Euforia is a special strain that came from our 1996 Skunk breeding program. Euforia is heavy yielding and easy to grow indoors or outdoors. Indoors she is ready to harvest after 8-10 weeks of bloom, outdoors she is harvested around the end of October/early November. Candy Bubatz XL has a unique terpene profile that is mainly sweet and fruity, both in smell and taste. What exactly are the genetics in Candy Bubatz XL?

These feminised photoperiod cannabis seeds were created by crossing an old-school Bubble Gum clone with our well-known cannabis cup-winning Critical Orange Punch parent. This combination provides the extremely sweet and fruity terpene profile.

The goal of this crossing was to create a very sweet cannabis variety that will remind you of the days when you were a kid in a candy store! Bubble gum, chewing gum, fruity bears, sour sweets - what will it be? Well, this strain has it all!

Developing and stabilising this strain took a few years, and we are proud to introduce this mega-tasty, sweet dessert cannabis strain to our collection. Candy Bubatz XL is an easy to grow cannabis strain, ideal for the novice grower. Due to her hybrid genetic background, she can take a beating and can easily be grown in a wide range of conditions. In terms of nutrition and maintenance, she is not at all difficult and she is easy to control.

For the easiest growing and the tastiest result, we recommend growing her with organic soil and nutrients. This powerful hybrid gets strong long branches filled with long full blooms. The buds become really solid with a very favourable flower/leaf ratio. Candy Bubatz XL produces large amounts of cannabis trichomes on both the leaves and the flowers.

In some phenotypes everything is completely covered in a thick white layer of sticky trichomes! These aromatic crystals have a bulbous trichome head and a long stem, which comes off easily when making extractions. Ideal for making hash and other cannabis concentrates.

Her THC levels are typically medium to high, around 15-20%. When grown in the right conditions this can reach just over 20%. But in general, most plants will end up around the 17-19% THC range.

During flowering this plant can stretch quite a bit, on average between 2-3x (in optimal conditions) her original height from the moment she is put on a 12/12 cannabis light cycle in an indoor grow. There are usually 2 dominant phenotypes. One of these plants is a little smaller but more branchy. The other grows a bit taller, but both have a consistently high yield with nice full blooms and a good layer of resin. The buds of our Candy Bubatz XL tend to have a relatively short internodal distance. This means that the buds can grow together nicely.

The plant structure is best described as medium to large, with good branching. The leaves are of a hybrid structure in which both the Indica and Sativa characteristics are clearly visible.

Candy Bubatz XL has an enjoyable yet powerful hybrid high. Flowering time of Candy Bubatz XL

In an average of 9 weeks, Candy Bubatz XL will flower into a beautiful cannabis plant with extremely white sticky buds. In terms of stature she is usually a relatively larger plant, with many strong branches and large continuous blooms.

Due to her strong genes, she is easy to cultivate, she grows fast and always provides a high yield. Normally with 11L pots you will get a plant of 80-100cm (~3ft) after a month of veg pre-growth from cannabis seed, depending on the growing conditions and equipment used.

Some phenotypes will need a week longer in bloom in less-than-optimal conditions. This also applies to outdoor cultivation. That is why we only recommend this strain for cultivation in warmer and drier, preferably Mediterranean-style, climates. Places where the sun shines a lot, and the temperature is higher.

Because of her strong, stiff branches this strain can do well in a natural grow, but because of her relatively strong stretch period during flowering she is also well suited for a SCROG grow. Fimming and topping can be used as growing techniques if you do not want the plant to grow too tall.
The yield of Candy Bubatz XL

If you grow this feminised photoperiod strain indoors under good quality LED lights, you can expect weed of the highest quality. When grown well, you can expect about 500 to 650 grams/m2 (16+oz per square yard). The plants grow with remarkable strength and are very productive.

Especially when it comes to resin production! Buds are completely covered with a thick layer of beautiful crystals and trichomes with large heads. In general, this strain has an average flowering time of about 9 weeks.

