Let me preface this with I am a disabled senior on a fixed income; I came for the first time here on May 2, 2025. I had not been here before as I live over 10 miles away; however, they had a great sale for a product that’s hard for me to find and that I wanted- a Bogo- plus some edibles!
I used Leafly to place my order and my total before taxes was exactly where it should’ve been about $76 before taxes!
I arrive to pick up my order and it was Friday so it is a little bit loud. No problem, as It was in the late afternoon, no worries… that is until it was time to pay for my online order!
To begin with, they did not have the order correct they only had three out of four of the items I had ordered – though they had them in stock… It was then that I was informed that I did not place the order I know I placed and that it was not buy one get one free- here’s the best part, the reason I could not get the advertised deal was because they don’t honor the deals! I explained to the bender who is very polite my dilemma, and even showed her the advertisement online for the Bogo. at this point, I’d like to tell you about my first time Patient deal also! According to the Lee website and their in-store flyer – FTP was ‘40% off entire purchase’… that’ll last that was not to be according to their advertisement yet again!
I was informed that they don’t stack discounts even though the website nor their flyer says exclusions apply or any such thing it simply states: “40% off entire purchase” for FTP- with a second and third incentives for the second and third visits (**Second visit-within 30 days of first purchase- another first for me; I’ve had a medical card since January 2013 , so I’ve been to a few dispensaries!)
I asked the bartender if she would ask her manager and she did. After three or four minutes of discussing this situation, I went over and showed the manager the online advertisement for the day and their specials; who basically just told me everything the young lady did! I strongly and politely suggested to them that they would want to bring this up to their superior; as I drove over 10 miles for that particular BOGO sale and they, at the end of the interaction;
1-did not honor the Bogo, but offered 40% off my full price order;
2- Budtender and Manager both did not honor their stated FTP policy- every other dispensary I’ve had a problem/misunderstanding with HAS ALWAYS honored online advertised incentives,
3- I spent just as much but was short with that missing (2nd) $28 BOGO!
So just summarize this visit:
1. Incorrect order – short one item.
2.Did not honor online advertised: prices/specials NOR First Time Patient Specials
2a- Budtender generously offered me a 40% discount to make up for that misunderstanding… Even though I was entitled to that 40% discount as an FTP-as I’ve never been there before, and I pointed that out to the Budtender and manager
3- I spent just as much money as I had planned but was short one product and the whole experience left a horrible taste in my mouth and I shall not be back there unless they have another killer sale that’s ‘on THEIR Website’ so I can be assured I will get what they advertise at the price they advertise because nothing happened the way I thought it would at the dispensary! However, they do carry a product that I sometimes have difficulty finding elsewhere. Their ONLY redeeming factor.
Perhaps they cater to the young crowd…and don’t really want anyone with a 50 year cannabis par-taking career, spending money in their store!
I’d like to add that I spend a decent amount of cash on my meds every month! I am a connoisseur of-flower, Live Resin vapes and edibles!
The store was adequate; but had more the vibe of a busy Circle K then say a nice dispensary… Definitely for the younger crowd and I don’t feel old yet!
Pretty sure I will not be a frequent flyer at this dispensary! At the very these, they should’ve honored the online advertise prices! I am a retired business owner so I have a clue. Have a great day yo
I have been purchasing Hi-Klas concentrates from Verano at Zen Leaf for years (over 100 grams last year), and the sudden price increase from $20.25 to $28.25 per gram is completely unreasonable. An $8 jump overnight is nearly a 40 percent increase and does not reflect the reality of the Arizona market.
Loyal customers who have supported this product for years are now being forced to pay significantly more for the EXACT same item. That kind of pricing change feels like blatant price gouging, especially when there was no warning and the product selection has become more limited.
If this pricing continues, long-time customers like myself will have no reason to keep buying Hi-Klas concentrates at Zen Leaf when other dispensaries offer better pricing and better selection. Loyal customers should be valued, not penalized.
NOT TO MENTION THEY ROLLED OUT A NEW LOYALTY PROGRAM WITH LOWER REWARDS THAN LAST YEAR FOR LOYAL CUSTOMERS.
I appreciate the GM providing a discount on my last purchase, but I will not be purchasing product from a company that treats loyal customers with zero respect.
I ordered online and when I walked in I was greeted by the hostess and got offered a bottle of water and the guy at online checkout was extremely helpful and very nice. 10/10 thank you
Jynessa was a friendly, fast and efficient Budtender. I appreciated that she checked my profile to find coupons I didn’t know I had to help me save more. Appreciate her help and product knowledge!
The cashier was very pretty
I really enjoy the staff; 10/10 everyone here is cool . on the other hand though; the way it is set up. I would rather not order online the line is very small and there is not a place on ground to make sure people dont get way to close since its smaller and it seems like people who are oneline orders are in a rush but the line is phyically smaller. in my opionon I rather not have some random person right behind me.

Best prices, deals and the friendliest service from all the staff. Been going to Gilbert Zen for 5 years and I’m moving soon So I will miss this dispensary. Moving to Chandler so definitely checking out Zen Chandler . thank you Zen staff for the great highs 😮💨😵💫🫠 Tina S.
My go-to dispensary for anything I ever need. Best staff, best products, best service and it’s not even close. Their app and point system are great as well. Truly the best of the best.
Amber is amazing! She’s so easy to talk to and always makes the whole visit feel comfortable and stress free. I really appreciate how she takes the time to listen and guide me without ever rushing. She’s knowledgeable, genuine, and just makes the experience better every time.

Also shout out to Amber and Malenzie! Two of the sweetest ladies I've ever met!
Everyone is very knowledgeable of their products, great personalities, and all are wonderful! Be nice when you visit the store!

This is by far the worst dispensary in the state. I got a AIO that stopped working after just five rips. The orange cream fizz is a bust. I also got a baller jar by Drip Oils that tasted like poop. The same smell as a porta-potty is how it tastes. The grossest flavor I have ever experienced. The quality has stooped so low at this location that I will never return.

The people here are amazing. Erin helped me this last visit and was very pleasant and helpful. I have been there many times and have never had a bad experience. I am 76 years old and use this to help me sleep and it really works for me. Every time I have come in here I think to myself that if I was not retired and still running a business I would give the person who helped me my business card and ask them to come see me about a job.

The best dispensary in the east valley. I come here all the time the staff is always very helpful and it’s always quick. Thank you Emily !!
Walked up to the front door at 8:48pm to get my online order but doors were locked and lights off at that time. I won't drive 17 miles for the products I want, to waste my time and gas getting here. I work for another dispensary and we only lock our doors early when we already have customers in line.

I am always greeted with a smile, I feel like family. Amber is always good for a fist bump or hug. She was training someone this last time I was in and had an amazing balance of taking care of both of us. Only one problem…I didn’t get a hug 💙

Makenzie is so so amazing! She’s sweet & easy to talk to, and always makes the process smooth and comfortable.
