I didn't care for the Bullet-Proofed glass ghetto vibe at all. The Bud tenders behind the glass wall makes for an uncomfortable detached experience. The other thing equally as uncomfortable was the outrageous pricing of so many $15 gram strains. With so many reputable shops offering across the board $ 10 gram pricing having so many selections priced @ $15 a gram seems like blatant overcharging. Unless this Dispensary changes everything, I wont return. 5/22/2013 - buddude

I walked into rain city and did not feel welcome. The huge room with hardly anything in it felt cold. I was approached by a large security guard, I liked the idea of added security on one hand, but on the other it seemed a little over done. It was the middle of the day and I was visiting the dispensary with a friend/fellow patient I didn’t feel unsafe until he pushed the idea of being escorted on me. I had a hard time interacting with the person being the bank teller style window. The small samples on the counter were a little unorganized and it was hard to understand the color-coding. When I asked the bud-tender about testing he stated that a specific strain “usually tested at about 16% THC” I was shocked to hear that they don’t test every batch of cannabis that they get in, as there can be a huge variance between crops, that also leads me to believe that there is a lack of testing for bugs and mold as well. I walked out with some pretty decent flowers, after looking through everything they had. I probably wont be retuning, and I’m just saying you guys “Sun Grown” in Washington? Well, hello there and thanks for visiting us...last things first...there is sun grown meds in the Washington state...please visit our Magnolia location 2112 Thorndyke ave W...it is set up just like the traditional dispensaries that u might prefer...i hope u liked the quality of the meds...that & the patient are the most important parts of the equation. I encourage you to test the meds if you are inclined. We do test for THC on our new strains but currently not testing all our crops. The security guards are excellent! They make you feel safe! All the strands are top shelf regardless of price! My favorite so far was the Kryptonite Indica, my goodness! So choice, I highly recommend. 4/15/2013 - erblizzle1977

I have been doing the dispensary tour since I have gotten my card in an attempt to find a place that has everything wrapped up in one place and is also nearby. Most experiences so far have been fairly intimate when it comes to picking the cannabis. It was a bit jarring to have to speak through glass windows. I felt bad since I was having trouble hearing what the guy was saying half the time. Besides the lack of atmosphere, this place has great medicine. I bought Willy Wonder as a suggestion to a productive type high. It worked beyond my expectations. They seem to have a wide variety of clones, medibles, and other forms as well, but I have not tried them personally (yet!) The place is nearby, the staff was friendly and patient, and the medicine is fantastic. If it wasn't for the "picking the convict out of the line" vibe of choosing the cannabis, Rain City would be the perfect dispensary. 4/5/2013 - eeevuh

Great and friendly guys. Tae seems to know his stuff. Listened to what I wanted and worked with me to satisfy. My only negative is the layout. Budtender is behind bulletproof glass. Makes it kind of awkward. So definitely detracts from atmosphere. 3/27/2013 - SeattleGuy

I met Mat, Tae, Ryan and Marc thru a mutaul friend, these guys know their stuff. The quality of their product is by far the best I've seen, my favorite is kryptonight and cinex. I assure you that $15's is our most expensive gram price and all our tax is included in our prices. We have grams for $9-$15 and always have a $25 1/8. Our quality is better than most but places but thats a subjective experience...price is related to the cost of growing so if a strain is $15 its because it doesn't yield a lot compared to other strains or its was expensive to buy from a grower... Thanks for the review...its our one and only bad one:) Again, we have amazing herb from 9-15$'s so to say that because our 15$ price point that your experience wasn't enjoyable I'm sorry but we do offer something for everybody and not just 15-gram...please allow me to offer you a free gram if u return. Since Ive been coming here, day by day the place get better and more beautiful looking. The staff is great, very knowledgeable about their cannabis, they don't sit there and say "I don't know" to every single question you have. They are very kind and very welcoming when you come in. The Selection of flower is incredible, nothing is below grade b flower, everything is top notch. If you love to DAB then this is your spot for some of the best inhouse N-tane Shatter you will ever had made by Refine. I have been coming to Rain City constantly and have always been impressed with their overall stability and ambition to succeed as a co-op and as a cultural hotspot.
