Chem de la Chem strain

Bred by JJ at Top Dawg Seeds and grown by Lume in Michigan, the Chem de la Chem has become my favorite Chem cut. This batch tested at 33.3% THC, .06% CBD, and 2.78% terps - it's a strongy! Nugs have big calyxes and big trichome heads that look like grains of sugar, with excellent coverage; smells like a delectable combination of sweetness and creaminess, like an almost-vanilla smell, with a hard chemical edge and a faint herbal smell that comes through intermittently. But the smell is primarily sweet and super creamy, tastes the same; you cannot help but love the smell and taste of CDLC. If you've never experienced "creamy" weed before, CDLC is your huckleberry. And the high is nuanced because it hits in a way that is both strong and smooth, like a velvet-covered sativa sledgehammer. It begins with a little change in the body, a lightening of the shoulders, before the initial head change arrives with a nice and stony brain buzz that seems to gel serendipitously with everything (as long as you don't have to do anything). This is not a "get things done" kind of sativa but it's instead a nighttime sativa, a very stony & psychedelic sativa hybrid with some swimminess in the body, and it's a long-lasting high. The high reminds me of ECSD (my favorite), it's both extremely stony & psychedelic AND euphoric & relaxing, it doesn't jack up your heart rate or make you feel like jumping out of your skin. Goes perfectly with music, as I went straight to Mozart's 41st Symphony when I first smoked this CDLC; it turns music into a mystical, psychic journey. This is a connoisseur's strain.

I tried smelling my bowl as if I were a really pretentious person sniffing fine wine. Seriously, my pinkie was in the air and I got so distracted by trying to identify the smell of this flower, I dipped my nose into its ashes. Can’t put my finger on it. I will return when I’m certain my grinder doesn’t already have a heap of something else in it. Because this might honestly be a medley of flower. In any case, what I just smoked was interesting enough for me to come here and write a review so I can keep track of these things. I tried keeping a journal/those i-notes (or whatever they’re called), but it helps to have all the flavor/effects options listed out like this…I remembered why I haven’t done this sooner (use the app to record whatever it is I need to record), and it’s because one must write words in order to save one’s impression. So here are my words…I’m a stoned writer, I’m so sorry…and cheers to Chem de la Chem, which is the flower that finally got me to write words and save my review.

I have been searching for the right strain to help my neck arthritis and to calm my mind and body and Chem de la Chem is it! Stumbled upon this gem when I got enough reward points at Lume Cannabis to get a free preroll. Was asked Sativa, Hybrid, or Indica. I'm a sativa gal so naturally I picked sativa. Immediately upon inhalation I was surprised at how smooth the smoke was. Hubby took a toke too and he said the same thing and he doesn't usually partake. Within 15-20 minutes I could feel my muscles soften and relax, but not to the point of couch lock, and my mind could stay focused and not jumping all around with manic thoughts. By 30 minutes I was totally relaxed, yet still productive. I became more talkative, but not to the point that people would really notice. Didn't give me the munchies. While I knew my neck pain was there, I couldn't feel it. That is a first for me. This is now my "go to" strain. I've tried many strains to find the right one that works for my issues and I'm SO happy to have finally nailed it down. Bought 1/2 oz of flower to vape at home. Turned a friend onto it as well as he suffers from ADD and depression. He didn't want to smoke (especially a sativa) as he said it makes his mind spin to the point of being manic. He decided to take 2-3 tokes anyway. The effect it had for him was short of a miracle. His mind slowly relaxed, he could focus on tasks and conversations better, and really enjoyed music. I've never seen him this way before. He's now a fan of this strain as well. Great medical benefits. Highly (pun intended) recommend if anyone suffers both physically and mentally.

Really funky chem smell. Good smooth smoke. Classic chemdawg flavor. A nice heady, but not too heady, high. Paired with a body high that’s a 5/10. Nice strain. (I’m biased because I like anything from chemdawg lineage. Very unique and remarkable profile 😂)

great mix along with a nice earth hybrid or indica strain definitely is for relaxation and you feel no pain from this strain

It's labeled as a Sativa, but I don't find any of the usual effects a Sativa usually brings. To me (49byr old smoker) it reminds me of the kind of old-school high, where you needed 20 minutes to de-stem and de-seed your eigth before smoking. It's that old-school kind of high. I love it. Feel like I'm in high school again. Same kind of high where you couldn't hide it from your parents when you were 16 yrs old. Very relaxing and euphoric high. East to nod off with bong in hand watching TV (happens to me often) and I have a really high tolerance. I usually just get tired of smoking before I get as high as I want. This is a "knock my dick in the dirt" kinds high. Great for Indica as well as sativa smokers. Will not get you anxious.

Awesome Strain - for me it the effects lean more into the indica hybrid feels - feeling heavy, relaxed and free of stress. good body load too you can really feel the heavyness in a good way. I can not tell you what this strain exactly smells or tastes like except that it tastes gassy and creamy(with this peppery aftertaste) but the combination is fire. I find myself smoking more than ususal even though it is 30% just bc I love the taste of it. I smell my grinder every time I roll up :) For me this is definitely up there on the Top 5 and I will be getting some 30% Ice Cream Cake x Kush Mints next week too which I look forward too (I think I am going to do this a little bit more often just to remember the feel of my favourite strains). 5/5 Stars would recommend at least because of the unique taste when smoking it <3

Lume cultivated in Michigan. 27.5% ThcA, 3.49% Terps, 0.05% CBD, 24.48% ThC. Smells of sweet tea and burnt orange zest. Spongy light green buds, orange hairs. Breaks into 100's of "mini-buds" with light orange hairs on each. Smooth as silk, all Sativa smoke. Uplifting, energizing, creative and focused. Woody dry leaf, tea and nutty smoke. No headrush, No euphoria, no eye pressure and no anxiety. Very nice high quality Sativa.

Great strain. Definitely not a nighttime smoke, however, I do get a decent amount of pain relief. As other have said, it’s a very focused high. Great for creative endeavors as well. It’s a good mix of “head high” and a but body high as well, maybe 60/40 Definitely one of my new favorites!

Chill and tastes very sweet and delicious. Ideal if you want to focus on something specific without getting distracted and did I say that it's chill?
