Super Boof

This strain gives me big Trop Cherry and Cheetah Piss vibes, but it hits me differently than either of those two (which only the Trop has any shared lineage with SB).
After reading some reviews of this strain, I went to Goldflower in Bradenton because I saw that they had rosin syringes on sale for $16/G (yes, you read that right) so I had to try it out.
The first thing I did after leaving the store was open the package, pull the cover off the syringe, and pushed some out onto my finger to smell it and then eat it. The aromas I get are straight up orange-citrus with a spicy Cheetah Piss sort of backend smell. The taste, even though I ate only a tiny pearl (a dot, much less than a typical “grain of rice” dose) stayed in my mouth for over an hour and it was very nice and pleasant, super clean and orange-y.
When I got back to the house, I pulled out my trusty HighFive Duo and set it to 350 for my first small dab of SB rosin. As this was the 2024 Leafly SotY, I was very excited. The first inhalation was pure warm orange flavor, like if you put orange juice in a microwave for a few seconds to the point that it becomes fragrant, almost like an orange cleaning product smell (but in the best way). Diving further into the puddle in the quartz dabbing surface, I found more of a Caryophyllene taste and effect; the initial orange flavor and the spicy backend combined were the same taste as early in the day when I ate it, but the dab setup separated flavors and effects into “initial hit” and “latter hits” and I truly enjoyed all of it.
This is a rare exception, as I enjoyed dabbing this beautiful golden rosin, but I find myself thinking about eating it more so than using it for inhalation. Most oils end up getting dabbed in my household, but I’ve got .75G left of this SB and I’ll likely only use it for edibles or just eat it raw, but sparingly so it lasts for a while.
I will be grabbing more Super Boof ASAP, as I want to see if Goldflower’s flower smokes as well as their rosin dabs and works as an edible for me.
If you like orange-y strains with a little something extra on the tail end to make it different, this strain is one I’d definitely recommend you try out. I could see it being overly stimulating or maybe even overwhelming for less-seasoned users, but it never got on top of me and just kept me feeling good for hours at a time.
Finally…Not that I’m advocating for cigarette use, but…If you choose to paint a line of rosin on a cigarette and smoke it, you get a terp’d-out spliff sort of experience and it’s pretty amazing. Not recommended for menthols, but a nice regular “full-flavor” works perfectly to showcase the oil alongside the smooth tobacco flavor, and the cannabinoids and nicotine seem to work very well together, like coffee and weed combine for a better effect than either separately.
TL;DR~ Super Boof is a phenomenal orange strain with some underlying spicy notes that make for a wonderfully unique flavor and effects. This strain quickly became one of my favorites and is definitely one I’ll recommend to friends and anyone who asks about it.
Final note: While I did find this strain to be somewhat stimulating, especially when eaten, I wouldn’t call it too much of a “sativa” experience, especially as the dose’s effects wear down, but, I WOULD NOT USE THIS STRAIN BEFORE BEDTIME! It never had me wired, but it also never brought me down enough to be calm enough to go to sleep either so I wouldn’t try this as a nighttime strain unless it was the only weed I had left.
