A truly excellent establishment. Very fair prices and a clean, professional atmosphere. I was thoroughly impressed with the selection, quality, and price of bud. The pre rolls were pretty good too.

A catching name for a catching strain. With an impressive amount of trichomes resembling nuclear fallout, this sativa-dominant bud delivers with a euphoric experience which is not too overpowering. I have enjoyed smoking this strain while working on my computer this past week, and I ultimately believe it is ideal for those who want a quality buzz while still remaining functional. The smoke is smooth, the smell is subtle, and sensations endure for a decent amount of time... and that's why this strain misses a 5 star rating. With an intense of name such as this, not living up to the expected hype is a slight disappointment. While I would certainly reccommend this strain, it is not "atomic bud". Fair price: $15/gram.

For $9/gram, an incredible deal and a decent strain. The bud is visually appealing in terms of color and consistency, and the smoke is not too harsh. I certainly felt "downing" effects ranging from relaxation, body euphoria, and perhaps a tad sleepy (but far from overpowering)... But these effects did not last that long. I think this would be a great end-of-the-day strain and a fair price would be $10/gram or less.

An impressive bud all around. The color, trichomes, and red hairs give this strain visual appeal as does the smooth smell- pungent, but balanced. The smoke is also rather smooth and pleasant with effects that are relaxing, uplifting, calming, and perhaps even creative. It doesn't knock you out of your senses but the sensation is pleasantly noticeable. This may have been a 5-star review if it was not for the price (and I always evaluate the price when reviewing strains). I think the $20/gram I paid is a bit much and would say a fairer price would be around $15/gram.

After waiting nearly 4 years, we finally have a dispensary in the Kalamazoo/Portage area... and it's wonderful! In fact, I would say Lake Effect is the preeminent medical dispensary in the whole of Southwest Michigan. While they limit their stock to bud, the wide variety of strains is unparalleled for the region (and they have a nifty iPad you can order from if that's up your alley). All of the products are thoroughly tested and described on placards in great detail (THC content, cannabinoids, effects, etc.). The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and display genuine enthusiasm in their work. The best thing, however, is their prices... With grams ranging from $9-$20, they remain competitive on a statewide level in terms of price (i.e., no regional markups). I am delighted with this dispensary and hope they continue to operate unfettered by the City of Portage. They provide important, much needed care for patients in the area- who no longer have to drive over an hour away- and appear to be an upstanding member of the local business community.

A wonderful model for a dispensary! Their major strength is in the wide array of products and services offered, most of which are fairly priced. The atmosphere is clean, professional, and very relaxed. My only complaint would be that the bud prices are a bit steep, but this is made up for by the multitudes of oils, edibles, candies, lotions, and other cannabis-based products available.

In a word, mediocre. There's lots of hype around this strain but with little reason from my experience. Its dull appearance is more telling of its effects- Dark, almost brown, hairs (and many of them), a medium degree of trichomes, a subtle smell, and a moss-like color. It gives a mild body buzz when smoked with sedating effects (calm, relaxed, sleepy). Perhaps a better use of this strain would be in infusions, oils, and edibles due to the high CBD content. A fair price would be no more than $15/gram.

A rather good strain, but just like actual glue, it comes up just short of a perfect fix which I expect when paying $20/gram. The bright-green color was great, tons of trichomes, super sticky, and a smooth smoking experience with all the sass of sativa. The effects were uplifting, focused, and calming with a slight body buzz. I was left wanting more of that body euphoria, however, and ultimately think a fair price would be no more than $15/gram.

Professional, informative, clean, and caring. A wonderful variety of bud which is tested so you know exactly what you are getting (i..e., percentages of THC & CBDs). Very knowledgeable about their products and legal services- I truly admire their concern for patient protection and well-being. Prices can be a bit high and usually there is only 1-or-2 $10/gram ($35/eighth) specials, but their major strength is in quality product and informed patients. An hour from Kzoo but worth the trip if you want premium meds.

Very appealing color and smell- not too strong of odor but enough "umph" to indicate a worthwhile experience. Lots of trichomes! Pleasant to smoke with uplifting effects ranging from euphoria, increased focus, and comfort. Great to use for getting work done. $15/gram is just a tad high, but $40/eighth was well worth it!