Outdoors, she normally needs 1 to (max) 2 weeks longer to fully ripen and she is usually a fantastic yielder. Especially in a dry, sunny climate! She can reach a maximum height of 3-4m (10-13ft) during an outdoor grow. Large outdoor harvests of half a kilo to a kilo (17-34oz) of dry cannabis buds are therefore certainly possible. We challenge all growers to achieve a harvest of 1 kilo from 1 plant!
Expert advice: 

Candy Bubatz XL is a great feminised seed variety to grow. She is easy, strong, fast growing and produces large, full blooms with an exceptional resin frosting and an intensely sweet terpene profile. She thrives in a wide range of grow conditions and is therefore perfect for the novice grower.

Due to her hybrid genes (close to a 50/50 hybrid, so about 50% Indica genes and 50% sativa) she is very vigorous and produces strong branching. To make the most of this, we recommend growing her indoors in a SCROG and making sure that all the buds receive the same amount of light.

This can ensure extremely high yields where you can probably achieve more than 700+g per m2! Topping and fimming are also two growing techniques that we recommend allowing her grow more in width and to limit the vertical growth somewhat. Especially when grown without additional growing techniques, this ultimately ensures higher yields.

For the tastiest result, it is best to grow this strain on fully organic or even vegan food. ‘No-till farming’ is also a good method to achieve a fantastic result with minimal disturbance via the natural symbiosis between the soil and the plant.

Do you prefer to grow her outside? Then make sure you have an overhead cover (e.g. tarpaulin) if required during the cannabis flowering phase and preferably a place with good ventilation and lots of sun. This reduces the chance of bud rot and mould - this strain does not like wet and cold conditions.

Red Tropicana Cookies is a feminised photoperiod cross of two vigorous and potent sisters from a Sour Tropicana Cookies selection. In the offspring of this USA cannabis strain you will find characteristics of Sour Diesel, Tropicana and Cookie genetics.

The mother in this cross is a fast-growing Sativa with compact buds and a unique appearance. During the growth phase she develops beautiful slender leaves with a red vein in the centre of the leaf, this is where she gets her ‘Red’ name from. In late bloom the leaves can darken, and the completely white buds stand out beautifully against the dark coloured leaves.

The father is a (reversed) female cannabis plant that is known for beautiful, purple-coloured buds with a special aroma. These can sometimes be red, purple or even pink hues and these ladies are both a pleasure to look at and to smell during flowering!

This is certainly not your standard weed smell, intense notes of fruit, cream and cookie dough are complemented by a certain funkiness from the Sour Diesel parent. This really takes the taste to a new level. Pungent sweet and sour notes contrast with chemical notes of gasoline & jet-fuel. The most dominant terpenes in this cross are caryophyllene, linalool, humulene, limonene and myrcene (in no particular order).

The flowering time averages between 63 and 70 days. Indoor growers can expect plants with a good stretch when the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Red Tropicana Cookies also does very well in a greenhouse or an outdoor grow in warm and dry areas! She always remains controllable (especially for a Sativa) and her height can be further controlled by snapping, bending or (super)cropping. Due to her Sativa leaf and growth profile she is perfectly suited to a SCROG grow.

In terms of potency, she averages between 19-23% THC, but there are known outliers that have exceeded 26%! Although she has an extremely high THC level, the effect of this strain remains relaxed and chilled. She is slightly euphoric and energetic but never becomes too trippy or racy.

What exactly are the genetics in Orange Bud 2.0?

Orange Bud 2.0 is a cross of the original and cup-winning Orange Bud mother with a special elite clone of Mimosa. Our goal with this cross was to combine old and new to a level that would appeal to all types of growers and smokers. Even dedicated 'old-school' Orange Bud growers will love Orange Bud 2.0. But she will also be a hit with 'new-school' growers who like extravagant scent and flavour profiles.

