A friend of mine was gifted a jar of beautiful, stinky Pure Michigan nuggets and let me tell you - it does the trick - so long as you don't need to do anything that requires fine motor skills. My friend forgot how to wash his hands. I was like... soap and water? He said "okay then what?" standing there, a pleading look in his eye, soap all over his hands held out in front of him. I laughed my ass off, but later found that I could barely play my guitar. Pure Michigan smells great, the smoke is smooth, and its great for a hazy evening hangout. It will make you horny though. Yep.

The first time I smoked Blue Dream was after a short T-break after feeling like weed was starting to make me feel stoned but not "high". I'd lost some of the effects I want from weed by hitting a cart for a little while and raising my tolerance. Blue Dream felt like returning to weed and everything I love about it. I sat on a beach in the early evening and lit up, and within 5 minutes or so I felt a gentle curious wave wash over me and the colours all around me seemed enhanced. I felt such tangible euphoria, not overwhelming but gently blooming inside, a feeling of wellbeing and happiness at where I was, surrounded by sounds of the ocean and people enjoying themselves on the beach, families playing and walking in the sun. I'll be buying more Blue Dream as soon as my dispensary gets more in - it's quickly become a touchstone for what good weed should feel like for me.

I've only smoked Phantom Cookies once - but damn, it made an impression! My friend got a pre-roll from a local dispensary. We smoked it having zero expectations out on my balcony in the early evening sunlight. Within a few minutes I felt it hit like a brick - I went from chatty and sober to silent and profoundly high. I stared at the traffic outside, a line of cars moving across a bridge that were all catching and reflecting golden evening light and all seemed to be copies of the same car, all hypnotically regular, glowing and gliding across the bridge. The height from the balcony seemed unusually tangible and I became aware a few moments later that my friend had also gone very quiet. We looked at each other both knowing we were feeling the same thing. I was trying to imagine how to explain to my friend that we should probably go inside as the outside was becoming extremely overstimulating, but I could barely form the words. Eventually after what seemed like a prolonged moment of buzzing out silently in the sun, we slowly made our way indoors, sat on the couch and started laughing like idiots at how high we were. The rest of the evening was spent excitedly chatting, bopping to music and laughing our asses off on the couch while snacking on the treats we got earlier. It was one of the best sessions I've had with my friend who no longer smokes, but damn if I can find this strain again you better believe I'm buying enough to last the summer.

I was gifted 32g of White Wedding by a generous friend for my birthday this year(!) I was worried that I might be stuck with a strain that could make me sleepy or anxious, but I'm happy to say it seems to be the most perfect 50/50 hybrid I've experienced. I barely ever cough smoking it, it's uncommonly smooth. It doesn't make me hyper but doesn't slow me down either. I've found it to be a very manageable, pleasant and balanced high, perfect for sharing socially as it's also unlikely to make sensitive friends anxious or paranoid. I've only had pleasant smokes with White Wedding. While I tend to prefer strains that feel more energetic and psychoactive, it's a good one to have on hand for more chill, uplifting and light-hearted sessions.
