, but that's a different post).... Anyway, definitely try Papaya if you see it; I'm floating on some happy, creative grooves.
If I could give this more than 5 stars it would be a 10 out of 10....I bought this in bud form 4 times in the last 2 months because it works for almost every ailment I've known for most of my adult life....endometriosis, cramps, multiple sclerosis pain, water retention, depression episodes etc....
Knocks them all out or it makes me not care at all about any of it but makes me stupid happy and free feeling and ready to do things..I become canna-mom getting shit done w a smile and music on..
It will make you want to listen to music for me it's dance music like DJ Allen Walker and tom morello and singers such as Bebe rexha and bludnymph etc....
Plus you get creative....after my energy level reduces I took notice Ive been super wanting to and coloring in my "swearing cats vol 2" adult coloring book for a few days as an evening wind down...
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful looking, tasting, and effect strain
After about a 12 year gap from consuming cannabis I am now back to smoking. Where I live(near Michigan) it has never been so accessible in such a professional manner. I am 36 years old and it blows my mind every time I visit a dispensary. This strand, Papaya, has just consumed me. I have bad ADHD and trouble sleeping, even after working 10 hours in the scaffold industry. I prefer carts and dispo's. I tried a LightSkyFarms cart that was Papaya and I couldn't believe what I was tasting and the effects were just what I needed. Very calming, peaceful. It helps put my mind and body at ease. I now found RKive Cannabis Live Rosin disposables and their Papaya literally tastes like Papaya. It's the best. I don't get any paranoia, I do get dry mouth, but everything else is just so SMOOOOOTH. This strand instantly made my top 3, maybe even my favorite. It's between Papaya, Cake strands, and Mimosa's. Indica Forever. p.s. shop at Urb!
Not bad, I will say I’ve grown tolerant to it after smoking it everyday for two or so weeks. The first taste you get is almost tropical? I definitely get the papaya, but at the same time I wouldn’t really describe it as fruity. maybe more earthy. It’s a nice strain, I can’t smoke too much or it’ll put me to bed lol but it does the job. The inhale is airy and smooth. The taste gets stronger on the second hit. It makes me hyper, jittery, but also mellows me out at the same time. If I can’t fight it, I’ll usually fall asleep thirty or so minutes in lol. Overall pretty good. interesting and prominent taste.
So, I've been a big fan of indicas for a while however, recently I've been into balanced hybrids and sativa -dominant strains and haven't found an indica that I would choose over a balanced hybrid. Now, I have, I absolutely love this strain, the taste is amazing, I got the first sound, through the night sleep I've had in months after vaping papaya.
It has a euphoric aspect that I don't often find with indica dominant strains, helps with IBS symptoms, helps with appetite, has helped my back pain and, it almost gives me an opiate like relaxation in my shoulders and it's phenomenal.
10/10 would recommend you try this strain, especially if you like indicas but, be careful when you partake in Papaya as, it will definitely put a less experienced smoker into couch lock that turns into a nap. 🤣🤷🏼♂️
I've recently begun smoking to treat a medical condition. I'm about a month in, and I've tried about 20 strains, still searching for the right one. I'm writing reviews on any strains that are great, or really bad or just plain weird. Papaya for me was weird. The high started in the head, mostly with a tingly scalp. I noticed that it heightened my perception or focus when watching my favorite TV show of the moment. This sensation lasted quite a while. Meanwhile it travelled to my body with a heavy narcotic feeling. So far so good, but the strange thing was that despite this heavy feeling, I didn't find it as helpful for bodily pain relief as other strains. I could feel my old shoulder injury more. The next strange thing was that it made me sleepy, but at the same time it was activating, what on Leafly might be called "aroused." So it made me want to sleep and the same time it made me want to get up and do stuff, even though I didn't really want to! It should be noted that I'm a little prone to bodily anxiety and this strain activated that. But if you read reviews, some people find it energizing and other people find it calming. I think this is the nature of the strain. It could hit you either way, or for me, both ways. I would call its effects on me as "contradictory" -- sleepy and activating at the same time. I would compare its effects to Inferno OG, but maybe bringing more perceptual focus (but I smoked more Inferno than I did Papaya). The budtender recommended it for sleep, but I couldn't use this strain in that way. It was not the right strain for me, but could still work for you.

In terms of smell, this is the best smelling strain I’ve ever had. High is pretty good
I had the version called Papaya Syrup. So not exactly just papaya. But this indica was a super nice smooth happy indica. It’s definitely euphoric and relaxing.