The crossing with the American Mimosa (Clementine x Purple Punch) enabled our geneticists to improve the quality of the buds and further stabilise the strain. Orange Bud 2.0 is therefore more compact, whiter and with a better flower-to-leaf ratio without sacrificing the unique Orange terpene profile.

Orange Bud 2.0 produces relatively compact plants with a fast flowering time. The buds are hard with a thick layer of resin and a strong citrus-dominant terpene profile

Orange Bud 2.0 is a new hybrid strain that is only available in feminised cannabis seeds. The plants have a slightly more compact and smaller plant structure compared to the classic Orange Bud. They also grow nice compact hard buds and are beautiful to look at. Because we focused on the quality of the buds and maintaining the relatively fast flowering time, we had to compromise slightly on the total yield.

Orange Bud 2.0 does not grow very large, she is slightly more Indica dominant than the original. If you grow her naturally without any growing methods, a height of about 75-100cm (2.5ft - 3ft) is quite typical - depending on the pot size and the light type/wattage. In the hands of good growers and an extended pre-growth period height be approximately between 100cm to a maximum of 150cm (~3ft - 5ft), but she doesn’t get much bigger.

Even first-time growers will enjoy growing Orange Bud 2.0 cannabis seeds. No special cultivation methods are required to achieve good results. By carefully stabilising her, she can also handle stress a little better than the original.

This is a unique new American-influenced Skunk cross. She produces robust branches and is easy to feed. The stretch is average and easy to predict. Orange Bud 2.0 does well in a SOG cultivation, just like her parents. Small pots, many plants per m2 and a short growth period promote a high yield.

Orange Bud 2.0 also grows easily naturally (with no growth techniques), but is slightly less suitable (compared to Original Orange Bud) for a SCROG due to her limited stretch and more compact plant structure. Orange Bud 2.0 can be harvested indoors after an average of 8-9 weeks.

She can also be relatively fast outdoors, making her a good candidate for harvesting early in the fall - especially in the warmer and dry areas. Around the Mediterranean region (and in similar climates/latitudes) she can be grown successfully outdoors.

The flowering time of Orange Bud 2.0

Orange Bud 2.0 has an average flowering time of approximately 56-63 days. Different phenotypes can be slightly faster or slightly slower. But in general, in an indoor cultivation, a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks applies. Due to the more indica-dominant hybrid genes, this crossing is slightly more compact in stature and has less stretch than the original Orange Bud.

An outdoor grow will be ready around mid-October in a temperate climate in the Northern Hemisphere. Make sure there is a rain-cover and good ventilation in the area - the buds become so compact that they can’t tolerate excessive rain, fog or moisture.

For most northern European (or similar) climates, this means that it is best to finish flowering indoors (with humidity control) during the last few weeks for best results. She does well in a sunny and dry climate and you will be amazed by the potential of this strain! She likes organic soil and coco-fibre the most. But she can also be grown hydroponically, which allows you to shorten the total growth time by a week or two.
Advice from our experts on growing Orange Bud 2.0 seeds

Orange Bud 2.0 is a plant with a unique look. Some plants develop coloured and sometimes even dark shades on the leaves and around the buds. This is most visible in an outdoor grow. The contrast that arises with the bright white buds gives the flowers an exotic appearance. This is a strain that is easy to understand.

She prefers good organic soil and can tolerate quite a few nutrients. In addition, she is a nice strain to manipulate, top (or 'fim') it and during veg growth phase it is best to lollypop her and defoliate several times. When growing outdoors, it is recommended to top the plants, so that an even bushier plant is created where the central main bloom is divided into several smaller blooms.

This is especially important in slightly more temperate climates. Topping several times can then be a solution to reduce the risk of bud rot and mold. It is therefore best to grow her in containers, so that you can move the plants in bad weather. Orange Bud 2.0 is not really an ideal strain for the open ground.

For the highest yield in an indoor grow, we recommend the SOG method. Pots averaging between 7-11L work fine with a few weeks of pre-growth. Finally, make sure you have a good carbon filter system because this strain can reek with great pungency, especially in late flowering!

Slush Mint Cake BX1 is the regular seed version of the highly sought-after, super-potent, USA-dominant Highlife cup winning feminised Slush Mint Cake seeds, created by Antonio. This regular hybrid was developed by backcrossing Antonio's Slush Mint Cake (In House Genetics Slurmint x Ice Cream Cake) with his coveted Ice Cream Cake male parent. 

This backcross preserves the outstanding qualities of the original mother's genetics such as dense, sticky, frosty buds, a pungent terpene profile & extremely high cannabinoid levels. After completing a series of independent lab tests we found this regular seed BX1 version to be even more potent than the feminised seed original. THC levels can reach over 28% (delta-9 THC), some of the highest we've ever encountered in all our years of professional collaboration with various European labs. 

This makes Slush Mint Cake BX1 regular seeds an excellent strain for experienced smokers and growers who appreciate the highest THC levels. Moreover, it meets & exceeds the same high standards as the cannabis cup winning feminised seed version of Slush Mint Cake. 

It has a strong aroma and a delicious taste of sweet fruity candy with gassy notes & hints of creamy ice cream. The five most dominant terpenes are typically limonene, myrcene, linalool, caryophyllene and pinene. 

When grown correctly, the buds are truly rock-hard and will certainly make an appearance in many-a-cannabis cup. Flowering time averages around nine weeks, but there are also slightly faster plants available, requiring between 56 and 60 days under a 12/12 indoor light cycle.

Blue Auto Mazar® Cannabis Seeds combine the best of two of Dutch Passions legendary original automatics into an outstanding new potent hybrid. It is a cross of Auto Blueberry® and Auto Mazar®, two of our most loved and best selling cannabis seed varieties.  The connoisseur-quality Auto Blueberry parentage benefits from the potency and heavy yields of the Auto Mazar genetics, this is one of the best automatics available today and one which we believe will be very hard to surpass.  Blue Auto Mazar® is ready to harvest around 75 days after germination and is 75% indica and 25% sativa.  This variety will produce cannabis plants which are a blend of both parent genetics, but you will also see some Auto Blueberry-leaning plants, and some which closely resemble the original Auto Mazar. This CBD-rich feminized auto variety uses genetics from the photoperiod CBD Compassion® and our Californian Orange x USA Sour Diesel crossing, known as Daiquiri Lime. Ratio of CBD:THC is between 1:1 and 4:1. Usually the CBD is present in greater quantities than THC. The combined effects of high CBD and medium-THC levels create a good medical variety with strong body effects and reduced pyscho-activity compared to typical THC-rich Dutch Passion auto varieties.

The variety has a great taste, with citrus lime flavours and a zesty aroma. CBD Auto Compassion Lime® may be ready to harvest just 10-11 weeks after germination, she likes 20 hours of daily light from seed to harvest and has abundant yields.

Auto Critical Orange Punch is a feminized Autoflower seed variety, the first Dutch Passion auto to use Critical genetics. This auto takes around 75 days to grow from seed to harvest and is easy to grow. She thrives under 20 hours of daily light and delivers genuine XXL harvests. The genetic foundation was Grandaddy Purps x Orange Bud (and was called Orange Punch) which gave great potency and taste but yields were below average until crossed with an elite XXL Auto Kritical Bilbo. Auto Critical Orange Punch is one of our strongest varieties with very heavy yields and buds that are white with resin. Some phenotypes can take an extra week or two at the end and deliver even heavier yields than normal. She usually reaches 70-100cm indoors, with a skunky citrus aroma and a rich Afghan hash taste. The Dutch Passion master breeder responsible for some of the best modern autoflowering genetics, such as Auto Mazar®, Auto Ultimate® and Auto Daiquiri Lime®, took extra special care to create Auto Orange Bud®. A male autoflowering Auto Daiquiri Lime individual was first crossed with our supreme original Orange Bud photoperiod mother plant.   He waited until he had enough capacity to make a selection from as many plants as possible, so he could breed the best from the best over 12 subsequent generations.


The project took over three years, our biggest and most complexed autoflowering breeding program so far. The breeder selectively bred those plants with the highest THC levels, the biggest yields, the authentic Orange Bud smell, taste and effect. The result was an autoflowering variety which is as good as our original photoperiod Orange Bud in potency, quality and aroma/taste. Even our experienced test panel could not notice the difference in a blind test.

Mazar® is one of the strongest and best varieties ever created by Dutch Passion. Our original Mazar® is a 1980’s classic made from a special Skunk#1 crossed with a prized Afghani, the genetics were upgraded in 1997 and Mazar® remains one of our best selling varieties of all time.  Mazar® has a Christmas-tree appearance, the heavy side branches ensure large harvests. The growth vigour and toughness make Mazar® a good choice for less experienced growers.  Mazar® is a real Afghani hash plant with extremely heavy resin production and great potency.   She may need supporting at the end of flowering and produces notably strong odours.

Mazar® was one of the first Dutch Passion varieties available in feminized seeds, since then she has been used by other seed banks in the creation of new varieties.  The buds are sticky, highly aromatic, sweet and earthy with a taste of good Afghani hash and hints of pine/citrus.  The strong effect is very physical, powerful yet relaxing. A happy, cozy and numb combination with a contemplative and meditative mental quality.

Skunk 1

Purple#1® is  the world famous classic original purple variety that dates back to the early 1980’s and has been treasured for it’s uniquely beautiful purple colourings and great high.  Used extensively by other seedbanks for breeding, our original Purple#1® plant is a 50/50 sativa/indica mix.  The indica parentage comes from a very special purple Afghani which was carefully crossed in Holland with some top indica and sativa strains to create a strong outdoor plant that is fully adapted to the Dutch climate. 

Yields are a reasonable 250-350 grams per plant, the calyx’s turn purple quickly as flowering begins and the buds are complemented by sweet and sticky small purple leaves that grow amongst the resin soaked purple buds.  Purple #1® is typically 1.5m-2.5m tall, it is for outdoors/greenhouse only and is an early finisher.  The fan leaves are often sativa-like in appearance and show amazing purple colours. 

This variety has had it’s own dedicated fanbase for several decades and remains a popular and beautifully distinctive strain some 30 years after it was first released.  Purple#1® gives a sticky, fruity purple-streaked ganja that has a superb fast-hitting high.  The high isn’t the longest lasting but this is more than compensated for by the quality of the experience.  It is more of an ‘up’ high than a stone with a somewhat rough, yet subtle, aroma.  A great choice for those seeking a fast-finishing tough outdoor variety that combines striking purple buds with a fresh and potent high.

Outlaw Amnesia is a top quality old-school Amnesia Haze dominant Sativa that will appeal to both beginners and connoisseur growers alike. She is 80/20 sativa/indica with around 20% THC and is a cross of our Super Haze with a very special clone of Amnesia. The high is powerful and fast with a clear uplifting sativa high and a strong Haze accent. The taste is fresh, sour, strong and old-school Hazy. OutLaw will stretch more than most, she can triple in height during bloom, and grows well with the SCROG method.
 
Although she can be harvested as early as 9 weeks, a full 12 week flower period may be required for best taste, yield and high. She grows well in all grow mediums with perhaps the best yields in hydro where yields of up to 500g/m2 are possible, classifying this as a high production variety.

Original Mazar is a legendary prize-winning variety which needs no introduction; we crossed this with an indica-dominant auto to create Auto Mazar®. StarRyder® is the product of a very successful project between Dutch Passion and the Joint Doctor. The collaboration took a few years to create this outstanding autoflower variety. An exceptional Dutch Passion Isis clone, a premium sativa with a first class “high”, was carefully hybridised by Joint Doctor with one of his best indica dominant automatics. The result is a very potent autoflower variety. The first part of the name refers to the outstanding quality and performance, a real Star. The second part of the name refers to the Joint Doctor, the autoflowering pioneer and producer of the original LowRyder.

StarRyder® grows like a compact Christmas tree, producing large resinous buds, growing to around 50cm tall and yielding 45 to 100 grams to the average grower. Experienced autoflower growers can yield over 100 grams per plant growing in soil or coco. Yields of over 200 grams per plant are possible with hydro methods such as DWC (Deep Water Culture) in the hands of the very best growers who will be able to grow plants around 1m tall. The THC content is around 15 to 19% which is special for an autoflower variety. The “high” is described as powerful and fast hitting. The taste is smooth and sweet.

StarRyder® is the product of a very successful project between Dutch Passion and the Joint Doctor.

Using genetics from legendary jungle sativa Desfrán, this is one of the best sativa auto ever developed by Dutch Passion. Auto Desfrán has a devastatingly powerful high, not for beginners or just before bedtime! The buds have a rich white resin frosting and a tropical skunky aroma.

The pure sativa genetics from photoperiod Desfrán were converted to autoflowering format thanks to sativa genetics from Auto Daiquiri Lime, this all-sativa hybridization ensures all the best sativa traits are preserved. The strong sativa influence means this auto takes unusually long to bloom, up to 15 weeks from seed to harvest. But the connoisseur auto growers will find the extra few weeks are worth the wait for the exceptionally potent smoke quality with a strong psychoactive high.

Using genetics from legendary jungle sativa Desfrán, this is one of the best sativa auto ever developed by Dutch Passion. 

Auto Euforia® combines genetics from our original photoperiod Euforia® with a carefully selected Automatic Skunk.  Euforia® herself is an original 1990’s photoperiod Skunk selection chosen for the unique euphoric high which many people experience.  The anti-stress Euphoric feeling remains the most appreciated quality of both the auto and photoperiod Euforia® genetic lines. This is an automatic sativa with a unique anti anxiety feel-good factor, the fact that she is so easy to grow and yields heavily is a great bonus.

Auto Euforia® is a compact/bushy variety with a skunky taste and sweet aroma.  Auto Euforia® is also a productive variety of both buds and resin, yielding well above average and reaching around 1 metre tall.  Typically this variety is harvested 10-11 weeks after germination.  Auto Euforia® produces top strength cannabis with an energising and happy high, which is at the same time both refreshing and numbing.  Auto Euforia® is a great choice if you need a variety which is uncomplicated to grow yet  capable of producing top quality harvests.  This is a tough and robust variety which is also suitable for less experienced auto growers.

Auto Euforia® combines genetics from our original photoperiod Euforia® with a carefully selected Automatic Skunk.

Auto Frisian Dew® has been upgraded and improved, it is now based on a specially selected Purple phenotype of our photoperiod Frisian Dew.  Several generations of careful selection then followed before we felt happy with the improvements to  Auto Frisian Dew®.  The plants tend to have rich purple colourations on the blooms, though the leaves stay green.  Mold resistance is improved, so is taste.  Plants typically reach 60-80cm tall and are often ready 10 weeks after germination, sometimes in under 10 weeks.  In cooler outdoor conditions the plant can require an extra week or two. This variety is a little faster than our normal automatics and this helps maximise mold resistance in demanding outdoor conditions.  Auto Frisian Dew® performs well indoors, in a greenhouse or outdoors in a sunny, warm spot.  Typical yields are 50-60g per plant, but with the right conditions yields of 100g+ are quite possible.  Auto Frisian Dew®, with the deep rich purple hues is one of our most attractive Autoflowers, and also delivers good quantities of strong, relaxing pot.
